Cow: "I must save my people by convincing the humans to eat more relatives of the penguins that saved me. That will surely show my grattitude to them."
Frozen in a thunder storm, conscious and encased in a block of ice, found and freed in the arctic, involves penguns, a battle on a boat...are we sure this isn't just some animal retelling of Avatar: The Legend of Aang?
Pio Nepomuceno It's actually Avatar: The Last Airbender. Some people retroactively call it The Legend of Aang to fit with Avatar: The Legend of Korra, but the first series was more focused on the impact of Aang's entire people being killed because of what he was and what it meant for the war that was taking place.
Where I live it was released under both titles, or at least for the DVD release. It switches between the two, and in some cases the box says "Legend of Aang" while the menus and episodes say "The Last Airbender".
I can't wait until we get to the issue that goes deeper into Shoto Cowdoroki's backstory, where we learn they have control over fire as well as ice, but refuse to use fire out of rebellion for their father Brazen Bull, and his attempts to sire a cow whose steaks always come out perfectly cooked.
There actually is a Military Discipline cow from the same promotion that started the other cow heroes. His name is Leatherneck, doesn't have any powers but gets the job done anyway with military intelligence. There is also a Kowrate.
Cows: MOO! Mr Burns: Smithers, are they mooing me? Smithers: Um, no. They're saying "Moo-urns! Moo-urns!" Mr Burns: Are you saying "Moo" or "Moo-urns"? Cows: MOOOOO! Curds Mooman: I was saying "Moo-urns".
Yeah the cows telling people to eat another animal (especially this comic where the hero was literally raised by birds) doesn't really work, but at least these are creatively weird.
You're more concerned about where the penguins got the suit? I want to know why would they have a cow suit that has boots with space for human shaped feet, and yet she can ware them with no difficulties or inconveniences whatsoever.
Yay! Another Cow Hero comic! I'm the guy who sent you the Speed Steer comic in the first place(though I can't remember if there were other comics in that stack), and I'm glad you also see these for the so-bad-it's-good goofy fun that they are! I own nearly the whole collection, and each one is a delight to read. Can't wait until you get to the team-ups!
I'm not sure if Cartoon Network made any Cow and Chicken comics, but I do recall Cartoon Network Magazine having a few Cow and Chicken stories in the comics pages. Speaking of that show Cow had a superhero alter-ego called Super-Cow (who spoke Spanish, but spoke English in the Spanish version) and one episode had the Red Guy trying to find out who Super-Cow was as well as an episode where it was revealed that the source of Supercow's power was her blanket.
I remember these comics just today and this was my favorite of all the Super Hero Cow Comics because of how emotional it was for me as a 10 year old. Now looking back on it, it's weird and silly and I know that but I just couldn't help loving this cute simple story about a cow that was raised by penguins after experiencing hardship in her life. It's just a fun time! :')
Oh Dear Cod!! They're gonna kill all the humans and eat their Livers!! Either that or send 'em on a slow boat to a person named China. I don't really know for 100% what penguins do to the humans they don't like. I work for Penguins myself. Also; yes. I am going to enjoy the ice-cold sushi I'm going to have for breakfast! ^^
4:36 - Jiminy jillikers! Watching a cow fall off a boat and go overboard DOES (ironically, I can't unhear the cartoonish mooing while it happens) sound like fun!
I was startled at first by how short this episode was -- and then I realized it was a very silly advert comic for a chicken joint and understood a bit better. Always glad to see the "now they're radioactive! That can't be good" joke come back. XD And yeah, for what it is, it's a very serviceable story -- I actually wouldn't mind seeing the human AU you suggested in action. Certainly be more poignant than "moo."
Fun fact- when I was but a bab, still in elementary school, and obsessed with paleobiology, a devoted player of EVO: The Search For Eden and constant rewatcher of Walking With Monsters, yet oblivious to western comics (I watched the Krypto cartoon, though), I somehow independently created Captain Amphibian, who was shockingly similar to Captain America for someone who nothing of the latter. Captain Amphibian was a very OP Amphibian- in EVO, you can give your Amphibian something like wings, and horns, and she had both. She was frozen in ice, but was eventually awakened by global warming around the same time a revolutionary technology that could divide carbon dioxide into carbon and oxygen was discovered- and the increased oxygen in the air allowed Arthropods to grow to the size they were during the Carboniferous, and they began to attack us vertebrates, and then Captain Amphibian and the Ichthyostega Gang fought against the evil arthropods! It was dumb. Really, really dumb. But I thought it was the greatest fucking idea anyone had ever had at the time.
In the dark age rendition of Bovine Heroes, the penguin friends of Cold Cuts end up as a key part of TV-Dinners - all because of her mission to make people "Eat more Chiken". Depression and a road to redemption begins, in which she turns against cow-kind and helps the birds free their fellow flocks from their Bisen Overlords.
You know... if Cows or animals in general in the cow super hero universe are intelligent, then that universe starts to sound a bit like the Oddworld universe, though more lighthearted and cartoony.
Lewis Lovhaug, have you ever thought about doing an "Atop the Fourth Wall Bingo" at your next Live show? Every time you use one of your running jokes or tropes, they cross off one space.
Why am I craving chick fil a all a sudden? Also ironic that your doing this considering I told my husband last night stealing one of the chick fil a billboard cows is on my bucket list.
simple they gotten it from the cow superhero suit store which there located in any part of the world so if a cow gotten super powers they can get a suit just like that
Hey could you review Spiderman Reign. It's a comic from Marvel that is basically a spiderman version of Frank Millers The Dark Knight Returns. But it features Mary Jane being killed by Radioactive Sperm from Peter. But the best part is that in this continuity, One More Day didn't happen Also I can't do what you called a "patreon sponsored review" for this comic since I don't have patreon
This reminded me of Last Summer when I went to Lancaster County and went to a supermarket called Oregon Pike Farms and they had singing electronic cow that sang Let It Go
*The following is the opinion of a Salty SEAGULL named EARL who just shows up in my posts whenever he feels like it! Decided to ask him where those penguins got COLD CUTs special suit!* [EARL the Salty SEAGULL:] "Not many people know this, but those Penguins had a prophet who predicted the coming of a creature frozen in ice that gains cryonesis, so they raided local abandoned research stations to acquire materials with which to create a special suit for this great hero with the power to create instant snowman & give penguins fancy top hats! Also, there are more Alfred than Robin! Don't worry about THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD FISH. It was hunted down by a team of SEAGULLs trained by ACOPETO to hunt down and incinerate that invasive alien species with beak mounted flamethrowers!"
RocaDeearCenjar back in kickassia joe suggest the should take over of a chick fillet since he is a fan of the franchise and he also did a big rant of the fact of chick fillet do not open on sundays...seriously
I only ate at a Chik-Fil-A ONCE, and it was because I had a $10 gift card for Christmas. I begrudgingly used it just so I can get rid of it, because Chik-Fil-A was founded by anit-gay bastards. 3:34- My thoughts exactly. 3:37- (Singing) If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Sea Cow would be lost. The Sea Cow would be lost. I just watched the Speed Steer review before this, and you've done the "Don't you know anything about science?" and "Now it's radioactive" jokes in this review, too. 7:45- Yeah. Outside of the Alfred subplot, that shot of Mr. Freeze crying a tear is one of the few GOOD things about Batman & Robin. Awesome job on the Star Trek II joke. 11:20- Sounds totally Kleenex, Linkara. SEWING MACHINE!
Do you plan to finish Trouble this year? Maybe knocking it out once and for all, by reviewing #5 & #6 together? ...or, would that be too much? Like, reviewing more than one issue of Marville at a time?
Congrats Linkara, a super powered cow that is centered cold and ice and you didn't make ONE Frozen joke. It would been so easy to do that, but you didn't kudos.
Cold Cut: "Moo"
Cow: "I must save my people by convincing the humans to eat more relatives of the penguins that saved me. That will surely show my grattitude to them."
She migh consider penguins and chickens different species though
Was looking for this comic... I assumed chickens are not sentient in this universe... But if penguins are...

Cold Cuts is going to be in for a shock when she learns that the Chickens are honored blood brothers of the Penguins.
...Is that a reference to Surf's Up? It's been a while since I've seen that film; I don't remember most of the lines.
George Andrews It wasn't supposed to be... But it is now.
The running joke of "Moo" gets more of a laugh out of me than it probably should. lol
They stole that costume from Frozone. Why do you think he's always looking for his super suit?
next up: cold cuts 2. in which cold cuts goes on a rampage after finding out frozone killed those penguins in rage.

Pio Nepomuceno
Hmm.
Now that you mention it Aang did have ice breath.
Sure he never use's it but still
Even before Korra came along, some regions that aired the show, including the region where I'm from, already had aired it as Legend of Aang.
Nefera Cronia im pretty sure it was called "Legend of Aang" in a few places since "Bender" is UK slang for gay people, if i remember correctly
Where I live it was released under both titles, or at least for the DVD release. It switches between the two, and in some cases the box says "Legend of Aang" while the menus and episodes say "The Last Airbender".

There actually is a Military Discipline cow from the same promotion that started the other cow heroes. His name is Leatherneck, doesn't have any powers but gets the job done anyway with military intelligence. There is also a Kowrate.
I laughed far longer then I should have at this pun.
Cows: MOO!
Mr Burns: Smithers, are they mooing me?
Smithers: Um, no. They're saying "Moo-urns! Moo-urns!"
Mr Burns: Are you saying "Moo" or "Moo-urns"?
Cows: MOOOOO!
Curds Mooman: I was saying "Moo-urns".

I didn't even know this comic was a thing so I had no idea if it actually ran/will run that long.
Or Man-Eating Cow
"In reality, that's all he can say; it's just pure coincidence that it's actually happening."
Okay, that one just tickles my absurd sense of humor.
Yeah the cows telling people to eat another animal (especially this comic where the hero was literally raised by birds) doesn't really work, but at least these are creatively weird.
There needs to be more Penguin superheroes! Not just weirdos in Penguin-themed costumes, but actual Penguins with superpowers and costumes!
You're more concerned about where the penguins got the suit? I want to know why would they have a cow suit that has boots with space for human shaped feet, and yet she can ware them with no difficulties or inconveniences whatsoever.
MrNelg19 don’t you know anything about penguins
Yay! Another Cow Hero comic! They're the killer penguins from Justice League Antarctica.
penguins from Madagascar
Damnnit. i wanted to say that lol
Oh Dear Cod!! They're gonna kill all the humans and eat their Livers!! Either that or send 'em on a slow boat to a person named China. I don't really know for 100% what penguins do to the humans they don't like. I work for Penguins myself.

Wow, a Demo Reel reference? I know it's not that big of a deal, I just didn't really expect it.
If she really wanted to help the Penguins, she'd help them get a playoff win every once in a while
4:36 - Jiminy jillikers! Watching a cow fall off a boat and go overboard DOES (ironically, I can't unhear the cartoonish mooing while it happens) sound like fun!

Just before 10 minutes. Let me repeat, but alter emphasis: "Cold Cuts is STEER-ing the ship."
Admittedly, that misgenders Cold Cuts since she was consistently identified as a female throughout the comic. But this deserve a cow pun.
I WAS FROZEN TODAY!
Anime Panda Too bad he didn’t. :(
Finally some super-hero representation for me!

Perfect News Radio reference. Loved that show.
I should've known that wasn't gonna be a one-off. But man this was far much enjoyable and over the top with its silliness.
The other guy in the thumbnail looks like Angry Joe
It is, a reference to a video he made years ago about Chick-Fil-A being closed on Sunday.
TheHeroOfTomorrow sure that makes sense
TheHeroOfTomorrow I was wondering why AJ was on the Speed Steer title card back in the day. I must seek this video out! *[Runs off]*
Am I the only one who wants linkara to do a crossover with angry joe?
I thought the exact same thing. It'd be appropriate. Joe has talked about Chic-Fil-A *a lot*
If they do not form the Cow justice league, I will be severely disappointed.
Snacker6 the Justeers League of America
Oh my gosh. Captain Amoorica had me burst out laughing.
I laughed way too much at this episode. Thanks for that.
Ok, I'm thrilled to see this follow-up to one of the silliest comics you've ever reviewed. But...NO COWBORG?! Dude!
WOOO! Amazing Cow Heroes time again! Although I was expecting Cow-Borg myself.
Now it’s radioactive that can’t be good
The Pet Avengers should recruit her
That stinger reminded me of how much I miss Phil Hartman. That man had the best comedic timing.
You know... if Cows or animals in general in the cow super hero universe are intelligent, then that universe starts to sound a bit like the Oddworld universe, though more lighthearted and cartoony.
We need Linkara to review the rest of these comics. I'm still waiting for him to do reviews of Decibell and Cowborg.
Amazing Cow Heroes vs the Thing would be the Freddy vs Jason for both franchises
YES YES YES YES YES, another cow hero comic!!!!
It turns out that Cold Cuts has Deadpool's fourth-wall perception, she just doesn't flaunt it as much. The "Thanks" was for the audience.
Was anyone else shocked that in a Chickfilet comic they had a character say thank you and they were not answered with my pleasure.
Lightning strikes with the sound effect "zzzt" made me laugh
One day angry joe will get his chicken sandwich
I’m craving Chick Fil A now. The comic is working!
8:32 Considering he voiced a cow on Family Guy the Ricardo Montalban clip is apt.
🎶let it moo let it moooooooo🎵
finally get to see one of his videos on my birthday and a weird comic, which is amazing
This comic does bring up a very good question: "Do cows swim?"
It's amazing when a goofy comic about a cow with ice powers is "ok".
"Captain Amoorica". Damn, Linkara.
I remember reading these as a kid 😂😂 they were so bad it’s good
Moo!
Watch your mouth!
This cows clearly have a "Meta Bovine" gene
Because poor literacy is MOOOOOOOOO
simple they gotten it from the cow superhero suit store which there located in any part of the world so if a cow gotten super powers they can get a suit just like that
Cold Cuts for Kingdom Hearts 3 confirmed!
Ironically, last Saturday I had Chik-Fil-A for lunch.
How is that ironic?

Looks like he wont make it this year
The episode just started and there's a News Radio reference! Yes!
I can't believe there's a comic about Shoto Todoroki's mom!
News Radio clips good one .

EEEEEEEE a 2099 follow up! I love that goofy cyberworld aesthetic it has
Why do the title cards for these kinds of reviews have angry Joe on them? Is he a Well known Connoisseur of beef?
RocaDeearCenjar it’s explained in speed steer
maybe his dad is a butcher or farmer
way back in the day Joe did an angry rant on Chick fillet not being open on sunday
RocaDeearCenjar back in kickassia joe suggest the should take over of a chick fillet since he is a fan of the franchise and he also did a big rant of the fact of chick fillet do not open on sundays...seriously
Joel Reichenbach
That seems petty and unnecessarily childish...... Sadly i can easily imagine him doing this.
That penguin is so cute.
I only ate at a Chik-Fil-A ONCE, and it was because I had a $10 gift card for Christmas. I begrudgingly used it just so I can get rid of it, because Chik-Fil-A was founded by anit-gay bastards.

3:37- (Singing) If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Sea Cow would be lost. The Sea Cow would be lost.

7:45- Yeah. Outside of the Alfred subplot, that shot of Mr. Freeze crying a tear is one of the few GOOD things about Batman & Robin.
Awesome job on the Star Trek II joke.
11:20- Sounds totally Kleenex, Linkara. SEWING MACHINE!
6:44 I think a better question is "Where'd they purchase that?"
The prophecy is one thing. I want to know about the prophet. What else did that penguin foresee?
A reference to Demo Reel? I did not expect that AT ALL.
the long-awaited tick prequel is finally here i guess
1:12 does Times Square count?
Damn, Lewis. No reference to Elsa from Frozen? There was a perfect opportunity
10:06 wouldn’t home just be another beef ranch?
Why is angry Joe in the thumbnail?
we need a movie of these cow heroes ! XD

Well to be fair he has said in side videos that he's not too big into Disney anyway. Now on the other hand, if Viga was making this review...
3:55 - why is Captain Birdseye here transporting cows? His business is in fish, not beef.
😜
This comic series is pure, concentrated WUT.
