I am so glad I looked at this video. I currently own a 330 xi...never any major problems. I was looking to purchase an X6 but my bmw service advisor actually advised me to go with the X4 because of the many problems the X6 comes with that the warranty won’t cover. He said the X4 has a similar engine to the X3 and service costs are affordable. Thank you for the money you have saved me.

Because it has 3.0 diesel engine, no sunroof with great loking interior made in 2012. So acording to your video, should be least problematic one with lowest cost for common problems. :D

Have a '13 X5 E70 35i with 142,000km. I have no records of maintenance from the previous owner which is hard to gauge what happened or will happen. After having some recalls done at BMW, was told my oil filter housing and oil pan gaskets are leaking. German auto mechanic charging $1.6k for parts and labor, BMW was charging $3k. Also tie rod are corroded and front wheels cannot be aligned until fixed for $850 (within alignment so no need now).

And no it doesn’t have a resonator because it has turbos 🤟🏽 X6 35i xdrive

Valve seals can be replaced inside the engine bay. AGA tools. Not easy lol, but can be done. I have the E70 X5 4.8i. I’ll purchase the E71 with the 6 cylinder. Less issues than the V8 for sure. What I’ve learned from loving the brand is. When purchasing any BMW E70/E71. You must change the front differential, transfer case, transmission fluid , seals, and differential fluid. This is a must. If you can’t do that don’t bother purchasing the vehicle. Most people just want to own a BMW, but do not understand you are the new owner. Protect your investment. I have 124,800 miles on my 2008 X5 sport. It still runs strong.

Apart from the rather rough ride from stiff suspension and run flats it has been very good, slightly heavy on the wrists steering. The brakes are phenomenal and the fuel consumption good for such big car with huge tyres. Original sat nav does not give the full UK postcodes, but head-up display brilliant. When its MOTd the only observation noted is 'No emissions figure given, output too low to record'.

I have a 2009 BMW X635i my current mileage is 110k it’s not a bad vehicle to own, you just have to be ready, and prepared for maintenance issues, but I go long periods of time driving without any issues, I had my water pump replaced, both control arm up front replaced, engine valve cover gasket replaced, I had to get a new Valve cover because the heat destroyed the previous one oil filter housing gasket replace, both cv axel upfront replaced, servotronic module that gives the steering wheel power fail, and replace, and I only use bmw shell oil in the engine, and gasoline only shell vpower I daily drive the vehicle so I do my oil change every 2 months, and overall I still love the vehicle, am not getting rid of it either, very fast, my brother has the 2012 X650i and yes all those problems you mentioned, he has them too, but the X635i is not that bad, problems don’t really occur on a regular basis, but you must definitely have to save up money for issues because they are gonna break, and that’s due to the plastic being used, bmw are criminals, with so much plastic in the engine, the average none bmw driver will not be aware to inspect the engine for brittled plastic parts that needs to be replaced, I had the coolant hose break off on me, pouring coolant into the engine, you have to be mechanically incline to own theses vehicles, parts are not even an issue because FCP euro sells parts with lifetime warranty, just avoid the bmw stealerships they are criminals, never go to any bmw dealership for any repairs out of warranty, these vehicles use a lot of electric, so you most definitely wanna stay on top of the battery power, low energy will trigger off other issues, because the main fuel pump, and water pump it’s all electrical, as long as you stay on top of oil changes, using only one type of gasoline from shell, and watch your battery these vehicles are the best.

BMW parts are made in every factory and every country that's capable of the manufacturing process. Designed to BMW specs, quality control and location would differ and that would be half the reason you have the cost associated with the parts. Companies like Subaru are no better. All their parts are made in Japan, they charge just as much and their cars fail just as often if not more.
