well to solve your problem. Wear proper shoes? I mean slippers are a littlebit dangerous :D In my country you would propably get a fine for doing so. But as I think that you`re from India, go for it. I hope you wont crash because not wearing safety clothes could definitely injure you bad.
I'm in India , we sometimes take out our bike for nearby work . we wear our sliders or slippers. And even when wearing shoes, if you are not wearing a riding shoes then the gear leaver is in such a way that it makes mark on your shoes badly

You have been oil other than soap water l am using this same protape gear sheos for long time .
One thing is I had to use oil and one more is this is not a pro-taper original . And copies come is different qualities.. 😊
