When actors, journalists, newscasters, etc. went back to work just about every camera recording has a filter. How vain. The camera on my phone does it automatically when you take a selfie, the filter doesn't turn off. The pictures end up making everyone look flawless. No one is flawless! Really wish more people realized how much wearing sunscreen when you’re young makes a difference when you’re older. My mom had skin cancer when I was a teen so after that I made it a point to avoided tanning beds and wore sunscreen. I’m pushing 40 and look younger than my peers who thought they needed to have a tan. So much of skin care is a scam or makes things worse. I actually had issues with cystic adult acne for awhile and spent so much money trying to fix it. I actually ended up finding out it was being caused by my diet (apparently I can’t eat soy). I wish I could get all that money back.

I think it's good genes as well though, everyone in my immediate family looks way younger.

There are several ingredients that you should definitely be using to maintain good skin. Don't bother with fancy brand names. Look at the ingredients!
Hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to moisturize and hydrate.
Salicylic acid to keep pores clean and exfoliate.
Glycolic acid peels for deeper, weekly exfoliation.
Vitamin C to give your skin a healthy glow.
Retinol and related products to slow or reverse aging.
SPF 30 on all exposed skin.
For the rest of the body, usually any old moisturizer should do the job!

Skin… like your kidneys, are organs that have functions. And it’s been functioning without all these ingredients for thousands of years.
Also, my kidneys don’t have to look a particular way to do it’s job, but it is best to be mindful of my lifestyle, like what I choose to eat and drink, to aid in its functioning.
So… what exactly is good skin?
Who came up with this definition?
Why is it suddenly a requirement to have it?

Only thing not mention that does have a effect on skin turn over is Retinoic acid and only the prescription cream such as Tretinoin. In the future they will be a treatment that regresses your own stem cells to a earlier state which should actually work but they most likely will not be available for 10 years.

Use a clearer and don’t put alcohol on your face! Everyone now says she has the best skin they’ve ever seen… People constantly mistake her for being in her 30s. That Advice came after she burned her skin by placing so many skin care products on her face. It actually burned away the natural oils on her face. These practices haven’t changed and neither has the actual Advice. Proper skin care doesn’t require ultra revitalizing glob number 82 at $782 an ounce. Cold cream can cost cents on the dollar… so does soap.
