Fire is a proto-plasma, while it contains some amount of ionized gas, fire mostly consists of microscopic incandescent soot particles as well as certain atmospheric gasses that also become incandescent. The glow of flames may also have something to do with there being so much heat that it breaks past the infrared spectrum into the visible spectrum, but that's speculation on my part.
Actually, there is a way to control the direction of an electric arc/lightning bolt. A finely focused laser can be used to ionize an electrical path that has much less resistance to the current path

Now make a sound board that fits inside the grip, triggered by a ball switch or accelerometer, that plays the SW blaster sound every time you fire. (Triggered by the recoil) 👍
Tracer rounds have a phospherous tip, when fired the gas in the chamber ignites the phospherous which causes the tracer to glow when it flies through the air. Theres nothing in the back of the round to make it glow. The military dont use green tracers nearly as much as red.
The first thing I thought was to make Chewbacca's Bowcaster with some kind of plasma ejection. Honestly it sounds pretty cool the more I think about it. But I've always liked the Construktion 96 aka Mauser C96. Han Solo's DL-44 was awesome too. Not to mention, Green beams were produced from a higher-quality gas, thus costing more. Blue beams used ion-based charges for more effectiveness against electronic and mechanical targets, such as droids. Orange beams were low powered and used more in training.
Thanks for the fire/plasma explanation. My limited amount of reasearch on the topic only convinced me that I didn't want to know badly enough to get involved in all the debates. Those are kinda hard to get now and ruining one, even one that's not in particularly great shape, to make a prop gun is highly frowned upon. A lot of star wars blaster props starting from about Return of the Jedi up to today are built on readily available AR platform rifles anyways. Rogue One had a good example of making a heavy blaster pistol out of an AR receiver.
@@prvt.harumi6821 They do not. There's a million very good looking airsoft replicas, but there's no actual replica firearms. There was a lot of them made though, as it was very popular and in production for almost 40 continuous years by Mauser, and there's plenty of unlicensed Chinese copies from the 30s and 40s as well. A lot of the surviving ones now sit in private collections and don't make it onto market unless someone dies or decides they don't want it anymore. Mauser pretty much only makes sporting rifles now.

Actually when I read about these blasters at a suprisingly young age it did say that the blasters do fire actual projectiles, and at such immense spead that it escapes the plasma which envelopes it and basically pulls the plasma behind The projectile itself. The projectile initially penetrates, and then the following up plasma does burning and electrical damage. It happens so quickly and the round itself is moving far to quickly to see. Even the plasma would be difficult to see if it werent glowing. It would be good for fighting both organic targets and robotic targets like drones/droids. Take note of the actual designs of the blasters. Notice that they actually use magazines. The books i was reading had these blown up super in depth colored diagram illustrations and had every component labeled.
One theory I have heard about is having a dual system. The gun first fires a laser at the target, thus creating a pathway for the plasma to follow. The charged plasma is then released to travel down the length of the laser to the target. Since this is all happening at such high speeds, the laser only needs to exist for a short time. It then just comes down to how much energy the plasma can transfer to the target in order to do damage via thermal and / or kinetic.
Holy shit i came for star wars plasma blaster and left supremely entertained after many out-loud laughs. Well done my friend, subscribed! Sick build by the way🔥
There is a flash hider for 30 caliber ARs . It's the best flash hider on the market but when you shoot with it installed it makes a loud ring sound. The ring sound can act like the noise of a Star Wars blaster
The test near the beginning doesn't necessarily prove that there are ions in a flame. It could simply be that the heat or chemical composition of the flame lowers the dielectric breakdown voltage of the air, which would allow a spark to cross a greater gap. Furthermore, showing ions in air does not mean it has to be a plasma. A plasma is a collection of ions, but that is not a bijection. Not all collections of ions are plasmas. Salt dissolves in water into ions, which increases the conductivity of water. That isn't a plasma. While it's hard to imagine some chemical dissolving in air, it's not impossible, and that would also produce ions.
Grape in a microwave works too. Mini ‘grape’ and mini microwave in the mag would do it. Or get real technical and use a rail gun because plasmas react to magnetic fields.
Apart of The Arc Troopers uniform is a backpack, that would be perfect for a large power supply! Please at least three barrels! Please no coil gun, really interested in The Railgun and how having more barrels will diminish barrel damage! Last but not least this is easily one of the coolest and less known Star Wars weapon bc it fires projectiles!
Literally all we need now is for someone to make it so that you can have a non reloadable version of this but using plasma and fire, which I don’t think would be too impossible to make
I've theorized that Blasters eject their plasma of a ring, like blowing a smoke ring. The magnetic fields work out great for this as they wrap around it, this also explains why the stun setting on the blaster looks like a ring, it's just allowing higher expansion while the normal bolt we see the ring is so tight we cant see the hole in the middle and most of it's aparent length is just leakage.
Long eye-relief scopes are also used on rifles for certain applications. It allows faster target acquisition for closer ranges. An example of a rifle with this style of scope would be a scout rifle
Turned out to be a rather fun show. The very reproduced soundeffects really made the day for the show too. Very nicely done. Han Solo, and Harrison Ford very likely would approve.
Stupid-COOL !!! As a Star Wars fan since the day the first (ie. Ep. IV, May 25, 1977) common was released, there are two things I've always wanted...or, at least, wanted to see - a real lightsaber, and a real blaster. Hacksmith Industries has been hard at work turning the first into 'reality'. Nice to (finally) see someone (sorta-kinda) tackling the second. 🤙🏼
the first real gun (since apparently now airguns are legally now firearms) i ever shot was a .22 caliber AR 15. my guy took one of them and put tracers in it. instant subscribe.
Some day someone somewhere (probably on RUclips) will create a real SW blaster or lightsaber and when they do I'll be watching! Nice video. That was a pretty creatively simple way to get a blaster effect.
It's easier and cheaper for production studios to buy military surplus guns, convert them to fire only blanks, and tack on a bunch of sci-fi looking stuff, than it is to build a sci-fi gun from the ground up. Aliens has MG42s and MG34s as their rig mounted smart guns, and the M41-A Pulse Blaster is just a Thompson with a bunch of stuff on it. Also, Star Wars has MG42s and MG34s, STG44s, M16A1s, etc.
Star Wars props were made from what that could get their hands on, they had a tiny budget. I don't care what you used, you captured the aesthetics and made it work for real. Smaller powder charge and more tracer compound would improve the effect. Plastic clear bullets?
Really great video, I love the creativity and innovation of the design. on the other hand, Star Wars blasters run on Tabana gas cartridges, and they inject a small amount at a time to create an extremely energy dense plasma bolt. I do understand that it doesn't exist, but maybe butane?
idea, make the flares smaller till they are able to fit into your "ar 15 pistol" and make it so they can cycle from the magazine to the barrel, if you get what i mean. if you want a little demonstration ill post a yt video or if you want a social media platform i can send you my interpriatation. but as i live in the uk my lawas are very strict with firearms.
I built a BUFFER-LESS 5.56 NATO/.223 Wylde pistol. While the 5.56 NATO tracer ammo is close in diameter to the .22 LR ammo, it is longer and more energetic and thus MUCH brighter, so even cooler than what was done here (but about $1/round). I really like his touches to the gun’s aesthetics, and I think I’ll be upgrading mine similarly. Now to find a Han Solo style holster…
Next time, maybe try 9mm. Poe Dameron's blaster is a sig p226 and the First Order's blaster pistols are Glocks. Modding a Sterling would be easy. Just attatch a scope, use a 10 round magazine and put winshield wiper blades into the handguard. Easy to change back too.

Sick build by the way🔥
Highly informative and very entertaining. Thank you
There is a flash hider for 30 caliber ARs . It's the best flash hider on the market but when you shoot with it installed it makes a loud ring sound.
The ring sound can act like the noise of a Star Wars blaster
That is incredible. I would have never thought of it that way.
Pretty cool! Criminally underrated channel.
Bro, one of the coolest and freshest of ideas to hit the tube in awhile.
Grape in a microwave works too. Mini ‘grape’ and mini microwave in the mag would do it. Or get real technical and use a rail gun because plasmas react to magnetic fields.
"Gun laws are retarded" is the best quote from this vid
Please create a Rotary Railgun based on Star Wars Arc Troopers shoulder mounted Chaingun!🙏👍
Gotta admit, that was pretty cool!
Literally all we need now is for someone to make it so that you can have a non reloadable version of this but using plasma and fire, which I don’t think would be too impossible to make
Thank you for the informative content. Your work will be put to good use.
You deserve much more subs
Long eye-relief scopes are also used on rifles for certain applications. It allows faster target acquisition for closer ranges. An example of a rifle with this style of scope would be a scout rifle
Turned out to be a rather fun show. The very reproduced soundeffects really made the day for the show too.
Very nicely done. Han Solo, and Harrison Ford very likely would approve.
Cod zombies had a gun that shoots electricity known as the wunderwaffe dg-2
Stupid-COOL !!! As a Star Wars fan since the day the first (ie. Ep. IV, May 25, 1977) common was released, there are two things I've always wanted...or, at least, wanted to see - a real lightsaber, and a real blaster. Hacksmith Industries has been hard at work turning the first into 'reality'. Nice to (finally) see someone (sorta-kinda) tackling the second. 🤙🏼
That’s pretty freaking cool!
the first real gun (since apparently now airguns are legally now firearms) i ever shot was a .22 caliber AR 15. my guy took one of them and put tracers in it. instant subscribe.
I've only watched 2 of your videos. But they're so well done! Can't wait to watch them all, hope you're OK and will create more videos in the future.
I’m doing great and you can find me making videos on the King of Random RUclips
Some day someone somewhere (probably on RUclips) will create a real SW blaster or lightsaber and when they do I'll be watching! Nice video. That was a pretty creatively simple way to get a blaster effect.
Hellz Yeah! Great video Jake. I really enjoy seeing your passion for creating something so dope.
dude the test with the flame and taser was awesome , Something i never knew
15:03 fireball blaster
Really great video, I love the creativity and innovation of the design. on the other hand, Star Wars blasters run on Tabana gas cartridges, and they inject a small amount at a time to create an extremely energy dense plasma bolt. I do understand that it doesn't exist, but maybe butane?
Looks amazing that. Need to figure out the sound too that would be so cool.
idea, make the flares smaller till they are able to fit into your "ar 15 pistol" and make it so they can cycle from the magazine to the barrel, if you get what i mean. if you want a little demonstration ill post a yt video or if you want a social media platform i can send you my interpriatation. but as i live in the uk my lawas are very strict with firearms.
