Hello! I wrote this song in late 2019, and now I dedicate it as a love letter, to all things shitposting, voice synth and Japanese rock (three things I owe very much to when it comes to my art and music). And yes, the font is Arial.

this has genuinely become one of the most inspiring songs to me, not just in composition but in how the video was made and... well, just everything. the vocal synth scene is great all around with lots of variety, but i don't think you see a lot of english songs with this energy to it, nor in this genre, if that makes sense? ippo really combined the best elements of eleanor's voice and tuning with the sound of more classic vocaloid rock tracks, and that rings true for all of their music! it's really reminiscent of the emotive guitar and light synth you would hear in some early 2010s works. i always come back to oyasumination because it gives me motivation to do music in a similar realm, something i've wanted to accomplish for years but didn't really see anywhere else.

I love how simultaneously angry and silly this song/music video is. The silliness and anger compliment each other really well! Rather than being frustrating or depressing, it's a goofy but extremely satisfying story about helping an alien throw Elon Musk into the sun. The rough-around-the-edges drawings and animations help with that I think -- it's the same vibes of an angry protagonist having unkempt hair, except it's the whole world.

The lyrics are about the end of the world, and how people are living their lives without really understanding the weight of their actions. The reference to "The last dinosaur" is symbolic of the end of an era, and the uncertainty of what comes next. The lyrics also touch on the idea of people stealing the efforts of others and not really earning their successes, and how this will eventually lead to their downfall. The chorus speaks of the inevitability of a reckoning, when people will have to face the consequences of their actions. The overall message is to live life with an understanding of the impact we have on the world around us.
I feel like this analysis paints with too broad a brush. It uses very vague terms for a song that's ultimately about the specific problems of late stage capitalism and its powerful figures.

This fucks. Dripping with early 10s energy and modern angst. Layered lyricism and matching Midwest harmony. A great show all around.
Shit, the tuning is godlike, the use of multi vocal tracks makes the lyrics sound rich and powerful, the guitar tone is just lovely, the gliding synths don't take up much of the sound but serve to enhance it really well, and MAN the drums are amazing holy shit, the rhythm changes a lot but the drums transition them so smoothly

i first found this in my discover weekly on spotify... it's gorgeous. as others have said the tuning is absolutely amazing. this song transports me to paradise each time i hear it... something so melancholy and distant about it, yet impossibly warm, like i'm running towards the ocean and surfing a huge wave on an empty, white beach but i know that an angel will rescue me if i think i'm drowning. i can feel its wings brushing against my face in this song's melodies

i love how the editing has the vibe of japanese aviutl edited vocaloid songs (radiating hachi pv energy), and the english community
i also love how the sine synths in the background sound like kagepro,,, i love seeing the influences in one way or another, it feel like a tribute in some way
i also find it refreshing that the chorus starts on the 1 chord especially when almost everything else starts on 4

The MV is such a dream on its own, no other style would have fit the song better than this, and the execution is top-notch.
Of course, the song itself is a masterpiece too, really, "the weight of the world" is a phrase that's going to stay engraved in my mind for a very long time.
Also, I love how Eleanor appears repeatedly as some kind of final boss figure throughout the song and acknowledges the MC at the end with that peace sign, it was too beautiful! I'm crying now.

the artist came from kalimantan, a rather left out province on indonesia, a developing country, the context of the song is probably about jokowi, which for some people are a competent precident, which is probably true, he built many infrastructure and architecture on his periode, which would be good if it's not centered on only jakarta, and not built by money from digging every single drop of oil from rural province and debt, his tower of babel and vision for future shall now fall

That song is great and paired with the video it's a winning combo. It gives me some really comfy early Vocaloid PV vibes and that may be due to the J-Rock influences you mentioned but whatever it is I like. I feel like if there was a NND Hall of Fame for English Vocaloids this one should be up the chart somewhere.

I was very amazed on how good this is, ever since I discovered jpop I stopped listening to new english songs and only rarely listen to old ones, but this is a long while since I founded a english song that I really enjoyed, I only restart my journey in vocaloid after I found the issue in jpop as I found in new english song while the lack of experimentation and make me get bored of it, but vocaloid make me fall in love with music again as they are more experimental and don't scared to get into very taboo subject and the contradiction between the catchy and bop music to the dark and distrubing themes of the lyrics is what kept me invested, not only that I love how chaotic and hormonic the music is, your music really make me wanna try some english vocaloid songs

I love ghost and circus as much as the next dude but yeah the overly edgy dark early-Hachi sound gets stale when every English vocaloid song has it…I love that the producers you mentioned are experimenting more!!

Listening to this felt gave me the same feeling as listening to law evading rock for the first time. And finding out you were a big neru fan made that make a lot of sense. This song is exactly what I’ve been looking for! A song that has that Japanese sound but is originally sung in English.
