    That's definitely the best pattern so far, I'll be honest idk if you can even read this, or if RUclips's translate feature actually works, but you have inspired me to want to pursue this as a career or at the very least a craft. Idk how long I've been a subscriber but I want to say it was less then 100k idk if you can check that but I'm beyond happy for your channels growth.

    OMG - what a beautiful blade it has become! And then there is the knowledge of what material was used in it.
    One thinks: It contains iron and traces of other metals that were not extracted on earth, but that maybe millions or billions of years before the formation of the earth already made their orbit in space.
    I could get really jealous: D

      Possible but far more likely one of the many pebbles the asteroid belt spits out into the inner solar system periodically. Not sure exactly how many burn into our atmosphere harmlessly annually but it feels like alot.

    • @ivorunac

      Well, iron and other metals here on earth are also from millions or billions years ago created with dying stars.

    • @stefantaubert
      @stefantaubert 3 года назад

      @@ivorunac That's right, Ivo - also the iron on every planet - including on earth - naturally comes from fusion processes in the suns. That is clear. But let's take another example: diamonds - you could also say it's just carbon. And it is the same with iron. For me it makes a difference whether a lump of iron flew through space for billions of years and then became a blade, or whether iron oxide was mined on earth and turned into steel.

      Most likely that’s not true. Most metal meteor’s have a very high nickel content and don’t make very good blades. That’s why he had to incapsulate the meteorite metal in good carbon steel.
