I think why everyone likes Fukase's version is for two reasons 1. It's a very popular cover, I actually heard it before the original and thought it was an original 2. There's no growl but there's still a dynamic change, also, his voice is very human like, this makes the yell hurt more. It's a very human song, so it hurts more.
i still prefer fukase's cover over the original or any other EXACTLY for that reason, he's tuned so well i don't even need my boy to growl to FEEL that scream in my VEINS. also he's just easier to sing along to with cause his tuning is so human.

There's another version for Rin's growl where she goes "aaaAaAaAa" (basically her voice breaks when she screams and it makes it sound a little more powerful and realistic than the other version's) and i really really recommend you give it a go

@@wevebi it's mostly cause people don't know how to do this and most of the covers are just rendered without any actual tuning, i see a lot of people using the same files and as a producer, i can hear the lack of actual tuning in there; it takes away the fun etc, and when people like me or others ACTUALLY tune something, they don't get any recognition. for example the luka cover sounds bad cause it hasn't been tuned at all, just rendered with her v4x voicebank. people should know that she's not good for "powerful" songs and if they use her like that, they should put effort in not making her sound muffled because it's actually very easy :)

Alright, let's give some of the main vocaloids some credit. Miku: Her voice is soft, not exactly a growl, but it's cute. Gakupo: His voice was extremely smooth. Kaito: His voice was actually quite nice. If there was a bit more rage behind the growl, he'd be a close second to Len. Len: Do I really have to say anything? Rin: Her voice is absolutely adorable, and emotional as well. Loved her's. Meiko: Surprisingly amazing. It was high pitched, but great. Teto: Her's was realistic, and a growl indeed.

@@ameilioracryptos5298 It's 100% the case tho, UTAU is really superior on a lot of points (like for thier realism, it can handle extreme power voicebank, it was the first to do "on note" pitchbands tuning, and the plug-ins) and inferior on some (like the outdated ui and no tension/air parameters, and no multi-track or inst-track)
UTAUloids have this roughness to them that helps make their growls distinct. As for VOCALOIDs, they’re professionally recorded, often with softer tones, because who in their right mind would add gruff screaming to the voicebank (except Len, he slayed it.)
Teto is easily the best growl for this song, ESPECIALLY when tuned by Tanjiro Taidana. He's an absolute LEGEND when it comes to tuning Teto. Love his work

I personally like meiko's the most, not because it's the best. But because when vocaloid came out, her voice bank was always left behind and she sounded really robotic and bad compared to the rest, I'm glad to see that they didn't forget about her entirely and she's reached the level of the others

am i the only one who prefers the ones without growls? i think the ones without sound more realistic in a way. sure theres nothing overly special about fukases but the way it sounds even without the growl makes it special to me lmao. Well the song originally was indeed a scream not growl but the growl version became more popular than the scream. That’s why miku has no growl cause it’s a scream

Miku: Her voice is soft, not exactly a growl, but it's cute.
Gakupo: His voice was extremely smooth.
Kaito: His voice was actually quite nice. If there was a bit more rage behind the growl, he'd be a close second to Len.

Rin: Her voice is absolutely adorable, and emotional as well. Loved her's.
Meiko: Surprisingly amazing. It was high pitched, but great.

UTAUloids have this roughness to them that helps make their growls distinct.
As for VOCALOIDs, they’re professionally recorded, often with softer tones, because who in their right mind would add gruff screaming to the voicebank (except Len, he slayed it.)
I love Len's one because when he does his growl, it sounds real and full of emotion.
