    Thank you everyone for looking forward to this video! I know it's not the best of the best quality there is but I did my best to finish it in the shortest amount of time. I hope that you'll learn something from this and will help you decide on which medium to use on your projects. I'll work on Part 2 as soon as I can :3 Thank you and hart hart 💕
    P.S. Oh and I just found out after rendering the video that Pebeo is supposed to be pronounced as Pe-bee-ow lol 😅 I didn't bother updating the voiceover just for that haha I'll be adding subtitles to voiceover videos when I have the time! 😄

    thanks for this video! question, what way do you prefer to color your clays? and what do you suggest? thanks!

    • @zainclayarts
      @zainclayarts  2 года назад

      hmm depends on the project i'm working on or the situation but in general,
      if i know i need a big batch of a certain color like skin for example or just white, i color them before cooking.
      for mini food which usually just needs a small amount of clay, i just make the basic clay and mix the color after.
      for light colored parts on certain projects, i prefer to just paint them over to save me time from keeping the clay clean coz that could be quite time consuming and takes a lot of effort.

    Random learning, sabi sa nung isang art teacher dati na may mga blue paints na gawa sa rocks(?)/Minerals(?) kaya sa watercolour may floaty keme na humihiwalay kapag nag wet on wet method? baka yun din yung particles na nakukuha mo. or yung may sala sa humihiwalay? Hula lang haha. edit: wait baka mali ako hahaha xD Kung tama red paint din pala mineral gamit minsan

    hi can I spray paint the uncolored uncooked clay after making the project (once its dried ofc)?

    How well does colored clay store? Does it affect the consistency of the clay over time?

    • @zainclayarts
      @zainclayarts  3 года назад

      hm i would say that colored clay's shelf life still depends on how well it is stored. if kept in an airtight container, it'll definitely last longer like uncolored clay. however, if kept in a normal container, like the cups i used in the video, it'll start to dry in a few weeks if not maintained properly.
      the coloring used can slightly affect the consistency (like if you used a powder or liquid medium) but i think the drying process affects that factor the most.

    Hi, can i ask, is it ok to use washable poster paints?

    • @zainclayarts
      @zainclayarts  2 года назад +1

      probably? although i'm afraid the color may fade if you use water with the clay because it's washable. sorry, can't be sure since aside from the mediums i used in this video, i haven't tried using other ones. i think it's best if you try it with a small batch of clay and see how it goes! :)

    • @zainclayarts
      @zainclayarts  Год назад

      it's not that cooking is needed but it's just the recipe i personally use and highlighted in this part of the episode. also, "air dry" only pertains to the curing/drying/hardening process. there are various recipes for cold porcelain, like cooked and uncooked. if you want more info between the two, you can watch the first episode of this series 😊
