    Another fun one would be "chop suey". If you served an American 杂碎 as the term is understood in China nowadays, they would have no idea what you served them, and probably wouldn't want to know either.

    I find it bewildering when Cantonese cannot understand Taishanese.

      If you want to know Hoisan Vah (Taishanese) let me know. Just 7:08 starting with numbers yit ngei thlam thlei m lok tit baht gyu sip(one thru ten) We have that unusual sound which I rendered as "thl" Again let me know! Ua deh thlai thank you very much
