What a great interview! I've always been a fan. I remember when I saw him at a meet back when I was swimming, I think it was the US open maybe in late 90s or early 2000's before he was famous, I was like this dude is gonna be special and I've been following his career ever since. I'm so glad I got to see this interview and he set the record straight about 2016. Ryan, you represented our country so well throughout the years, don't let anyone get you down!

Love that you got to see him in person doing what he does best - SWIM FAST!
I was also glad he cleared up his side of the story behind 2016 - makes you rethink a lot about the media for sure.

@@KyleMillis definitely, their job is to get views, not necessarily facts. A long time ago they were about both but now it's just about views

Great video! Ryan was our team's hero. I'm from a litle Town in Ecuador. Sometimes I think Ryan doesnt realize how influent he was around the world.

Great ep! Loved him opening up and the set of questions you had. I think the interview showed he is just a standup guy--not to mention he could still probably dust people with those fast AF underwaters.

Thank for this open and sincere interview! He is the most emotional and honest sportsmen I’ve ever met. Having been a professional swimmer myself, i know how hard to get to the top and more difficult to stay there!

Finally had a chance to listen to the full episode. Well done Kyle on the interview!
Lochte is my favorite Olympian and swimmer and was a huge inspiration to me while I was in age group.
The "Lochtegate" reminds me of a photo I saw a long time ago that has borders inside of it representing what you can see. The most zoomed in photo shows something horrible happening. The next layer out shows a tv crew filming it. The next layer out shows that the tv crew were selectively leaving out context that changes everything. And as the photo expands to each border, more and more context appears. And by the end, you have a clear photo, but had you only gone off of what the zoomed in photo showed you, you would've been mislead.
    Lochte is the Man!
    F the media.

Remote podcasts are tough - lots of reverb or echo of sound through the computer.
