  • This is the story I wasn't comfortable sharing but after thinking about it I decided to talk openly about how I was nearly homeless 1 year ago.
I spiralled down so much that I got to a point where I had no money, no food, no job and no life. I needed to survive.
This is a Free Mindset guide I wrote during that very time:

Start each day by saying what you are grateful for and you will be placing yourself in a positive mood. Keep moving forward.

    Hi Benjamin.
I'm kinda watching your content in reverse order 😂.
You see, when I heard you touching upon friend loss, I just felt deep in my gut there is a story to that guy.
The feature a man can't fake. It's either there or nowhere near as close.
Hardship takes its toll, and I could tell just by listening to your insight U've been through a lot.
Let me make this one clear. It's awesome you're out, roared back to life with the stamina and so thoughtful. It takes a great man to learn a lesson from their past, history, and grow stronger, avoiding some of that hell again.
But yeah, definitely in today's world of instant gratification, whims and consumptive mode it takes a lot to arise after a nothing-to-eat situation.
Eventually I was not wrong, just found the video afterwards, some kind of confirmation what I read in between the lines.
San Francisco, Dublin for instance are the places you can see on streets how many did not make it. It's tough, heartbreaking and indifferent when you think of all the passers-by not giving a damn.
The only certainty is uncertainty. /Pliny. T. E./
    So humbled by your story.
    Keep safe.
    Li.

Wow, man this is incredible, I have always loved being able to tell stories but this one was definitely a challenge only being a year ago but it felt right to talk about it now given I am far from that position, stick around I have many stories I will be telling that I have not told before 🎉❤

Thank you for your story. Just one question. Why didn't you have any work doing the editing? Were you not looking for it?

Yes and no, I believe at the time I was unsure about reaching out to people beyond existing clients, I had no confidence and I was purely relying on word of mouth. From which got me pretty far without seeking additional work. I simply was not in a clear mind environment, probably due to my bad habits too haha, hope that answers the question :)

@@BenjaminJWhittaker Yes, thank you, and that makes sense. Maybe you weren't actively seeking new business because you didn't like the work. I do that with my own business.

@@bg147 The work I did back then is almost the same work I do now, the difference is the way I spend my time is different, I think partially I also thought all clients were the same but now I realise you can target specific clients that you align better with.

@@BenjaminJWhittaker Oh ok. That makes sense. Who you work for and with makes a huge difference.
