You never disappoint with the way you capture these events and feeling your videos create man. I honestly don’t think there is another person out there that views this culture the way that your content does. Massive inspiration for me and i’m sure many others 👍🏼
Love the stories man and the stuff you find. Searching is part the fun! 🤓I plan on hopping from shop to shop too later this year when I return to Japan.
i 1000% relate with the diecast model car stuff man! Always been a fan of 1:43s in particular, whether it'd be Ebbro, HPI, Kyosho, Hi-Story, Ignition Model, and the like. One time i tried to find a Hi-Story Starlet GT model since I really liked that car and literally scoured every Surugaya, BIC, or any other Hobby Shop in Tokyo and Osaka and couldn't find it at all. Sometime down the line a friend did find it in a second hand model store in Fuji Speedway, so it all ended up working out haha. The lengths we go to for these things....
Love seeing the peak at LJ’s EK brings back good vibes and can’t believe those EF9’s are out racing still lol!! Great content keep up the great work!! Yes, that city is the craziest thing lmfao
My challenge lies in collecting only 1:18 and 1:12 scale models, which makes it even more difficult to find sufficient space for displaying and storing all the boxes. I suppose this is just part of the collector's life.
If I could start my life over, I would follow my childhood dream of being a mechanic amd doing what you do. Everything in this video is amazing, but the little City racer was the crown jewel. I started collecting cameras while designing a 35mm analogue camera at deisgn school and the obcession took over so I went from owning 3 to owning 98. Mainly Olympus. I love your work and content. The closest I get to your world is Gran Turismo 7 and making liveries. Greetings from Copenhagen.
It's 2024 and Joey actually admitted he's an Accord guy collecting 5th Gen Racecar model's?! Never thought I'd see the day! It's funny you went through the hunt for those. I actually figured it'd be pretty cumbersome these days. I bought Inno 1:64 versions of the Test Car and JACCS before everything started shooting up in price. Something to keep me motivated to finish my real car since I've acquired all the parts for "the look" and to continue saving to build it to dream spec 😅
That end bit about the collecting getting out of hand is too relatable! I knew I was becoming too interested in starting to collect diecast, and I knew I wouldn't be able to stop myself with just a few. So I decided to go with 1/64 scale. I figured at that size, they'll take up less space, and they'll be far cheaper. And now I'm down the rabbit hole of trying to collect every unique variation of Honda that Hot Wheels has ever made. Integras in each of the different colors out there, EF Civics in all the colors, Preludes, etc... mainlines, premiums, store- and multipack-exclusives, Treasure Hunts... And then of course there are other brands that make Hondas on the same scale, and I'm wanting _some_ of those, too, but Hot Wheels is the only brand under which I'm going after _every_ Honda.
16:26 its cool its a midnightclub car i hope it is, because even in america alot of people run knock off stickers, you can make your own very easily as you can find the font they used online. the center taillight is a gembella/ porsche reference.
Im a big siecast collectoe myself. I mainly stick to 1:64 these days due to space and packaging. Inno64 and mini gt make some great honda models including a few NGR civics. Im actually currently selling a bunch of that ebbro superGT 1:43 stuff
I collect 1:43 Porsches and it's a slippery slope. Before that I was buying hot wheels and other 1:64 scale diecast and the level of detail makes me want to throw away every 1:64 scale thing I own.
I know that world all too well.. Once you start buying models and you start appreciating them it's very, very difficult to stop. I am going to Osaka in May with my family. I've never been Japan before. How do I find information about any car stuff happening in Osaka?
I know it's the Japan way, but man those bolt together cages terrify me. Cool diecast pickups too, Ebbro has made a few plastic kits too, hoping to get my hands on some eventually.
Love collection Also you need to get the accord mugen jtcc test car. My buddy in Thailand has built the rep car that pretty close to 1:1. Also did some track days in it. Let me know you want to do a story on it.
oh god.. that model car thing is exactly my problem as well.. i have to limit myself to 2 a month or else i can not afford the real car stuff anymore 😅😂
Joey: Can you find a cardboard box large enough to pack the Ebbro model cars and shipped them to your home in California? Can you use Japan Post, Fed Ex or UPS for shipping?
Those accords or the ferio civic sedans, those are teh sex. That skyline is tits dude, no livery, sic af. My thing is hotwheels, all the jdm imports, Hondas in general, or anything that strikes my fancy. I have 350 plus, this round.
20:54 and then they will be like what do you mean it looks like china in japan? and ill be like, it just looks poor and old and tired. idk. its not like im trying to offend you. anyways this is the last time i go to a honda fan page, lmao. '' YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU FIND'' > entire video is honda xD
It's always a good day when the chronicles, 1320video and larry chen uploads new videos😎🥳😎😎
Who doesn’t love a snowballing obsession and central circuit filled with vtec. What a treat.
😅😅

Thank you! I’m glad you appreciate the craft!
your videos are really dope bro super chill and great transitions
Man i just play this videos while im working on my car or cleaning around, definitely a dream to be able to witness whats happening in japan !!
@11:40 @13:26 Those Ikeya Formula upper control arms are popular among S2000 track enthusiasts Japan. Top notch suspension pieces, indeed!
Great video, I always love when you visit Central Circuit. The little otaku explanation at the end had me smiling.
Love the stories man and the stuff you find. Searching is part the fun! 🤓I plan on hopping from shop to shop too later this year when I return to Japan.
this was the first year away from Japan after 10 years
But I still want to come back when see your videos
Gotta catch em all Joey
great collection there, it's not always about the items collected but the journey to get them
Dayum super nice line up let's Gooo!!💯🤙
😮 oh wow, so many awesome cars! Thanks for sharing 👍🏼👍🏼

My man jumped into the diecast world head first! Love it!!
Love your content Joey keep it up. ❤

Loved the video, hope to visit the japan car scene one day!
Happy birthday Yasu 🎉👏👏👏

Thanks!
The thrill of hunting collectibles down 😁
Great video my guy!
Thank you!
That city is super cool!
Love it, been collecting jctc and super gr for many yrs and the details are next level.great conversation pcs. Ebbro is just the beginning hahaha
Haha it's okay I'm just gonna stick with the Ebbro stuff now
Man, I feel you on the diecast collection. I wouldn’t be able to stop either.
Perfect timing…just warmed up some homemade shoyu pork ramen…thanks for the 🇯🇵 vibes Joey.
Enjoy!
That s2k with a full toda catalog 😮💨
You went on a deep dive with the model cars!! I would've done the same if I were out there too.
It's too much fun man haha. i don't even know what to do with them when I get back!
It's 2024 and Joey actually admitted he's an Accord guy collecting 5th Gen Racecar model's?! Never thought I'd see the day!

I started collecting the die cast also, now I just can't stop buying and looking also!
That Temple Racing eg is awesome
I love the 1/43 I never see Honda ‘s but the hpi 1/43 are super nice resin models !
There definitely aren't too many Hondas other than the NSXs
Life so hard, when you start collectiong Ebbro's... LOL!
i love when things are filmed with a normal camera revealing that their not all its cracked up to be.

The 1/64 stuff is just a bit too small for me haha but I get it, some of the Ignition model stuff is very detailed.
Awesome cars. The blue city never see that. ✌🏻🇳🇱
Awesome cars!!❤❤❤❤
Oh yes, it is a good day today 🙏
I'm with myself most of the time also 👌
16:26 its cool its a midnightclub car i hope it is, because even in america alot of people run knock off stickers, you can make your own very easily as you can find the font they used online.
the center taillight is a gembella/ porsche reference.
@16:28 is that Honda City a real Mid Night car?!
If I was Japanese, I don't think there is a chance in hell I'd live in America.

Thank man
Thank you joey for another banger! 🙏 hey atleast collecting die-cast cars aint as bad. 😂 There are other far worst problems out there.
lol i know how you feel about the diecast cars lol....its an addiction!! going bak in march gotta get more :)
Don‘t worry. I think most of us have an obsession with collecting model cars lmao
That lip on the Rhytm EF9. Is it an old J's racing lip perhaps? It's by far the best looking lip for EF9s but they're impossible to find it seems.
The ends don’t look like old Js though, I couldn’t figure it out…
@@THECHRONICLESI want to know lmao. You only really see them on cars in Japan. I don't think they're made anymore .. :P
The lip is from what I have gathered, a US Racing lip! :)@@THECHRONICLES
@noelnicklasson6997 oh yeah that sounds about right
Lmao the last portion of the video is too real. Too relatable
😅
I collect 1:43 Porsches and it's a slippery slope. Before that I was buying hot wheels and other 1:64 scale diecast and the level of detail makes me want to throw away every 1:64 scale thing I own.
It's most certainly a slippery slope

I very much have the same problem. Right now it’s watches for me..
LOL. I had the same problem with the INNO64 and JTCC Civics.
IT’S LUNCH TIME 🔥
Ahahaha same
Im in Osaka now and in Japan for another 12 days, please let me know where I can go catch some races or car shows nearby. Id really appreciate it bro!
Why the food moving
Bonito flakes curl up when they're heated man lol
what is the sticker called on the rear window of the EF? 23:31
Did you find #33? 😅
Surprised you stick to the 1:43 Racecars and not the 1:64 inno Kanjo Civics lol
I don't need the Inno Civics I see them all the time in real life lol
What kit is that on the fd2 at 7:50 ? Beautiful
I wonder why they don’t race with coupes…that ek put its wing way back
Because hatchbacks are better haha
Ebbro just i like hotwheels. I collect them and after some years, those items prices would rise up..esp JDM cars. Just do it as part of your hobby.
this is why i dont wanna get into diecast cause i will spiral down the rabbit hole just like you 🤣
Love collection Also you need to get the accord mugen jtcc test car. My buddy in Thailand has built the rep car that pretty close to 1:1. Also did some track days in it. Let me know you want to do a story on it.
That's from a different brand than the one I collect.
Does anyone know what wide body kits are on those eks? 25:30
Brilliant video! I always love the ones from Central Circuit.
I’m curious, is Yasu’s birthday the 23rd then? That would be the same as mine.
Nah it’s on the 12th or something
need that blue honda city modded into every game but especially Cyberpunk2077 cuz it would fit in so nice
Soichiro would be proud 🥲
oh god.. that model car thing is exactly my problem as well.. i have to limit myself to 2 a month or else i can not afford the real car stuff anymore 😅😂
Hahaha great video as always!! I’m headed to Japan in June and I also have a collection issue. Which stores did you go to find these models??
Joey: Can you find a cardboard box large enough to pack the Ebbro model cars and shipped them to your home in California? Can you use Japan Post, Fed Ex or UPS for shipping?
I'll just bring them back in a suitcase. It's too risky.
@@THECHRONICLES Ok. Nice collection of Ebbro model cars.
Yazuuuuuuuuuuuuu lol happy born day my bro
Do a lot of these race cars run staggered fitment ? I’m about to buy some spoon wheels but was thinking of doing 8” up front and 6.5” rear
I would say it's about 50/50. Some use front staggered set-ups and some stick with the traditional set-up.
@@THECHRONICLES do you happen to know what setup the spoon EK runs ? I couldn’t find any definite info.
👍 😎 🤙
They are using Unorthodox light weight crank pulleys?
whats the IG of that white wide body ITR? 😅
@klau99
@@THECHRONICLES thanks joey! looks like he had that body kit since 2019. 👍
Question???????!!!!!Please!! ¡what fenders does that red EF LEGO civic has!? TIA.
OsakaJDM/FIVE MART
Just wondering what parts don’t you like about zerofighter just curious
All the fake wheels and replica parts they produce.
Any plans to bring back the CHRNCLS x ADVAN Hoodies or t shirts?
They were a limited release so it's unlikely. If you live in the USA you can still get some stuff from the Yokohama Tire website.
Those accords or the ferio civic sedans, those are teh sex. That skyline is tits dude, no livery, sic af. My thing is hotwheels, all the jdm imports, Hondas in general, or anything that strikes my fancy. I have 350 plus, this round.
Is there mechanic jobs in japan that will give workers visa to foreigners?
Umm unlikely
So with my profession there is no easy way in to Japan 😔
Yo I'm an Accord guy, too
whats wrong with Zerofighter parts? their catalog looks legit
Diecast addiction is a real thing....thank god its just Hot Wheels for me :-D
S2000 running stock brakes…😮
It's nice and light haha
bros even got spacers on stock axels 15:46
👑🏁
14:56 that honda is china sweatshop quality D:
did you even get paid for this film work?
Is like British people back in the 80s from Sam Oates bideford and demi the dog
20:54 and then they will be like what do you mean it looks like china in japan? and ill be like, it just looks poor and old and tired.
idk. its not like im trying to offend you. anyways this is the last time i go to a honda fan page, lmao.
