My '58 started this way. I was out in the forest looking for my lost dog. I found it, as well as my bus. 5 years later, we are the best of friends, making new adventures every summer. A rescue bus will love you forever.
It's really interesting how many of these are left-hand drives but with the barn doors opening on the drivers side. These would make very easy right-hand conversions, just the seats, steering and pedal arms need changing!!! ....and of course a little restoration! Me sobs!

I would have pulled every one of them out of there. Probably gone too far to be restored but lots of good parts and lots of cool VW wall hangers and VW bars could be made out of the front nose pieces.
Why can't they be saved? I don't believe that they are unrestorable because I have seen a lot of videos with pealple who save similar or even worse buses. This pleace is public open and all classic VW lowers know about this pleace. Is it next ,,privat colection" or something like this?
