Useless
Guys how to I charge these batteries after they died
This is handy, specially for tradesmen or work places that don't have power. I can see this being very handy for me
Is it worth draining two batteries when you don't have anywhere to charge them tho?
@@iplayzthegames6968what are you microwaving for 35 minutes?
@@calebbeminio2345 ong 😭 you at max need to use up 1 battery and the other is for back up
£700 quid though 😅
You might want to look into eaze lunch boxes ,you charge them at your house and set up the time to warm up your food! saving for one currently
Good job Makita paving the way, though i am a milwaukee person hoping Milwaukee makes one
Same here
Straight to the point. I appreciate that!!
I need a makita airfryer.
Microwave plus the 40v batteries price will be some stupid money, I'll just buy an ecoflow along with a regular microwave
That's fair enough mate. It's not for everyone, but the technology is still pretty impressive! - Dan
Great my friend, greetings from the Callao Perú
Thank you Christian! - Dan
Wish house microwaves could be like this, simple.....
Gawd damn ace, hope it's less than £400! Considering batteries are several hundred to power it'
Basing it on the Japan website they have it up for a price of 110000 yen which is approximately £670. I'd imagine with tax and everything it would be roughly around £800 to £900 but that's a very very wild guesstimate
We're taking a wager around the office on the price. Winner gets a Rustlers burger! 😂 - Dan
That's for the bare units too, no batteries or charger
The only Makita product I want and they don’t sell it in America
American's don't deserve it until Americans get better rail infrastructure.
@@shin-ishikiri-nolooks like we’re never getting that microwave then lol 😂
damn thats very useful anywhere you go you have to eat and you want your food always hot
Yeah! This is a gamechanger for a lot of people. - Dan
When's this coming to NZ I want 1 even tho I got no batterys might ass use a battery adapter and run it on big DeWalt battery 😂🤣🤔
500 watt microwave? Dropping to 350? Be about 8 mins to do a cup of soup?
Remarkable, to see stuff like this being run off batteries. Still hard to beat fuels for heating, but we're getting there.
It is a really impressive bit of kit! - Dan
Guys how to I charge these batteries after they died
I’m definitely selling all my 18v and getting 40v once this is available
It’s 12 grand 😂
@@stephenbrown4131 Na mate, like we've said in a few places, the price on our website isn't accurate - we've just had to set a price so that all of the info can go up on our website! - Dan
You will need electricity to charge the batteries so whats the point in having it in an rv? Unless theres no room for a normal microwave
Vanlife here! Not owned Makita since my old work van got robbed. Am I right that the 40v batteries can only be charged from mains?
I've got an inverter for 240v, but does anyone know if there's an alternative for charging?
To our knowledge, you can only charge Makita 40V from mains at the moment. - Dan
@@its cheers man, thanks for that👍
@Mevi time for a bigger Battery and better solar panels
I'd use a £30 mains power microwave and mains power bank
Why bother with any battery powered tools then ?
@@Dogrockdogcause I need to carry them around constantly unlike a microwave
Surely you could just use your generator if on a site with no mains power? Then 800watt microwave for hot fast food? Must be power somewhere as otherwise how can you legally have your hot hand wash?
If you are out in a van all day. Grab a McDonalds or Greggs on the go?
I’m in the desert a lot. Certainly don’t have room in my car for a generator. No maccas out here.
Will there be 18v version?
Not that we're aware of - you might struggle to power something like this with an 18V battery. - Dan
🙏✝️🙏amen🙏✝️🙏
Yeah u can't get it on ur site

1200 bucks and your lunch is still cold and now all your batteries are dead too 😂 propane stove way cheaper more portable and more useful. Or just get on of those rechargeable lunch warmers lol. This is the most expensive way to not heat your lunch by far.
Abit expensive 😮
Liket ❤
I’ll just take soup to wor in a flask, it’s a hell of a lot cheaper.
That's fair enough mate! It's not for everyone, but it is cool to see regardless! - Dan
But not for 1k...
Yeah nar not for that price
We don't have price info yet but we'll release info as soon as we get it! - Dan
This guy is to excited for a microwave, MAKITA needs new cordless nailer and a cordless table saw not a microwave
Maybe I'm so excited because I saw other tools that Makita are releasing soon... - Dan
I saw a cordless nailer on Facebook marketplace a few minutes ago.
What a stupid thing to buy.. stupidly overpriced and what a joke of its 500w to 350w power😂
This bish cost a leg
Yeah thanks porta tool had this on displayed and at least we now know who wasted my journey and moaned and WINGED to makita about them getting it first because you want to saturate the market instead of helping a decent helpful small company grow. Find this guy so irritating 😂
Hi Jason, like we've said a couple of times now, this was filmed a week or so before Portatools started talking about it.
This was a part of a preplanned trip to Makita - which we spent time and money to coordinate. We happened to be there when one arrived at their office - to which we then asked if we could film some content on it to generate hype. We then had to sign an NDA with Makita’s Japan Head Office not to release the content. We then had to get their permission to post it once more info was released.
I'm not sure how you think we're saturating the market just by posting content about the product. We aren't even selling it yet - and neither are Portatools. - Dan
