    Assassin's Creed Rogue is an action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Sofia and published by Ubisoft.
    It is the seventh major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, and is set between 2013's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and 2012's Assassin's Creed III with its final mission being the prologue to 2014's Assassin's Creed Unity.
    The plot is set in a fictional history of real-world events and follows the centuries-old struggle between the Assassins, who fight for peace with free will, and the Templars, who desire peace through control.
    The story is set in the mid-18th century during the Seven Years' War, and follows Shay Patrick Cormac, an Assassin-turned-Templar who hunts down former members of his Brotherhood after being betrayed by them.

    I can see where this is going.
    1. Stay your blade from the flesh of the innocent: The Colonial Assassins had inadverently murdered people by toppling Seismic Temples, which were meant to keep the earth stabilized, causing two major earthquakes that hit Portugal and Haiti, the likes never seen before.
    2. Hide from plain sight: The Colonial Assassins recruited criminal gangs to extort civilians, inadvertently exposing themselves from plain sight.
    3. Never Compromise the Brotherhood: The Creed the Colonial Assassins believed in is severely compromised by Achilles' megalomania and disregard for the tenets the Assassins stand for.

    The thing I like about Shay is he wasn't a one dimensional mustache twirling villain. He defected to the Templars because he genuinely thought it was the right thing to do. It broke his heart to have to go against his former allies and friends, and in the end he even persuaded Haytham to spare Achilles. As someone who still mainly sides with the Assassins, this game did a damn good job of making me sympathize with and understand the motivations of a Templar.

Both became assassin's at young ages, both lost their family to the templars and both sought revenge but Ezio didn't kill the man who was (completely) responsible, Rodrigo Borgia but in the sequel it wasnt rodrigo who went back and attacked Ezio's home but his son out of Ego and unlike ezio, Achilles would murder the innocent if it ment killing as many templars as he could...

    Shay just burst in the room yelling at Achilles and stomping his foot like a manchild and jumped into the conclusion that the Assassins knew what would happen without allowing Achilles to explain himself and yet some people here say that the Assassins are the ones who betrayed Shay. Not to mention that Achilles told Shay to be careful with the artifact yet Shay, upon finding the artifact, just picks it up without even considering that there might be trap in there. And yet Shay Cormac here blames the Assassins for his own stupidity and immaturity and joins the Templars, who actually are what Shay thinks of the Assassins. Our hero everyone!

    • @ace9924
      @ace9924 Год назад +21

      And yet achilles in his infinite wisdom didn't think that the Earthquakes weren't related at all. And even after this event he continued to look for more. He even tried to attack shay who was just trying to get rid of the manuscript in a similar way that Ezio tried to get rid of the apple as they both knew that no one, not even the assassins should possess it. Achilles also broke the tenets of the creed which led to the failure of his corrupt brotherhood. Shay was more an assassin than the colonial brotherhood was, even after his conversion to the Templar ideology.

    • @Bmhtsos18
      @Bmhtsos18 Год назад +2

      @@ace9924 Of course Achilles connected the earthquakes with the Precursor items and he did tell Shay to be careful with the artifact. It's not Achilles' fault that Shay didn't consider that there might be a trap in the room where he found the artifact. Shay was rash, reckless and self-righteous. He was so busy blaming the Assassins while being so full of himself. Shay becoming a Templar also makes zero sense, the Templars are exactly what Shay thinks of the Assassins so the logical thing to do would be either going neutral or overthrowing Achilles and getting control of the Colonial Brotherhood to clean it of corruption. Shay reaffirmed his loyalty to the Templats even after he found out what they truly are. And not to mention the murder of Arno Dorian's father right in front of the poor kid. Shay proved himself to be far more corrupt than the entire Colonial Brotherhood.

    • @Bmhtsos18
      @Bmhtsos18 Год назад +2

      @@ace9924 Yes there was a way to be careful, inspect the whole room for possible traps and report back for help. Achilles did make some connection between the artifact and the earthquakes which is why he told Shay to be careful with it. I don't see how was Achilles hungry for the artifacts, what I see is that he wanted to keep the artifacts away from the Templars by any means necessary. I also see Shay being quite self-righteous, quick to blame others but not questioning himself at all.

    • @ace9924
      @ace9924 Год назад +8

      @Δημήτρης Μπάρδας he literally did as he took responsibility for his part in the disaster whereas achillies didn't and wasn't even phased by the deaths in Lisbon at all. Achillies wanted to use the artifacts against the Templar and in his pursuits he was breaking the tenets of the creed whereas shay upheld them more than he did, even as a Templar ironically.
