According to Jon Wilner. Oregon State has Oregon, Washington State, Texas Tech, California, Houston, and Fresno State under contract to play next year. WSU has six opponents lined up: North Texas, San Diego State, Idaho, Washington, Virginia and Oregon State.
If Cam Ward played Quarterback for FSU against Georgia Tech & Boston College, FSU would be undefeated now & FSU would be destined for the ACC Title Game & NCAA Playoffs. Cam Ward EASILY threw accurate passes to Miami receivers against the Gators. Compare that with how IMPOSSIBLE it was for DJU to consistently throw accurate passes to FSU receivers, even when FSU receivers were WIDE Open.
DJ was running for his life most of the time last night. Receivers were dropping passes right in their arms. Yes he was off on some passes too. Looked allot like the Ga Tech game.
Every program wanted DJU coming out of HS... This would make a good case study to find out why some players just can't make the transition to college. Great kid and family.
Speaking about scheduling in the independence world like what Washington State and Oregon State are going through, how realistic is it that they can get the power schedule they want? Norte Dame has had it schedule process working for several decades now and when BYU was an independent, it took BYU almost a decade of independent football before they started to consistently get 5 or 6 power level teams on their schedule year after year.

Defense gets tired, when ur offense has 2 possessions and 2 three n out, when the other team has possession for 14 minutes in a quarter, that defense was gassed

Same DJU now for three straight universities. Hell of an arm. Questionable decision maker. Not too mobile. Not a field general. Florida State should have known this is what they were purchasing. Everyone else did. Nice kid though.
A lot of our failures this season has been because of DJ and his terrible quarterback play. But you also have to have a lot to the defense he was barely stopped anything from happening. Literally from Georgia tech to Boston college they have pushed our defense around and had their way especially in the run game. That's something that needs to be fixed based on coaching and not being quite so predictable. The DJ is the biggest problem on offense. He has thrown more overthrown passes or passes right in the dirt because he is not playing with any type of passion or leadership. The offense could probably move the ball on a consistent basis if they had a quarterback who read the men on the field and showed some excitement and enthusiasm in his play. DJ is not the man at this point in time.
Never would have through I would see Oregon having to go for it on 4th down with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter to get past Idaho. However, that is what happened. Does Oregon's performance against Idaho cause you to rethink your predictions this coming Saturday against Boise St?
He’s not able to provide spark but lots of blame to go around. He isn’t what a 5th year senior should be.. missing throws.. unacceptable. But so is dropping balls.
DJ was supposed to be a game manager on a team with great defense, solid o line and a tough running game. You're screwed if he has to be a game changer.
We ended up with DJU because we don’t have deep enough NIL pockets. We lost the QB we were after. That being said, what they’re doing coaching the other players is a mystery. If someone can figure that out, please inform everybody.
DJ not all to blame, of course not, but boy oh boy he's got a decent amount of blame. Tons of horrible throws for missed opportunities. One was a WIDE OPEN TD catch he overthrew.
DJU plays scared, both physically and mentally. The OC trying to protect him affects both sides of the ball. The offense isn't aggressive, and in response the defense has to be hyper-aggressive as seen with how the DC called both games this season. The problem, those highly talented defensive players on FSU already got paid, so they don't really care. Tell me you see something different on the field.
FSU, what do you expect? You picked up an nil portal whore. Go Beavers! Next, I don't care for the ex-Notre Dame coach. I'm not a USC fan either. But last night I loved watching Kelly go down. Spencer, I appreciate your commentary. I'm in the unique position of being a Oregon State alumni living 30 miles from WSU campus. Last year I had WSU season tickets. I watched the Cougs beat down the Beavers. I had an empty celebration. Both of my teams have tough games this Saturday. Let's see where this goes.
