Lord cardigan was actually the one who ordered and led the famed charge of the light brigade, which took place at the battle of Balaclava. That might sound heroic, but it was because of his stubbornness that the brigade went down the wrong valley and the attack failed. His general blamed him, he blamed the messenger, and the messenger who did indeed bring the message successfully died. He was killed shortly after delivering the message, which cardigan refused to heed.
@@DatManJB Ah, Assassin's ''Try to play stealthy but realise it's way more time effective to just fold every enemy NPC from start to finish'' Creed. I love them but they do make you a walking tank. 😆
You could've just used the upper ceiling instead KO-ing those 2 guards. Though in this specific mission, we must do the special assassination to be able to ghost everyone (otherwise the door would be heavily guarded and we get instanly spotted by the target)
@nstealth huh, weird. I always do that and it works just fine. Maybe need a smoke bomb to do so because the timing window is scarce between the 2 guards
4:55 that move with the hidden blades wouldn't work. I mean... In order to not cut your own fingers, you need to pull back your wrists. But if your wrists are pulled back, your bottom hand's fist would hit your upper hand's wrist. It could only be performed if the two blades are far enough from each other vertically so your hands can also fit between them. Still pretty badass, though :D
He always had them. But when it comes to double assassinations for some reason they kept the same kill animations from arno in ac unity who had one blade.
I try to do this (only kill the target) but then my dumb ass will get spotted by some guard 50 miles away who has the eyesight of zeus and then I end up having to fight 30 guards.
I love Syndicate, and Jacob is such an underrated main protagonist! But jve gotta say, I commneted that I felt disappointed at ubisoft for their new video "featuring all AC protagonists" because their video didnt include Jacob, it only had evie. I said that this makes no sense, considering in syndicate, Jacob is the primary protagonist of the story, not evie. Evie only has 11 story levels, and Jacob has about 24 story levels. Jacob the main character and evie is complementary. That's always been the case with syndicate. So I found it annoying to see Jacob left out, as it alienates hardcore syndicate fans, most of who prefer Jacob. Anyway, I had loads of people get really nasty to me, calling me names, and they were saying out right lies! Some of these evie "fans" were claiming she was the main character over Jacob, which anyone who plays syndicate knows isn't true. Some were claiming evie had 50% of the story, another obvious lie. Others were saying evie and Jacob could be chosen by the player for the entire game just like in Odyssey, again anyone whos played syndicate knows that's a lie. It made me realise syndicate's fan base is infested with activist bullies, and that ubisoft are actively trying to betray syndicate's fans, and re-write the memory of the game. Jacob was left out of odyssey but evie was included. The same happened in the anniversary video, and now this new video. I have had to stop playing syndicate, because I care so much about my favourite game, that im struggling to deal with the falsehood pushing and bullying from evie "fans" and I'm getting so angry at ubisoft for betraying syndicate fans like me, in order to pretend evie is the main hero in a game that's clearly about Jacob. I wonder if me stating obvious facts will result in more bullying here as well? I hope not.
Personally I liked Jacob, but I felt he was too hotheaded a lot of the time- I was BADD at stealth when I played syndicate so I always chose Jacob- but I did feel sometimes like his dialogue was just, bleh. As far as I’m aware a lot of the AC community just dislike Jacob because of that- he doesn’t act like an assassin, more like an edgelord with an assassin title I suppose- though I don’t exactly get that entirely, I can see it sometimes.
@@FancyGojo sadly your wrong. The reality is Journos hated Jacob because he's a boy and they wanted a big win for feminism with evie. So they simply slander Jacob and promote evie. Fans read these takes, and see the same takes on now confirmed bribed youtube channels, and there you go. Suddenly fans are copying the false narrative that's anti Jacob. Due to Jacob being rhe primary protagonist of the story, who players play as for over two thirds of the story, and who the open world and all it's activities are built for, the constant slander against Jacob, makes the game feel unwelcoming. Meanwhile, people normally don't want to invest in evie as a character because she doesn't suit the unique stuff this game offers, she's very 2 dimensional and as a result boring to most people, and she only has one third of the story. Evie is clearly a side character. So she's not worth investing in for a potential fan. Ultimately the slander against Jacob, and poor efforts of pushing evie into a "twin protagonist" role that she's fundamentally not able to efficiently fit, has given syndicate a bad reputation.
The journo class threw a huge fit at how much story time Jacob got over Evie. It's why he's a side character in Jack the Ripper and Evie is the only playable character in that DLC. Unfortunately as is the usual for the leftist elites it's never enough and Ubisoft has spent Syndicates legacy entirely ignoring Jacobs existence. It's absurdly sad as their whole character is written as two halves of the perfect assassin. Jacob the idealist man of the people and Evie the assassin in the shadows. One without the other is an incomplete character and that's not a bad thing. What is a bad thing is trying to make a complementary character stand along from their other half.
@@simonnachreiner8380 that's the thing. Jacob is the primary protagonist of the game. Evie isn't even the protagonist, in fact she's not even a twin protagonist in reality. A twin protagonist must be equal to or nearly equal to the other protagonist. This isn't true for evie, as she only has 11 story levels and isn't possible to be the canon choice in most levels where you can choose who to be. There are even cinimatics in the story that directly imply Jacob as the canon character choice for many levels you get the choice. As for the levels you don't get to choose, evie only has 11, and Jacob has just around 24. Jacob has all the important stuff as well, such as the gang, the many templar targets, and it's Jacob in the end who first discovers the precursor site and returns the shroud to where it belongs. Jacob is the main character, regardless of what journos say. In addition to all that, Jacob is a fully rounded assassin by the ending as he was never bad at stealth, and in fact had all the major stealth assassination levels. Jacob's problem was that he was reckless, and he learns not to be by the ending of the story. So while Jacob and evie do need eachother for most of the story, it's ironically Jacob who overcomes this, not evie. The ripper dlc actually contradicted loads of lore and storylines from the base game, and as a result the ripper storyline is barely even canon, due to how much it fundamentally breaks. Where's Jacob's fully grown child who is a master assassin that we know of from ww1? Why even call evie from India at that point? How did jack escape an asylum that closed for good in 1868, yet Jack escaped it after 1868! It makes no sense! I could go on for ages about how unlikely it is that the freedom fighting rooks turned to jack for leadership as well. Even Jacob's actor commented that he felt the ripper dlc was silly because evie historically couldn't have made it to London from India in time for the story to unfold. Ubisoft have tried to erase Jacob's memory. It's all over the youtube and journo spaces as well. Slander that isn't true about Jacob, designed to make people dislike him. Underpaying his role in the game, and even some people outright refusing to accept he's the protagonist or an assassin! The rudest people I've ever spoken online with are evie "fans" who almost always end up revealing they don't play syndicate or sometimes that they don't even like the game! Yet they still feel the need to praise evie unfairly, and slander Jacob unfairly. They literally go on the attack to anyone who says Jacob is a good character, and they've been doing this for nearly a decade! I love Syndicate, but now I can't play it. I've had to stop, because it's so toxic now. We syndicate fans who love the game, of course love playing as Jacob. Jacob is the game's Bayek, and evie is the game's Aya. In fact bayek and Jacob have the same equivalent amount of the story when compared to aya and evie. That said syndicate's story is longer, and I've played them both many times to know. Between the constant slander against Jacob, and the unfair bias for evie, such as adding her to odyssey and the anniversary event video, but not including Jacob, or having Jacob removed from the ripper dlc, I now feel unwelcome as a fan. I also worry that syndicate's 10th anniversary will be used to add evie content and nothing good for Jacob, or to slander Jacob more and further re-write the games history to force evie as a protagonist role which she never was meant to have. All of this has changed my view of evie as well. I used to dislike her because she's boring but that was all. Now I can't stand evie, as she represents every negative experience I've had with the game and the community.
Hero of balaclava, interesting since he ran after getting cut off by the Russians and left it to others to break the light brigade out of Russian lines.
