To be clear, in Soma you're not experiencing a virtual reality sim. Your mind is stored in a computer but you're piloting another person's corpse around in the real world as your body.
I still remember getting the chills when Simon looks in the mirror and sees the robot... such a good gaaame ❤ And yeah- The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a really sad one.. although a true, un-hyped gem :)
You might have already put it in a list, but Bramble: the Mountain King, was unbelievably great. A mix of gorgeous and upsetting images, a plot steeped in creepy Nordic folklore, and actually has enjoyable gameplay
I was so happy to see CoF on this. It's such a great game. Wrt plot twists, I would also recommend Love, Sam and Through the Woods. The second one....the plot twist in that really took me by surprise!
I was so happy to see the Witch's House!!! If you haven't already, could you please do a video on RPG Maker horror games? Witch's House, Ib, Ao Oni, Mad Father, Misao, Crooked Man, etc?! That would be awesome!
Would like a list of the names of the games since there are spoilers and I want to check out the games before I watch this video. That being said, I scrolled through quickly and noticed you included SOMA. In my opinion, this is probably the best game ever made in gaming history with a twist unlike anything I've ever seen before. Ever since I played SOMA, I think I peaked in gaming film and TV. Nothing quite hits the same. It's a masterpiece game. If you have never played it before, I suggest you stop reading anything about it and play it on a dark night with the lights off. SOMA has some of the downright scariest encounters in any game I've ever played. And the psychological aspect of it will scar you for life. Cheers.
In Soma, Simon did not die in the brainscan, he died later on from the complications of his accident but the scan version obviously last remembers being scanned
Omg I just found out that SOMA has a plot twist with a pretty dark ending (my opinion). I don't know if everyone agrees or not with my opinion but martha is dead is mind blowing plot twist.
Gotta love when KazzaGamesTV uploads videos of horror game lists with reasons for it! I wonder if they will make a list of horrors that the visual can be cartoon-ish, just like how it was described on that very last honorable mentions. [The Witch's House]
@@KazzaGamesTV Nice 😎👌 Dunno if you saw my comment on your last community post with some recommendations/gems in the RPG Maker horror genre to check out. But, yeah 👍 Keep it up with the great videos :)
Wonderful List. I had to fast forwards just to the titles cause I'm a player of horror games with only the description the platform offers. I might of forwarded to much but i found started at 5. I watched just incase but none were tagged except 5-1. Title says 8. uh oh *teehee* still wonderful vids! thanks for filling 2 pages of new games to hunt (no pun intended) down.
In Soma, the brain scan went successfully. It just copied his memories To the time he went there. He kept on living for several months until he succumbed to his injuries. Then in the future, his memories were “woken up” in a machine and he only remembers going for the scan as the scan only reached to that point.
Soma and Simon knew that plot twist half the way of the game. The final twist is a twist to a fact you'll know about mid game. Yes, there was a lie, but not the one mentioned here.
Man, I just love your videos, so I subbed you! 🤩 I think it is very interesting how you explain the games' stories. You do explain very good, and I think 37 minutes feels like 15, the time passes very fast when having fun watching. So personally, I don't mind the length of your videos at all. I have one question, though: The thumbnail of this video, isn't that from "Under: Depths of Fear"? I hoped to see it as well here. Have you played it? Can you add it in one of your videos if you haven't already? I would be very interesting to hear your opinion about it, and hear you telling its story. 😊 I have purchased it and downloaded it, but I haven't dared trying to play it myself yet. I have seen gameplays, and those alone gave me nightmares. I would love to hear what you have to say about "Under: Depths of Fear". 🙂👍 Best regards. 🌻🌸🌷
Rule of Rose and the vanishing of Ethan Carter. And Leftovers.and the Suicide of Rachael Foster. And Love Sam. The Blair Witch. Ethan Carter made me actually cry.
9:32.. With all those spoilers, kids these days are lucky indeed... There are no spoilers like this long ago! But we survive horror games! 😁 Blair Witch: "-Ellis, you dont sound like yourself." Ofcourse you sound like yourself! .....
@@KazzaGamesTVYea, it happens even to the soldiers that have been fighting in a real battlefield conflict before. There were multiple cases of PTSD during the Irak war as well. On top of that, both Silent Hill Homecoming and the Blair witch Project the game depict that kind of post traumatic experience with great accuracy either. Btw, my compliments for your cool channel.👍🏻 P.S. Project Nightmares case# Henrietta Kedward , it looks a frightening cool horror game either, hype and fear all the night! 👀

That second one sounds like a letdown. I would outright expect that kind of ending from that game, but I would want to be told something about why and how he killed his mother. Not just "YOUkilled your mum. She's angry." "Oh. Oops my bad."
I thought the same thing... that's such an anti-climactic and lazy ending?? I could roll my eyes at the predictability if I wasn't so taken aback by the fact the devs didn't even bother to come up with a reason. Not even a nonsensical one. I think SH2 more than deserved that spot on the main list rather than the noteworthy mention, as it did that twist so much better.
Yeah, it was awful. They could've bothered to add that he had a mental illness and killed her while having hallucinations, or that he accidentally killed her when he mistook her for a robber or something, or that he is actually a serial killer and only acted innocent to fool others...
Ya had me on the first title Cry of Fear is my jam mon Legitimately the only game that kinda scared me & as a free to play steam title I have to say it’s prob my favourite game in the horror genre😁
i agree vanishing is pretty insane but imo its pretty bad i get what they were going for but the story of the game is pointless when theres no conclusion to the detective story

I was disappointed with the ending of the Blair Witch game. I wished they ended with us, the player, not fully knowing if the events, haunting and the Blair Witch were real or if all of it was a part of the protags failing mental state due to PTSD. Not this time-loop bs we got
What i hate the most is when the game just went ''it's all in your mind''. The ultimate lazy writing ever. There's no twist because it's just there in plain sight.
So many of these boil down to literally the two most tired and overused tropes in media/writing....it was all if their head and it waa actually you all along..yawn..great vid and narration tho, just disappointing to see the vg world as plagued by lazy writing as the rest of media 😂

CoF is one of the most underrated horror games out there.

Am I the only one who cried at the story of Ethan? Why do they have to make it this sad? 😭😭😭
Me pergunto o mesmo kk quase chorei.. salve ✌️
Turns out, the monster was inside of us all along.
Note to future horror game devs: If your game is a whodunnit mystery, "the player did it" has been done this many times.
I like horror games 💜
Can we find a gf while playing horror games?
Ah Soma ...where the choices you makes doesn't have any effect on the plot rather affects the YOU behind the screen 🎉

I've never heard someone completely miss everything about Soma so badly. The ARK never became corrupted. The WAU did. Completely different things.
what game is at 1:25 ?
Every game has its *Plot Twist* when it's played and commentary by 'ManlyBadassHero'
Plot twists due to insanity.
Please cover the Conjuring house story.
And Visage?
The true real horror in cry for fear the game, is the specter of madness iself.👀
True, and the scary part is that the concept of the game is not even imaginary. Those hallucinations can actually occur to people in real life.
