But perhaps it was due to injuries that Valby couldn't run her best. BUT now, Valby is in a league of her own, setting multiple records that Tuohy could only dream of...

Taylor is great competition she actually beat tuohy and holds some records stayed with Parker until she decide to kick drop and accelerate the last couple loops faster esch time.
Its hard to beat a record being made.
Tuohy would not have Been.much faster especially if she is really injuried as she has been.dropoed way in the back by Parker as well in their last two races
Its sort of reverse now when parker was injured Tuohy had no real competition.
And valby was actually leading Tuohy in races until the very end losing by a few seconds while running injured against Tuohy.
When she came back from injury Tuohy could not stay anywhere close to her.
Because valby can hold her lead outside only slowing slightly at the end.
Inside she Is a true champion getting actually faster at the end of the race and now has a pretty good late kick.
Still not class leading kick but she is getting much better there as that was her former weakness.

But tuohy pulled out of the 5000.
I do think tuohy may have injured her self in the 1500
But right after in regionals she ran great and ran great in the cc finals, she just lost with possible sickness.
Parker was supposedly injured in some of those older races without excuses or complaining much, it happens and its part of racing unfortunately...
Parker was injured as well and and at nuttycomb had tape and All on the leg or foot..
I think any race tuohy has a record in that parker runs will be broken except for shorter races like the 1500 and mile, until Parker further develops her kick.
Parker set out indoor because of real injury.
No one said tuohy was injured at first they just said she was sick..who knows.?
      Both are GREAT#
I do think because parker is way taller and has a longer stride smaller head and torso to support and was a swimmer for tears greater stamina that she has a much higher improvement potential before she peaks assuming her weaker ankles and feat stay injury free her weakness is a late kick and slowing down at the end of a race after leading, which she appears to be working hard on.
I would love her to try the mile and 1500 not to win but to develop a much better kick because in the pros its nit do much about records they actually use strategy slow down a race And who had the best position timing and kick can actually beat faster runners in a race.
Other than that training on high attitude with Ethiopians and kenyans learning their running culture and breathing techniques and diet hydration can help a lot.
They are the best for a reason.

      @icarus8471 10 месяцев назад +1

@@Tigerex966-No. Tuohy beat Valby at Regionals in the 5000m about an hour after winning the 1500m. At Nuttycombe Tuohy came back earlier than they planned bc she wanted to run with her team, but she had started training later due to the length of the prior season. (The plan was to first run at ACCs). We never got to see a peaked Tuohy at Nationals due to illness, and it is worth recalling that 15:03 after she had started to wear down is in the ballpark, and if Valby could improve, no reason Tuohy could not.
Valby also shows the classic signs of doping. These are (1) the unusual ability to quickly regain peak fitness after injury (see 2022 and 2023) which even her competitors have noticed and discussed where all other college athletes take time to regain form; (2) never showing any signs of fatigue after repeated hard efforts, a classic doping tell; and (3) a sudden, major improvement in form. Sorry but it is suspect as hell and her interviews do not lend credence to her performances.

The leader could cramp up faint trip or quit at anytime, this has happened in rare cased, so its ain't over till its over.

Whatever you say about Parker goes 5 times more for tuohy.
She's been winning everything since before high school setting every record the most hyped racer ever only loses when injured has a muscular frame often comes from behind gets sick when ever she loses stops racing when she loses never says what the injury is.
If there is any one ever in the history of middle distance track and cross country that has been doping for decades all the evidence points to tuohy before anyone else by far.
      Even you cannot deny that.
So by that same token of judgement without true evidence, if Parker is doing it its way way wAy less than tuohy over the decades since grade school.
Just look at their records winning streaks how fresh they are at the end of a race kicking coming from behind to win and how much money they have gotten from sponsors and how few people criticize them.
You can look up Any female distance racer or even put valby in the search and you get tuohy as a result.
Valby still has not beaten tuohy 3000 mile 1500 and a ton of tuohy records and when not injured she has the perfect distance runners body, long legs small upper body and head type to do it.
