This deck has become one of my favorite oracle decks! I just love how every one of the characters has such a distinct energy. Once you get to know and understand them, they become very powerful messengers. I am amazed at how accurate and helpful my readings are with it! Especially with the celtic compass spread that is described in the booklet, I have done it several times and it gave me great insights. And of course the artwork is soooo amazing!

Wow! Truly beautiful cards. I had been resisting this deck for a while, but now I think it is at the top of my wishlist. I love how the edging turned out! Actually, the Star Ancestor card is one of the cards that put it over the top for me :)

Interesting. I always appreciate your thinking process. I own this deck. I do love the season idea and separating the cards by types. I too have a thing with Angel decks but I can’t quite understand why. I own a handful of Angel decks. The drum - it’s from South Sami. The Traveler - looks more like a refugee (one forced to move)… so the meaning behind this card bothers me a little. Again, thank you for this video.
To me the traveller looks like a Bedouin.

Very nicely presented. Like you I am not so interested in Oracle decks but the beautiful artwork and the multiple themes within the deck make it very appealing. Seem like the cards themselves are also robust. Think I will likely be buying this as my first, and likely only Oracle type deck. Thanks!

@@DawnMichelleTarot Just purchased it. I think the Oracle cards are OK when used to back up readings from either a good Rider-Waite deck, or the Thoth deck. Glad I have taken a plunge to explore this one. Thanks for the very good presentation of the deck.

Someone in the comments section on another youtube review of this deck mentioned that "The stargazer looks outside himself at the heavens for answers, the Star Ancestor looks inside himself and examines what is in his soul." So with this perspective, whilst they may be visually quite close, they're both quite different. Good to keep in mind.

I share your likes and dislikes of this deck exactly! The artwork is stunning... I tend to read the cards intuitively with the message on the card as a prompt. I’m not much of a fan of the guidebook. Love your idea of using the seasons and pulling cards from the other sections to get a 16 card reading... I’m definitely going to do that spread for the upcoming Spring Equinox.... I love the feel of these cards, and like you, just pull them out to look at and soak in their beauty. I also edged mine in a matte antique gold which I love!!! Thanks for your review and insights into using this beautiful deck!
They are just a beautiful deck, I credit the artist with the success of this one. :) I hope you enjoy the 16 card reading, it's one of my favorites. I actually mix in Tarot too for a 20 card reading, it's pretty intense, but really cool. Thank you so much for watching!

@@weststartarot-Liz I generally pull a tarot card for each column, so I do a season, then a tarot card for the energy of that season, a sacred one for advice, a symbol for a tool and a guardian for a message. I do rotate them around some in the order in which I pull, but generally that's how I incorporate them.

I use them both very differently. I use the Angels as more as a focal point for readings (or for readings on its own) along with tarot. The Hedgewitch is one I use to bring clarity and clam to a busy tarot reading. I don't know if that helps any or not. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

when would be a great time to use them? can I ask the same questions I do with a tarot deck or should I ask questions personal to me?
I tend to turn to this deck more in the fall/winter but I think you can use it anytime. I think you can use it with the same time of questions you do tarot, and I always believe you should ask personal questions too! It's a great way to commune with your inner self. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

What bothers me is that FOX is the shapeshifter and the cards do not show this. This really threw me.
So strange you have such a problem with angels like having them in your deck is going to hurt you, don't worry they don't bite
It's not so much the imagery of Angels as it is the religious connotation associated with Angels that lingers from childhood. I have several angel decks in my collection my and quite enjoy them. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️
Which ones would you recommend this deck or ancestors spirit? I’m torn between them
I found ancestors spirit and got it then I found angels and ancestors and exchanged it but I still didn’t open it trying to decide which one to keep

I don’t think I have the ancestors spirit so I’m not sure how that one works. If that’s the newer one I’m thinking of I’d probably recommend it for actual ancestor work as it I think it’s a bit more in tune with that energy. The Angels and Ancestors has a bit more of an angelic energy for lack of a better terms. It’s less down to earth than the other one. So I think it depends on if you are working with actual ancestors or cosmic ancestors. Hopefully that makes sense. Sorry I could be more help. 😀
