In older stealth games such as thief and splinter cell, there's a playstyle called "Ghosting" Ghosting is essentially leaving no trace of you ever being there. No guards alerted, not even suspicions and no kills or knockouts. You can take this even a step further and return every non-essential item such as keys in their original places and try to close every door and window after opening to make sure the no one knows how you got in ;) Ghosting is an extremely fun and challenging playstyle that i recommend everyone try some time.
I know we all love the look of the graphics and the parkour! But I also love how alive the city felt because crowds are everywhere and it also made sense to have the ability to hide in these crowds instead of sitting on a bench with two people. xD
I still don't understand how we went from this gameplay to what we have now... We are regressing and it's so painfully obvious. Such a shame this game got stained by the launch state
Part of it was because people started complaining about the formula (even though Unity and Syndicate was a complete rework of the gameplay so i have no idea what they were whining about), gamers reaped what they sowed and now we got this mess
The movement fluidity, the clothing texture, the mechanics to open doors and chests…everything is perfect is this game. Playing Mirage now I am already bored after 10 hours…
me to man, just reinstalled unity. Baghdad setting would've been great for parkour like this such a shame. especially since mirage was supposed to bring it back to its roots. love the fact that fighting is a last option in mirage but there's no parkour todo anything fun with stealth. same boring animations they've. been using for years now

@@farewelljupiterconsidering unity was released 9 years ago the graphics are very good. Only thing that isnt as good are the Facial expressions of the characters. Everything else is quite good. Especially the lighting is way ahead of its time.

Damn, this run is one of the MOST LORE-AUTHENTIC ROLEPLAY. I am just amazed. It does not feel rushed or like the player has memorized gaurd locations and choreographing the kills, he is constantly reading the situation and using all of his tools perfectly to solve the situation LIKE A TRUE ASSASIN SHOULD. And somehow the animations being played are also so varied an on point. Liking this video and saving it to my playlist. Without a doubt, on of the best run I have seen in a while. Fun fact: At 2:24 close your eyes and listen. Yeah, I was too looking away while eating and this played in my ears. I nearly spitted out the bite, like ayo, wtf ? What is on the screen ? 😛
They thought Arno lost potential as an Assassin but we all know his one of the best assassins in that era not high ups like Edward to Altair but a legend of its own. We the players will show how skillful Arno is
It's the player fault that makes arno can't even do his parkour right and they commplain about movement bugs.. STOP PRESSING EVERYTHING ON THE KEYBOARD ALLTOGETHER TO PLAY IT RIGHT PEOPLE :)
Everything about this run is so good. Use of tools, the movement incorporating both tech and the flashy parts of Unity's fluid animations. Truly well made. Though I wish people would use the Beam to Wall Hang transition more in movement. Shit is so fluid and cool to look at that I don't know why people don't talk about it more

God this takes me back, when i first got the game, i was genuinly thinking of refunding it. Even after bug patches, parkour still felt twitchy. That was until something clicked, and i started to autistically learn every type of eject and try to get my parkour as efficient as possible. Thanks for reminding me of this game, im gonnna redownload it now. Ubisoft robbed us of what could've been the a quite good story, best parkour mechanics in an ac game because they wanted it done quicker.
Nah the Ezio trilogy still has the best parkour mechanics. You have perfect control over every single move in every single situation. Unity is the best visually for sure, mechanically it's great when it works, but the controls are still really inconsistent.
I've never even seen these types of jumps know knew this was possible in the series. I skipped black flag, unity, and Rogue but caught Odyssey and Mirage. The one handed elements, spins and wall ejects are completely foreign to me

Parkour was insane, big amount of tools, the stealth/assassination system was so clean, just the game was released too early and people don't like bugs... I miss the older titles sometimes, though I do appreciate the RPG versions more. AC is definitely one of my favorite video game series. It's funny, after playing a few hours of mirage I uninstalled it and reinstalled Unity. Really wish they didn't take such a drastic change in direction with the games, I loved this series even with all it's flaws. Still have fond memories of being a teenager and playing AC2 on my 360.

@@Godspeednihilo the world really feels alive, it has lots of details, the music is masterpiece, the personalization of the character is amazing, the characters are good and you really empathize with most of them, the huge amount of different playstiles in fighting, the possibility of just get a horse in the middle of the night and get lost with the ambience and the music, the map is huge and is not just huge as you can find very detailed things wherever you go, the mission are jun not just going somewhere kill someone and that's it lots of them are curious things, you can raid abbey monasteries etc, you have a settlement which can be improved and it changes visually, you have different horses with great skins, you have the raven which is a good advantage but it is not broken (like this new AC mirage when you can like teleport or something wtf💩), some enemies are powerful and want to hunt you but u can kill em, you can go fishing,hunting, you have not just one map but two, i could tell you more but i think with this is enough to understand why this game is awesome but just doesn't feel like an AC game

Parkour in Unity is insane once you learn the mechanics. Tbh i struggled with it till the very end of my playthrough, but still i enjoyed it to some extent and ofc i enjoy when people doing all those crazy stunts seemingly effourtlessly

I can bet money that these are the same people who criticized this game heavily when it first came out. And for everyone who's wondering, I saw this game as being one of the best games ever made by Ubisoft even when it first came out with all its bugs, and since then I just waited for the day to come when people would see its beauty years after its release and come to contradict themselves.

1:19 the small fluid animation details like how the character leans while running up a flight of stairs is just something you don't see today at all. such a small addition, with such a huge impact to immersion. i miss the old days.
I never get it why people didn't like Unity. Maybe because I played on PC and never experience the bugs console players were furious about... Amazing montage btw, just PERFECT!
Unity really captures the spirit of French revolutionary Paris really well, it's one of my favourite AC games by far. The soundtrack is underrated as well and goes in line with the French/revolutionary spirit. Been playing since it came out and luckily I never had much problems with bugs that others had so I've always liked the game.

I only managed 3-4 hours in Mirage. Was too repetetive and boring. This was much more satisfying to play.
Mirage feels better after 10 hours not worse because of the abilities, tools skills made it great
Mirage has such awful dialogue too I had to change it to Arabic just to tolerate it.

The assassins creed dive into a pile of whatever, has to be one of the most nostalgic/satisfying gaming experience for any kid born in 2000+.

As they can put any mods on unity at will on pc, nothin can beat a pure dedicated AC player with this kind of skill "HANDS DOWN TO THIS PERSON".
There's a lot of AC player doin a 1000 hours still this one is kinda GOOD 👍

1:19 the small fluid animation details like how the character leans while running up a flight of stairs is just something you don't see today at all. such a small addition, with such a huge impact to immersion.

Unity really captures the spirit of French revolutionary Paris really well, it's one of my favourite AC games by far. The soundtrack is underrated as well and goes in line with the French/revolutionary spirit. Been playing since it came out and luckily I never had much problems with bugs that others had so I've always liked the game.
The locals speaking with a cockney accent really adds to the immersion.
It’s the simple things I miss, like a parkour up and down button, or a high and low profile button.
