This was written by crooner Brook Benton. Please give him a listen. His voice is like butter! Try “Rainy Night in Georgia”. He has some amazing duets with Dina Washington, as well. ✌🏽

When Beth Hart sings it's as if she reaches deep into the recesses of her soul and delivers up pure emotion along with part of her guts. She leaves me speechless when she sings and for Joe Bonamassa he does the same through his fingers; pure fire🔥

You can't go wrong with Beth + Joe! For future reactions to them, I'd suggest either (a) Beth + Joe doing "Nutbush City Limits" or (b) Beth with her own band doing "Am I The One" live at the Paradiso. With "Nutbush City Limits," you get to hear Beth and Joe rocking out in a way you haven't heard them do yet. With "Am I The One", you finally get to hear the Janis-y side of Beth's voice, see the playful side of her personality, and watch an awesome performance that captured lightning in a bottle.

I've been listening to Joe for years and -- unlike EVERY other guitarist -- he just keeps getting better. He doesn't hit a plateau and get lazy like so many others. He always is going for it.
Same with Beth. She loves what she's doing so much, and pours her heart out -- in every song -- like it's the last time she'll ever sing.

Joe is a pretty good singer on his own. You need to hear some of his stuff. I know you love Beth but he was the attraction of this duo. Beth thought he only wanted her for a couple songs because he was the draw. He to this day packs them in where ever he performs. Listen to some of his stuff. You will not be disappointed at all. You will probably be surprised at just how good he is. He has been playing and singing the blues for a L O N G time.

I love how Beth and Joe work with one another to support the song. They never show boat and you never feel like the vocals and guitar are competing for attention. Beth really dialed it back so that you got that sexy soulful feel throughout her vocals. We all know she could have dug in there and gone to town but instead she gave us some jazzy scatting and simple ad libs. When Beth turns away from the mic and screams to her guitarist "play", you know you're about to hear something incredible! This is one of my favorite live guitar solos! And it looks like Joe's almost dancing with her for a second... LOL!

Yes, most definitely I would love to have you check out each and every one of them.
For Joe, I think you both would appreciate “If Heartaches Were Nickels”.
For Beth, I think we owe Jordan the opportunity to hear Beth play the piano. I’d suggest “Leave The Light On” either from her Live At The Royal Albert Hall show, of from her Paradiso shows in Amsterdam. ❤️

Glad to see you returned to these two…both great individually but incredible together…Amber, for an upcoming Female Friday you should react to Beth Hart’s “Leave The Light On” live at London’s Royal Albert Hall (and have a box of tissues handy)…

I saw Joe at the Borgata Casino on March 18th and he was absolutely fantastic. I think you guys would enjoy listening to Joe’s idol Mr. Jeff Beck. Listen to the Jeff Beck Band playing the song “ Let Me Love You” featuring Rod Stewart as his lead singer. One of the best blues songs ever recorded.

Joe Bonamassa has a side band he plays in, Black Country Communion, songs Man in The Middle and Song of Yesterday.

Black Country Communion is a phenomenal combination of Joe, Jason Bonham, Derek Sherinian and the voice of rock - Glenn Hughes. Black Country, refers to an area of the West Midlands of England where Hughes and Bonham grew up, as did Robert Plant, members of Judas Priest. Great Suggestion Robert.

Saw them together on a blues cruise 5 years ago. They hold them every year with at least 20 other great musical acts. You get to see them up close under the stars.

Joe B is possibly one of only a handful of guitarists that could hang with SRV. You should definitely check his solo stuff out. I suggest "Mountain Time", Sloe Gin", and "The Ballad Of John Henry" for starters. Also, check out some greats from his supergroup Black Country Communion. Start with "Save Me", "An Ordinary Son", and "Song Of Yesterday". I promise these will blow you away!

I can't believe that I somehow missed this one 6 months back so very happy to have seen it at last. Watching Amber being taken to heaven is exactly how I feel when watching the two of them together. There is a chemistry and soul that is simply phenomenal. Blues at it's very best! Beth Hart's voice is incredible and Joe on guitar, well, he is a master.

This is a cover of an old Etta James` hit! Beth is the reigning Queen of the Blues and IMO now that EVH has passed Joe is the Best in the world! They were both child prodigies, Beth won star search when she was 17 and Joe graced the stage sitting side by side with BB King when he was a meer 11 years old.

Couple of quick corrections: Etta James just covered "I''ll Take Care of You"--Brook Benton wrote it and it was first recorded by Bobby Blue Bland in 1959. Beth (born in 1972) was 21 years old when she won Star Search in 1993. And don't be silly, Joe wasn't 11 when he opened for BB King--by the summer of the 1989 tour he had just turned 12.

Loved your reaction. Funny you mentioned B.B. King. Joe opened for B.B. when he was 12 or 13. They called him Smokin' Joe back then. Now we know why.
