  • Last weekend all German-weighted athletes fought for the title of the German champion in weighted calisthenics.
    I won my third title in a row! My weight class was from 73 to 81kg.
    My story inspired you? Do you also want to combine weighted calisthenics, skills, and lifting to become your best version? Let me help you to avoid my mistakes and get you the progress of your life. I have a few online coaching spots left! @AbolK2 Yes, strength and skill are linked, but believe me, it's not automatic that being strong equals doing advanced skills. You still have to work on flexibility and joint/tendon strength, as well as just practicing skills.

    Do you know why they don't have weighted chin ups in the competition? For chin ups the movement/execution is much more clear, since you can lock yourself in below and above. Pull ups you can't really lock yourself above and people just keep throwing their chins up to do "a legit rep". Chest to bar would be also great as you have to touch the bar with your chest to compete a rep, which is much harder, but also more clear.

    Like you said this sport is pretty young, so I think maybe it's better that the final be judged by the score which consider factors on each movement: such as squat weight multiple 1.0, dips weight multiple 1.5, pull-up weight multiple 2.5, muscle-up weight multiple 5.0. Factors that demonstrate the difficulty in each movement may be helpful to let people understand this compete better, and guide athletes to train in a featured overall result.

    Wow didn’t even know there’s a competition like this I muscle up 10kg pull-ups 60 dips 100 and squats 220 coz i do Olympic Weightlifting 🏋️‍♀️ weighted pull-ups and dips is just an accessory exercise I could get in top3 for that

  • @THExJMC
    @THExJMC 5 лет назад

    Being a powerlifter the 120kg dip you got really interests me. I just got back into heavy dips and managed to do 180 lbs for 5 reps. Never imagined going for a 1RM on dips, but now it could be something i go for just for fun.

    My guy you probably won't see this but you deserve all the respect, ignore those guys they will never make it in life just like everyone that tries to bring people down and to be quite honest i love powerlifting but calisthenics are much harder and to do it with that much weight it's insane. Just remember many people can do powerlifting but what you have done it's mindblowing hard, keep it up💪

      He mentioned that he can do only 50 kg weighted pull ups for 3 so I guess this guy is stronger especially since climbers excel in pulling exercises so his weighted dips 1rm won't be very good compared to this guy and finally he don't train his legs

    At all the haters who say a powerlifter could beat this easily really have zero clue:
    Let's take a theoretical look and say Lü Xiaojun would compete here. He is an insane olympic gold medalist and 6x world champion in weightlifting. His weight in competition is about 77kg like Micha. The data we can gather from him:
    - Weighted Dips: 4x80KG -> 1RM: 87.3KG
    - Squats: 1RM - 275KG
    - Muscle ups: (estimate) 0KG
    - Pull-ups: (estimate, since he is clearly way stronger on push than pull) 30KG
    Total: 392.3KG
    Total Micha: 375KG / 385KG
    So Micha is less than 10KG off one of - if not - the best and strongest athlete in the world in the same weight category. And Lü has probably been weightlifting for 25+ years, has medical staff at his disposal, massages, PTs, cooks, etc.
    So please just acknowledge that what Micha is putting on here is strong AF.

    • @rip1me1off1
      @rip1me1off1 4 года назад +1

      I think the dip weight is slightly underestimated considering his form had more focus on triceps vs the dips in these competitions which can be done with more weight. Also, 30 Kg pullup is very low especially for an elite athlete like Lu. I do agree Micha is extremely strong but I think Lu would get much higher numbers than what you stated, especially if he took a few months to train for it.

    • @LeXx0r
      @LeXx0r 4 года назад

      @@rip1me1off1 I completely agree with you and I could easily see Lu doing a 100KG dip and a 50 or 60KG Pull-Up if he was going to train for it. My main point was just that people underestimate how strong Micha is in comparison even to world-class Athletes, he is certainly within 5-15% of Lu.

    • @MichaSchulz
      @MichaSchulz  4 года назад +1

      Considering the training time of 12 weeks for this event you also can't take this numbers too serious. Few month later (Max out comp, also on YT) my total was 412.5kg. Since this sport is so young the serious numbers will come in a few years
