Because of the corona lockdown we can't travel, so I dug into my archives in search of some old footage.
In this episode we're in the United States and visit a Volkswagen car graveyard.
You can find all types of volkswagen Beetles here, including some special ones like the Beetle karmann ghia type 14 and a Beetle with a Rolls Royce front.
There are also Volkswagen T1 and T2 vans and Golf type 1.

Hi guys enjoyed watching your American explorations in this video yall aren't far from my home in north carolina. As always great video and yeah mosquitoes are abundant here!
Staat op de lijst😊
Thanks Warren! I love exploring in the States.. unfortunately I only made only pictures in 99% of the US abandonments I’ve been😞
Why he don’t sell this cars? I will buy it at least three of them. Gosh! This is so sad to see it.
Thanks you guys for the video! Take care! 🤙🏼😎
This is not a private collection. Its just someone that realllly hates Volkswagen cars and takes them off the roads to see them the rot away slowly.
Oh yeah it was produced in Germany World War II so there’s a lot of hate for the Volkswagen but still you can’t leave them in the woods I wanna fucking know where they are it’s not like there are 10 cars this is like 100 maybe more it’s stupid and it hurts me I’m a car lover and I repair carsSo we can see them in 20 years or 30 years 100 years these are rare examples VW beetles from 1950 maybe even before all the t1 is rare Here in Holland and then MK one it’s worth about 50,000 maybe fully restore that’s a new car These guys are killing me
Makes sense because that's why people restore them
He's a hoarder. Would rather watch them rot away than to sell them, or let someone else enjoy them.
He knows they are desirable and worth tons of money.
He enjoys the fact people know they are there disintegrating, and can't do anything about it.
What a nice guy.
He's probably planning on eating them, like they do in Africa.
Sadly, they aren't worth much with extensive rust and corrosion.
2:56 are you going to stand on your own car? 🤭
Letting them rot away should be considered a crime.
That's a epic find. As a big vw guy it saddens me to see these rotting in the woods.
He packed them in so tight, it's clear that he never had any intention other to let them rot. Most look to be too far gone. I would be happy with just one old VW project car! Cabriolets there too.
Go and get one from your local listings. Buy one before hoarders get their hands on all of them :D
steal maby 🤭😳
WTF...my German heart is bleeding😢so many old beautiful cars😕
As the owner of 17 cars, 4 being old VW, this makes me sick. Hopefully he kicks the bucket soon.
The Beastie Boys would love this place:-))
I HATE THE WAY SOME EXPLORERS LEAVE DOORS OPEN TO THE WEATHER & WILDLIFE
(I shut them but not to lock them)
One could make a ton of money selling parts on eBay. And I mean A TON. Dude could a millioner in no time but why even leave like this to begin with. Just why?
It was both sad and nice seeing all those beetles in such a state.
But,some of them do remind me of the movie Herbie the love bug.😂😂
Why would anyone just let the cars rot away like this?
Maybe regulation issue
If they are old and not worth anything any more... What do you think that happened with all the other old cars?
he is a hoarder, cannot part with anything- shame
'Cause he's nutz.
If he sells them on an auction for parts he can do a good amount of money.
Car restorers drools
3:17 more like VW hell
They're all roting away
The best Urbex channel!
6:31 : we can see the mosquitoes, something like one per cubic inch, crazy !!
How sad, what is the sense of buying all these cars and just let them rot away in the woods...
Had an old VW beetle. Got me from point A to B. Engine ran on rubber bands 😂
@10:21 the wanna be Rolls Royce was cool but @2:39 there looks to be a in good shape white Bug Convert & maybe the Karmann Ghia @10:50
My guess, this is a crazy Washingtonian.
Less than 2:00 in and it's an enthusiast's disaster. The owner will suddenly pass away, and the property quickly sold for development and the cars crushed and scrapped. Seen it all too many times...
13:34 the first split windows (singlecab?) van 66 through 67, between two 68-72 baywindows bus. 14:33 Split windows bus with bullet flasher, ... before 1965..
Asombroso
That owner says he struggling to survive but all VW owners that needs parts could buy from that owner and any one that would like to save a VW could buy from the owner bottom line is that owner can't be struggling that hard because there's money lots of money to be made.. but there going to just sit there and rot away because he won't sell anything
Mostly junk sat way to long that person should be ashamed of him self for being selfish
It’s just sad to see those vws just rotting. If I could afford it, I would love to take all of those and rescue what can be rescued and save the rest for parts on other projects. Shame.
BUT Y???????
ALOT of money just sitting and rotting :(
How many vehicles?
Thanks, Bob! My first car was a 1960 VW Beetle. The guy sold it to me because it wouldn't start. My friend and I pushed it to a nearby gas station and found the battery was dry. We put water in it and it started. That winter it wouldn't start because the water in the battery froze. D'OH! Fortunately, I could put it in 3rd gear, push start it myself and when it started to sputter I'd run into the driver's seat, push in the clutch and voila. It ran. Soon after that I bought a new battery. It burned a lot of oil so I would buy Wolf brand recycled oil. It came in a glass jar that was also recycled! I had a lot of "high times" in that car. 😄
The guy turned out to be really nice to you. But I think eventually his junk yard will become an EPA Superfund site when it needs to be cleaned out.
Recycled oil??! I wonder if that still exists.
@@ek8710 From Valvoline's web site: "Valvoline NextGen™ uses some of the highest quality recycled oil and a breakthrough formula for performance, which meets or exceeds industry specifications."
Sounds like fun haha! Thanks for watching Joe!
That place was awesome 👌 with all those VW'S!!!
It's crazy 😜 how you find out that they are not abandoned but someone owns them all. It's a shame they are just sitting out there rusting away especially when you can see there's some really valuable ones!!! Great 👍 video.
3:00.. Nnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaooooooooooooo
It is a pity those beetles as I watched this video flew to my tears. Greetings from Poland
Thanks for watching!😄
Now it’s too late to restore those cars. Let’s think about environmental pollution. How many hundreds are there ?
Those bugs deserve a restoration and Also i wanna mentions this Cars are Easy to fix and get running
Why these car are abandoned ???
Gdyby sie znalazl entuzjasta tych samochodow to zrobilby wspaniala kolekcje tych wspanialych samochodow naprawde warto
it's both a majestic sight to see yet super sad at the same time.
I love seeing all these VW's together.
But I hate seeing them dead as they are, Not really doing what they were build for to do
such a shame to see these cars rotting away like this some of these beetles could be saved and bought back to life on the road again where they belong
Where is it i cant watch this anymore
Plenty of T3 VW there
its a shame to see these cars just rot away to scrap metal rather then turned into parts for sale ect , ultimately all these will go as scrap steel if left as is - such a shame
I love all VW'S....except for the CC (crap-coupe) & Mk2 Sciroccos
I had an air cooled VW as a teen & I was told it didn’t need water. I knew nothing about cars. So I thought IF IT DOESN’T NEED WATER IT DOESN’T NEED OIL EITHER! Needless to say I blew up the engine! My next car I said I won’t do that again so my next NEW car I decided I won’t do that again & I proceeded to put regular oil in everything & my BRAKES FAILED!!!
Now THAT'S a real hooptie fleet!

Guy's a nut-job hoarder and all those Bugs are rotting from their floorpan up. Must be something in the water up there in NE PA because it's pretty common. 'Ol man Hunsinger's car hoard DWARFS this guys in the same region.

Its so sad to see. All those cars just left to die. There are more places like this also.. so sad.
So many old cars with their own adventure tales - beautiful and sad at the same time.
No no no no noooo all those poor golf 1 :(
9:33 So sad to see all these rotting especially Karmann Ghias 😭
5:54 so sad :( I have a 1974 super beetle.. is my little toy..😊
4:34 the long front versions were the best. I had one once.
All these vannagans and beetles could be restored and of course given away to people for use (you know vanlifers etc )..not to rust...
Kom on why are there so many Volkswagens this is fucking stupid do you even know how many day are worth And how Rare day are getting This really hurts me I want to save them just rotting in the words this is sad 😞
Take everything 😅🤙
Shipping them all to Indonesia. We will restore them become like new cars.😊
This is an abandoned gold mine just waiting to be mined again.
The owner doesn't make sense to me....just letting this fortune rot away.
This exploration channel is absolutely fantastic. 🎉
What a foolish endeavor, this man, will pass away, no long from now, and all his cars won't belong to him anymore, this guy is out of his mind.
so sad seeing them all slowly die... I wonder how he got so many and how much he was spending to acquire them!

So, you did not really originally intend to make a proper video out of this footage/explore? How can you have so much excellent back content?
I explore for 18 years and have tons of footage ☺️ I have still a lot of episodes waiting to be edited. It just takes too much time to edit them and I’m never happy with the footage, because a lot is shot in a rush/hurry
it is difficult to choose one.
How does this happen, please explain me, i´ve only seen this to happen in the US, greetings from México.
Cars a cheap. I’ve have 7 old cars myself. It’s starts with good intentions, but it declines into a junk yard.
Simply wasting 😭 the car's

heaven to me. easy to see ticks do not bother you, or did not in 2017. someone should visit him and aid in fixing/selling some of them. waste to let them rot. nice video.
We got some good stuff to keep Ticks away ;)
