Somers FD Rescue 20, Car 2443, & Mini Attack 14 Responding

Somers Fire Department Rescue 20, Car 2443, and Mini Attack 14 responding to a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment at Route 100 and Old Route 100 in Somers, New York. Car 2442, Engine 181, Utility 5, Car 8011, Ambulance 80B1, and Ambulance 80B5 from the Somers Fire Department, along with Car 4515 and 45-Medic-2 from the Northern Westchester Paramedics also responded to this call, but are not seen in this video.
45-Medic-2 was first to arrive on scene and reported a car into a tree, off the road, and down an embankment, with New York State Police on scene reporting the patient was unconscious. Car 2442 arrived on scene shortly after and established command. Command reported one vehicle overturned with extrication in progress. He also requested one engine from the Croton Falls Fire Department to standby in their own quarters to cover calls for Somers FD. Car 2073 and Engine 148 handled that assignment. The patient was extricated and pronounced deceased at the scene. Fire units remained on scene to assist State Police with the road closure for the accident investigation. The roadway was reopened and fire units returned to service after just under four hours of operation.
