I’ve got one on the way. I’m part of the “by the end of march” group from b&h. I want something to replace my xpro2 as my “take everywhere” travel camera
Absolutely loving my x100vi. My first Fuji. I’m a Sony shooter for work but this camera has inspired me to take more photos and document my life. Love the film recipes and how great the files look out of camera which is perfect for personal work. Very happy indeed.
Really good review. Very honest and forthright. I’m a Fuji fanboy and was expecting to see something about it being meh for whatever reason but an honest review for anyone who is in the market for *this* particular camera.
Terrific review! Love the tips. The IBIS that allows a 1” shutter speed imaging was awesome. Definitely a reason to upgrade. Appreciate all your content and humor! Keep it up 👍🏻
you keep getting better and better =) I love that you didnt give this a heavy full on DSLR/interchangable mirrorless shakedown but treated it as a camera unto itself. solid review and video.
I'm convinced I want to give it a try. I currently have an R6 with a bunch of lenses and a grip that's increasingly become a pain to schlep around on street shoots. I'd give the Fuji a try.
I shoot Canon for over 25 years, added a Fuji XT3 to my bag and slowly made the switch to Fuji! The size, character from my photos, cost of the lenses, etc just spoke to me. I found myself carrying my camera around everywhere again! I still edit my raw files but I must admit I love the jpegs and film simulations! My Fuji kit now consists of an XH2S, XT5, X100V and my beloved XT3. My clients love the images I deliver. Happy shooting 📷
I have an R6 with a bunch of L lens. I also have an X-Pro1, and a XT-1 with the 18/2, 35/1.4 and 56/1.2. From an IQ perspective, it’s hard to distinguish the difference between the 2. I bought the R6 for its AF, as a bird photographer the R6 smokes the Fuji. I have a small messenger bag, the 2 bodies and 3 Fuji lens I have easily fit in, and it’s super comfortable to carry around all day. I have a Manfrotto BeFree carbon fibre tripod which weighs next to nothing, all in, its a great lightweight set up.
I have the R6 Mark II and I was able to shoot at ISO 204,800 with incredible quality after editing the RAW file. I can't open my hand with the Canon R6II. But I plan to buy a Fuji X-Pro 4 when it comes out. And I will keep my Canon.
velvia is my favorite too. I shoot raw+jpeg as I prefer to be able to edit my raws later but the ability to send a good looking jpeg to my phone and share it quickly before getting home for post production it works really well.
My gawd! Forget the review, I just love the compositions you produce, and I think the challenge of shooting through a fixed lens is something you've obliterated. Really damn fine work Jared. Although I already have a deep and passionate love of photography, witnessing your images only intensifies those feelings. (Scott drank a bottle of wine before commenting, but that should not negate from the fact that he thinks you're awesome at your craft, and that RUclips is blessed to have you posting).
Pausing the video for a moment. Hey Jared, It's been a while since I last checked your youtube channel and I'm happy to be back. I just want to take a moment and tell you that your "Real World Reviews" are one of the best reviews i see online, I like their rythm and the quality of the information, what I exactly want to know (e.g. the dials setups, ecc..). Thank you, Jared.
Have an R5 with L lenses, but something about a pocketable camera to take around for street photography and more candid shots feels right. With 40 mp and ibis, this might be hard to beat. And the esthetic is on point
Best accessory combo = Fuji X100VI + Fujifilm LC-X100V (official leather case) + NiSi Fuji X100 Series Black Mist Filter 1/4 (or the non mist edition). The leather case gives extra grip, especially on the right hand (thumb grip no longer needed). This filter also allows the original cap to still be used AND it still fits in the leather case with the filter attached.
personally i would love to see you post more videos not only about gear but about photography in general and your thought processes when taking photos, anyways, great video!!
Wow, Jared surprisingly I love your review of this camera! I’ve been shooting Fuji for approximately four years after switching from canon. I enjoy using Fuji as my primary tool, they just meet my needs. As you said I’m the professional not the camera. Fuji makes shooting fun, it challenges me to be more creative. I’ve preordered mine and can’t wait to receive it!
Very solid and entertaining review. One of my favorite photo's I captured with my X100S was in a bowling alley. As a longtime Fuji shooter who has owned several of the X100 series cameras, it's for sure a camera for me but to your point, not what I would recommend to first time buyer. Perhaps one I would suggest would be the X-S20.
Your pics are amazing. Love this camera. Best thing about that in-body cropping is it only crops in on the "jpg", not on the raw. So, as long as you configure to write both raws & jpg's (or hif's) you get the best of both worlds.
I’ve been waiting on this video. You were much more positive than I expected. Took some great photos! I preordered as a second camera to carry around everyday. You can edit those film simulations in any Fuji camera to get the look you want but I know you live that RAW life…. That battery sucks but I already own 2 of them so I should be good if I ever get mine… Ha
Jared, sou usuário de Fuji desde 2014 e posso te afirmar, o arquivo preto e branco da Fujifilm é o melhor que já pude por minhas mãos. Abraços diretamente do Brasil.
You can get a compact lens and throw it on a smaller interchangeable lens camera and get basically the same thing if you don't bring any other lenses. Something like the A7C II, or for even smaller lenses, etc a Panasonic Gx9. But honestly a lot of what Jared said in this video is what I hear from many Micro Four Thirds shooters about why they like the system. The lens and camera combos can be very small. With smaller sensors you usually get better image stabilization. But mostly Micro Four Thirds cameras are fun to use.
This is partially true, but one of the BIG advantages of the X100 is that the leaf shutter and built-in flash mean that you can get high-speed shutter sync with fill flash on a sunny day. In other words, it is _very good_ for taking pictures of people outdoors.
I would love to see you finally test out a Leica after seeing this review, I know you'll be honest with your opinions. Especially a Q3 as a direct competitor to this
Mine will be shortly, with under 2,000 actuations. I bought it early, too. My photography is mainly travel, and since 2020 events have conspired against me. So not a fashion accessory! I’m upgrading not for the 40MP but for the IBIS, and to some extent better autofocus.
Hi Jared, Your photos that you showed in this video are amazing. I enjoyed them very much. Especially the B&W photos. My compliments. Lot’s of greetings, Dennis 🇳🇱
Real world shooting scenarios backed by 'actual' images are the only kind of reviews I care about... So I appreciate the time spent doing it. This is probably the only Fuji camera I'd be interested in owning, but as an owner of a few 70's film cameras, I'm a fan of that retro pocket-size design. I'm shocked that more manufacturers don't make a similar camera... They sell huge numbers.
i really enjoyed this review. Was expecting a negative review due to the focus/appeal of shooting film simulations/jpg on this camera, and expected you to rant on about how jpg is nonsense and raw is better. But you were objective and summed it up great! RAW will allways be better if you dedicate the time to editing the photo. But as you said, if you want something quick and dont want to edit, this is a great alternative. Found myself wanting this camera due to me not bringing my A7R3 and various lenses out of the house the last 2 years. The results? i dont bring a camera and dont take photos anymore. This will hopefully change that! Thanks for a great review!
Jared, one can only salute you on this "for you not usually kind of gear review". I know the FUJI cameras inside out for ten years now and I can only give you "10 out of 10 points" here. And oh boy are your Harlem Globe shots amazing ! ... Thanks for sharing !
After putting a shutter button on the shutter button, I found myself accidentally turning on the X100V a lot less. I bought mine in late 2020, and it ended up being my most used camera for the next three years. When I got my first DSLR a decade and a half ago, I took it everywhere with me. Then as my gear evolved into fancier kit, I took it far fewer places. I stopped being a daily shooter, and only really shot on trips and on projects. The X100 got me out of that funk in the heart of the pandemic times. Took a select number of pictures almost every day of the week for three years. I don't know if it will be that camera for everyone, but it was that camera for me. I sold it a week before the VI was announced. Good timing, I guess.
Surprisingly positive review from you! I didn't think you would enjoy this camera as much as you did and you really showed your photography skills well in this video. The camera itself is definitely one of those things I'd own when I am older and want something to carry everyday. Currently I need an interchangeable lens system (still Fuji though!) but this series of cameras would be incredibly fun to own and use. I bought into Fuji because of the retro design and ease of use with the manual controls. I have come to enjoy the menu system as well after learning it and it makes a lot of sense to me. One of the best RUclips channels for Fuji related help/tutorials is Pal2tech. Detailed in explanations while not having any bs or fluff and has been Fuji focused for a long time now so he is very familiar with the Fuji cameras/lenses.
I think jared loved this 100vi so much that he's ok getting a shot out of focus at 21:51 😁 Now this is a refreshing review and the photo at 20:15 is chef's kiss! Love it.
Hi Jared! These are some of the best shots ive seen from Fujifilm. I meant to ask you, apart from shooting RAW, did you readjust the white balance for scenario changes or you adjusted WB in LR? If yes, did you use white/gray card? Your advice would be very helpful and appreciated.
Long time follower and you even did a portfolio review with me. I had to sell my Sony stuff for financial reasons, but ive been dying to get back into photography and i think i wanna go this route. I have a lot less time these days, so simple is sounding better. Thanks for the awesome review
I'm waiting for my order to arrive. I got a big Nikon with lenses and all and last year when I was on holidays I did not take a single picture because I did not want to take out my big lens with my big camera. This thing looks like nothing and takes great pictures. Can't wait to get mine!
I have the X100V and I say the exact same thing! This camera is the one I take with me when I don’t want to feel like I’m working. It’s nice not having to bring my Sony and lenses everywhere I go.
Really nice review of this camera. It’s obvious you know how to use all kinds of camera because you got a lot of great images in all kinds of different conditions. I appreciate how you showed the versatility of this small factor camera. I have owned the Fuji X 100T, F and V and have this camera ordered. I like to use it mostly for street photography but it’s also fun as you said because of the box. It makes you move and for me it’s just a fun camera to shoot. While I normally use my bigger Nikon’s for my landscape work, it’s fun to just pick this camera up and take it and leave the heavy gear behind and know I can still get some great photos. Thanks for also showing how your presets affected the look of the images, I will have to check those out.
How does this compare in physical size vs the Leica Q3? I wonder how it compares to the Nikon Zf with maybe a pancake lens (do they make one?) I’m interested in a really nice small camera like this, but would prefer FF…
I’ve had the x100vI for a couple weeks now and I love it!I own two other Fujifilm cameras which are great as well but there are enough unique things about the x100vI to keep it. I agree that this should not be somebody’s first camera to learn on. Being able to try different focal lengths is a game changer. It also makes getting a fixed lens camera that much more convenient and challenging all at the same time. Not going to lie, I didn’t think you were going to like it as much as you did. I would love to see which kit would be the best to maximize a new pair of jnco jeans, 😂. Thanks for the great review.
it intrigues me for sure. I like the idea of something so small that I can easily take along to capture moments that I might not otherwise take or have to take on my phone.
On our recent trip to Ireland we noticed there weren’t too many people using cameras. Most were using their phones. This along with the fact that Nikon and Canon have put their DSLR program on the back burner made me realize that it was time to trade in my DSLR gear while I could still get a decent trade in value. I am a hobbyist and this camera will be perfect replacement for my needs… I can keep it my pocket and carry it pretty much anywhere we go. I love the single lens approach and can just really focus on the image.. plus the cropping power will compensate fixed lens. Now if I can just find one. Great review…
Been really enjoying this camera and also trying action shots with mine without as much luck as you obviously had with the basketball game. Any tips on the af settings you used there? Thanks!
I have it. It would help to put it in wide tracking, and continuous. Put the box on your subject; it will then start tracking your subject as you’re holding it down, half press, and when you’re ready to take the picture, press all down.
@@johnnydee7480 Thanks! That helps a lot! 🙏 So tracking is considered more reliable for fast action than using face detect or subject recognition on this camera? That's interesting. Will give that a try!
Thanks for the review. Yes, the Fuji X100 series is limiting. To me that’s the joy of it. I’m an original X100 owner and have added the X100 S and the X100 F along the way. The jump to the new sensor and other enhancements mean that for, it’s time to upgrade to the X100 VI later this year after I’ve saved up for it. I do enjoy the film simulation bracketing which yields three looks, jpegs, from one click of the shutter. For me, the creativity these little cameras inspire is well worth the price. Happy image making!
Great feedback in very varied situations, really helpful Jared. I shoot Fuji and owned an older X100, I loved it for all the reasons you mentioned the only reason I sold was for interchangeable lenses. Baz
I've had an original X100 sitting on my shelf for a while. I recently cleaned it off and charged it up so my girlfriend could carry it around as an everyday camera and take pictures of us and our friends while we're out. She absolutely loves it and it was definitely a reminder of how strong this concept is. I also get the added benefit of her learning more about aperture, shutter speed, and ISO along the way. I'd rather have an XT-5 but these cameras are so much fun
Hey Jared, I am getting into skate photography and I know you may not be the best person to ask but would it be worth upgrading from a Nikon D80 to D7500 (or a Z50)? Of course, both cameras are miles better than the D80, but would it suit my passion for skate photography. Huge thanks in advance! Also, I would gladly take any advice from other viewers, thanks.
This review comes across like Fro has finally been given the keys to the Fuji toybox. The enthusiasm for the camera for what it is really comes across, while being very fair and transparent with the good and not so good. Many reviewers seem obsessed with comparing it to their ILC with fast lenses after having played with the camera for an hour, or try to shoot a movie on it and complain the battery dies and it overheats too quickly. I've seen some complain it's no good for wildlife! On the price, in the fuji line-up the lens is better than the €450 23mm f2. Woth today's pricing, thats arguably a €600 lens. At least in the fuji world, this camera is their cheapest way to get shooting with a 23mm f2. So just make sure you like the FL! Hopefully Fuji will send you some more review units! Would love to see you taking a look at the recent GFX efforts and to compare to FF and APSC at equivalent focal length and apertures.
Glad you brought in the Sony at the end. That’s my dilemma - getting the Sony a7cii or even the a6700 or the cannon rp Small but not really small. And who can afford a Leica- oh you can but why.
i love the V that i have. I brought it with me to Ireland instead of lugging my big Canon. These cameras do require a bit of practice, but the results can be really good. IMO the output has a lot of character already baked in - the film recipes are fun (classic chrome for me).
Not going to lie, those images are probably the best images I've seen you do. This isn't dig or anything, they just looked really inspiring. I'm a Canon fanboy and I love using manual lenses more than not.
My wife has an X-E4, and I love to borrow it from time to time. Fuji is probably the best "recreational photography system" for those whose backs don't appreciate using their professional gear outside of work conditions.
Wow, best video Ive seen from you...stopped watching years ago. Came for fujifilm info not expecting anything special recieved information that was structured in a way that I found very useful. The images were aligned more with what I would strive to achieve with this camera...excellent work! Hope fujifilms' new GFX rangefinder version of this camera is equally awesome....hope it comes with the 35mm 1.4 fullframe equivalent(Fujifilm has a GFX 55 f1.7 that is a 44mm 1.4 equivalent, maybe you could choose which lens?) Medium format fixed zoom lens with ibis for around 4000.00... you could travel with one camera and get ridiculous images. I bet if the price is less than 4200.00, this will sell like crazy. And that will get people wanting to get other GFX bodies/lenses
Amazing to see what an experienced photographer can pull-off when "locked in a box". Never thought such photos were possible with a fixed lens camera, and the compositions are just brilliant. Point and shoot next, Fro?
I had the og x100 and although I liked the form it was little to quirky and slow and I’m really tempted to buy this one …to bad it’s a fixed lens , imagine if the lens was interchangeable and they had 24,35 and 50mm pancake lenses to it . Would been perfect for me
I have a canon 5d4 with a few lenses and the X100v. The X100v is a joy to use for all the reasons stated by Jared for the X100vi. I do not see the point of upgrading to the VI from the V as the shooting experience will not change.
Jared… pleaseee try the Sony RX1R mark II Ikik it’s 9 years old but it’s perhaps the smallest full frame camera. (nvm the sigma fp is smaller… but only w a pancake lens)
It’s a 35 mm equivalent. 23mm lens on an aps-c sensor so it will equal a 35mm FF field of view. The built in TC zoom (crop) options are 50mm and 70mm FOV
Hi Jared, I shoot with Nikon but I can appreciate the features of this Fuji camera. I still have a Fuji Finepix Compact camera, Fuji do make nice looking cameras that also take great pictures. Thanks 😊
The wonderful and surprising thing about using just one lens is the freedom it gives you. It’s hard to explain. The X100 series is not versatile in so many ways and I hate the 1 card slot (among other things) , but it inspires and delights. And for city breaks, there is probably nothing better. It’s like a smartphone, but sexy and cool. Like the first iPhones. I wish it had a 4/3 ratio sensor too (NOT a micro 4/3, ugh) but that’s just me. I like that format.
I just picked up my Fuji X100vi after a 5 month wait. First impressions, it feels reassuringly and comfortably solid and surprisingly heavy for its size but this in no way detracts from its handling. I already have a Sony RX100m7 so did I really need this camera? Meh! probably not, but did I want one, Oh Yeah! As I grew up using a manual Olympus 35mm system I felt immediately at home with the aperture ring on the lens and the speed and ISO dial on the top, perfect! My other main camera is a Nikon Zfc so you can see I not only like but feel at home with the retro side of things without having to navigate a maze of menus. I've not given the Fuji a full 'maiden voyage' but its just a matter of soon. I love the options for simulating the old film stock and really look forward to experimenting with this. My main gripes with the camera is:- 1. Would it have hurt to put filter thread on it? 2. Just a little bit of zoom would be nice say 135mm for portraits. Would it add more weight? yeah probably but I could live with it.
I was so interested in the x100 line 2-3 years ago coming from an xt20 and many previous canon dslrs. The only reason I haven't bought one? Besides the inflated second hand price, the persona associated with them. It's akin to subaru drivers and big vape clouds.. It's seemingly the camera you buy if you want to look like you take photos, but actually dont. Probably incredibly superficial of me but oh well. I can't help but attach this camera to all the "analog photography" posers who like photography for aesthetics over anything else.
Is this camera for you? Yes or No?
No, keeping my Ricoh gr3x. But appreciate Fuji as a company.
No 😊
I’ve got one on the way. I’m part of the “by the end of march” group from b&h. I want something to replace my xpro2 as my “take everywhere” travel camera
@@jpmccormac somebody’s trying to get folks to cancel their preorders so he can advance in line 😂
hell no lmao, for almost 2k you can get much better
Jared and Fuji is a rare combo and I enjoyed it.
glad you enjoyed it
Yeah. I was criticizing him before for lack of fuji content, rightfully so, fuji colors are fantastic. Now I'm happy:)
Geez, me too. I'm actually shocked.
@froknowsphoto nice video jared.. i had to look twice and thought it was you haha
Yes!
Absolutely loving my x100vi. My first Fuji. I’m a Sony shooter for work but this camera has inspired me to take more photos and document my life. Love the film recipes and how great the files look out of camera which is perfect for personal work. Very happy indeed.

i only review one way
Terrific review! Love the tips. The IBIS that allows a 1” shutter speed imaging was awesome. Definitely a reason to upgrade. Appreciate all your content and humor! Keep it up 👍🏻
This is has the best example photos of any reviews of this camera I have seen by FAR! Fantastic work!
you keep getting better and better =) I love that you didnt give this a heavy full on DSLR/interchangable mirrorless shakedown but treated it as a camera unto itself. solid review and video.
“Locked in a box.” That’s perfect. Well done, as always.
As a Fuji pro photographer ,and a fan of your channel, I’ve been hoping to see a video like this on Fuji. Well done!
You can lock the exposure comp button with the menu as well as other things in the camera.
oh nice
I'm convinced I want to give it a try. I currently have an R6 with a bunch of lenses and a grip that's increasingly become a pain to schlep around on street shoots. I'd give the Fuji a try.
As literally exact same situation. R6 and just don’t bring it with me often

One of your best camera sessions that I’ve seen. Love this style of pictures and photography… big fan of yours and black & white. Greetings from 🇨🇦

I was worried Jared was going to shred this camera to pieces. I’m pleasantly surprised. Good review from one of my favorite photographers.
What I love is seeing so many X100V on the used market with under 3000 shutter. Fashion accessory is definitely the right term for many users.
Mine will be shortly, with under 2,000 actuations. I bought it early, too. My photography is mainly travel, and since 2020 events have conspired against me. So not a fashion accessory! I’m upgrading not for the 40MP but for the IBIS, and to some extent better autofocus.

I have R5 and for my pocket camera went a GR3x that actually does fit in any of my regular pants pockets. Love that little thing.
Real world shooting scenarios backed by 'actual' images are the only kind of reviews I care about... So I appreciate the time spent doing it.

I really want the optical rangefinder. But if you shoot RAW all the "film simulations" are just instagram filters you can make in Lightroom
i really enjoyed this review.
I think jared loved this 100vi so much that he's ok getting a shot out of focus at 21:51 😁
Now this is a refreshing review and the photo at 20:15 is chef's kiss! Love it.
More Fuji content please! 🙏 you’re the reason companies push new updates and Fujifilm definitely needs more push!
Will you make review for om-1 mark II?
Hi Jared! These are some of the best shots ive seen from Fujifilm. I meant to ask you, apart from shooting RAW, did you readjust the white balance for scenario changes or you adjusted WB in LR? If yes, did you use white/gray card? Your advice would be very helpful and appreciated.
You missed the little popup evf inside the optical (it gives you best of both worlds)
Long time follower and you even did a portfolio review with me. I had to sell my Sony stuff for financial reasons, but ive been dying to get back into photography and i think i wanna go this route. I have a lot less time these days, so simple is sounding better. Thanks for the awesome review
Hi Jared, Thanks for this review. You really got some amazing shots. Fuji will grow on you.
I'm waiting for my order to arrive. I got a big Nikon with lenses and all and last year when I was on holidays I did not take a single picture because I did not want to take out my big lens with my big camera. This thing looks like nothing and takes great pictures. Can't wait to get mine!
should be fun
I wonder how it compares to the Nikon Zf with maybe a pancake lens (do they make one?)
I’m interested in a really nice small camera like this, but would prefer FF…
I’ve had the x100vI for a couple weeks now and I love it!I own two other Fujifilm cameras which are great as well but there are enough unique things about the x100vI to keep it. I agree that this should not be somebody’s first camera to learn on. Being able to try different focal lengths is a game changer. It also makes getting a fixed lens camera that much more convenient and challenging all at the same time.
Not going to lie, I didn’t think you were going to like it as much as you did.
I would love to see which kit would be the best to maximize a new pair of jnco jeans, 😂. Thanks for the great review.
Hey Jared
Does the presets work on video?
it intrigues me for sure.
So tracking is considered more reliable for fast action than using face detect or subject recognition on this camera? That's interesting. Will give that a try!
Thanks for the review. Yes, the Fuji X100 series is limiting. To me that’s the joy of it. I’m an original X100 owner and have added the X100 S and the X100 F along the way. The jump to the new sensor and other enhancements mean that for, it’s time to upgrade to the X100 VI later this year after I’ve saved up for it. I do enjoy the film simulation bracketing which yields three looks, jpegs, from one click of the shutter. For me, the creativity these little cameras inspire is well worth the price. Happy image making!
It's a fun side lightweight camera to have with you all the time if you already have your professional interchangeable camera for when you need it.
Great feedback in very varied situations, really helpful Jared. I shoot Fuji and owned an older X100, I loved it for all the reasons you mentioned the only reason I sold was for interchangeable lenses. Baz
Been waiting for this!!! Thank u Jared
Best X100Vl review..... Love to see an Xh2s review from you ...froooo
Not Fuji fanboy here, but love how you delivered the pics results. I forgot the “I Shoot RAW” slogan for a moment.
Sony is the best bet. Best lens selection, battery life, and autofocus.
If you are into nikon, z30 is cheap as hell. But in that lower apsc market nothing is close to fuji. I would buy An XS10 or xt30 ii without hesitation
@@lewcehjitl3282Sony doesn’t have great lens selection, but good enough. Their AF is top notch for sports. I’d get the a6700
This review comes across like Fro has finally been given the keys to the Fuji toybox.
That’s my dilemma - getting the Sony a7cii or even the a6700 or the cannon rp
Small but not really small. And who can afford a Leica- oh you can but why.
Really enjoyed this review Jared
i love the V that i have.
This is the best real world review I’ve seen.
This is the best review of the x100vi by far
Wowwww ! Jared, and I thought you didnt get one review unit of the Fuji X100VI. Finally you got one unit, and this review .
I love the noise! Reminds me of old school T-max pumped up to 3200
You know they made T-max 3200, right?
Hands down, best review of this camera ever! 👏
Amazing to see what an experienced photographer can pull-off when "locked in a box". Never thought such photos were possible with a fixed lens camera, and the compositions are just brilliant.
Point and shoot next, Fro?
When you know what you’re doing
You can get great results with anything.
Great review Jared, I know you are not into Fuji but so good to see your thoughts on this camera and some great clicks there too! 👍🏻
Did I miss a mention of the Ricoh GR III / IIIx or did you intentionally ignore it completely?
I had the og x100 and although I liked the form it was little to quirky and slow and I’m really tempted to buy this one …to bad it’s a fixed lens , imagine if the lens was interchangeable and they had 24,35 and 50mm pancake lenses to it . Would been perfect for me
6:15 Agreed. I spent hours learning just the menu.
Great camera, but I think I would be happier with a brand new Ricoh GR, if the GRIV comes out and really delivers on the right things.
I have a canon 5d4 with a few lenses and the X100v. The X100v is a joy to use for all the reasons stated by Jared for the X100vi. I do not see the point of upgrading to the VI from the V as the shooting experience will not change.
12:15 “I personally like to control and tweak my raw files myself.” Why haven’t you ever mentioned that before?
Jared… pleaseee try the Sony RX1R mark II
Ikik it’s 9 years old but it’s perhaps the smallest full frame camera. (nvm the sigma fp is smaller… but only w a pancake lens)
is the lens a 35mm or a 22mm which would be around 35mm with the crop?
It’s a 35 mm equivalent. 23mm lens on an aps-c sensor so it will equal a 35mm FF field of view. The built in TC zoom (crop) options are 50mm and 70mm FOV
Definitely worth it. Bought it. Lovin' it.
Hi Jared, I shoot with Nikon but I can appreciate the features of this Fuji camera. I still have a Fuji Finepix Compact camera, Fuji do make nice looking cameras that also take great pictures. Thanks 😊
Terrific video -- it looks like a great camera.
I think you're spot on with the use cases.
Did we ever get a review for the fuji gfx 100?
My main gripes with the camera is:-
