Of course ESPN will think Texas A&M would be ranked ahead of Notre Dame, even though ND went into Kyle Field and controlled that game.....Yes, we lost to NIU the following week in a REALLY bad loss, but since then, we've had the largest margin of victory in FBS....I'm not saying we're a world beater, but we should be ahead of A&M.

The only team that is worth a damn in the entire little 10 is Oregon and when they are not playing like dipshits Ohio St. We’ll see how it all shakes out. I predict Indiana to finish the season with at least 3 losses.
Quickly questioning Texas' resume is a good start, but why is nobody questioning Tennessee's resume? Their first two "ranked" wins are against NC State and Oklahoma who are a combined 8-8, and of those 8 wins three were P4 schools in Auburn, Houston, and Cal. What else do they have? A loss against Arkansas, an OT 7 point win against a Gator team that Miami and A&M beat by 37 combined points, and a 7 point victory against an Alabama team that is unquestionably having a roller coaster year. That's definitely not better than A&Ms resume, and if you remove the conference patch from their jersey that's definitely not better than Indiana's, Pitt's, SMU's, or Boise State's resume.
Strength of Schedule is flawed. Yes good teams schedule weaker teams at the first of the year, however, they usually wind up to be blow outs in the score. Therefore the score should be in the calculation in determining if the good team should be penalized for scheduling the weak team. Everyone talks parity but the SOS doesn't take that in to its rankings.

Strength of schedule will play a huge factor in the playoffs. Oregon has a sos of 68th. And byu has sos of 55th. Iowa st. SOS is 86th. Indiana 106th sos. and Pitt 101 sos.
