Manhunt. a Bloody game where you brutally kill other criminals. But it's a video and it's entertaining, so I made a Side by Side for it. I hope you enjoy the History and Graphics Comparison of Hitman on Playstation 2, Microsoft Xbox, Microsoft Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Windows 10 via Steam and Modded Steam version.

Not counting the GTA,Manhunt, The Warriors and Bullt were released only during 2003-2006, what a time to be a gamer that was.
It will be insane if Rockstar makes a new Manhunt game with modern graphics. I miss this saga so much!
I've been fantasizing about it while playing Red Dead Redemption 2, it already is very gory and the detailed animations and effects make the violence very visceral. It would make a great base for a new Manhunt game.

No. Just no. I'd love a new manhunt too, but a game so sick, gory, and polemic like manhunt would not work in this times. Because the media is going to cry because "too realistic and gory" Or "games make us violent?".

For everyone who plays this on xbox go ahead and change control type to B. It makes camera control like modern games! I was about to put game down because hated how camera controlled until i tried option B

The thing that I just adore of Xbox version, is actual Dolby Digital 5.1 on game. The sounds, music and voices are stunning! Better played with a DAC via SPDIF to 3.5 jack headphones. Try it at night!

I recently started playing Manhunt 2 for the first time in a while on my bro’s old PS2
The Xbox version has a controller setup that lets you move the camera using the Right Stick. The game plays waaay better that way.

Nothing will best the PS2 original for this classic. This is a game that is meant to look bad in a good way, and the atmosphere on the PS2 is just perfection. I even have it on PS4 but I still prefer the PS2 version.
Can you elaborate more about the atmosphere on PS2 why it is better and can it be reproduced on PC? Like for example how itncan be done for GTA SA with mods, SkyGfx and others?
Anything Manhunt I’m there and it automatically gets a like. Manhunt still remains as one of the go to games for me when I can’t find something good to play. I still play it on my Xbox, I wish they had ported Manhunt 1 into the PSP I would have liked playing it on a handheld.
Now also on Xbox ONE and Series, reaching 4k 60fps.

I'm surprise how much level of detail they put to it. Like the execution mixing with the sound they make it just 100% perfect.
Not only that the atmosphere makes you feel constantly be aware of your surroundings and makes me feel scared yet hyped. Applies for the story too.
Same goes to the second game.
But i prefer this one.
It's crazy seeing this video with the added knowledge that Vadim M uncovered. Manhunt on PC has the anti piracy measures accidentally enabled.
It truly is. Actually I think it's crazy how before Vadim M's video that people thought they were bugs caused by compatibility issues. The moment an old video about Manhunt, mentions these measures by referring to them as compatibility bugs, I just can't help but say "that line and assumption didn't age well"
I don’t care what anyone says. I love Manhunt and Manhunt 2. Sounds like Rockstar changed some things from the PS2 version to the Xbox version that they thought was too much and not needing to go over board with. Like the blood.

@RookerVision - Gaming Videos It now is on Xbox One/Series X.
The thing with the headset on the console versions was also in Metal Gear Solid 4. Bluetooth headsets are supported in the game but they would only play audio from your radio support in the game.
The microphone thing is also in some Famicom games like the Japanese release of Zelda 1, where you have to shout at the Player 2 controller microphone to defeat them, but the US version made them vulnerable to arrows instead.

Despite being a notoriously violent game at the time, the idea of it that it explored a snuff film from a mind-corrupted producer/billionaire was like a predecessor to every GTA games that inspired Rockstar to make lol.
I got manhunt downloaded on my PS4 now I got it on my Xbox One cause they finally made it backwards capability along with max Payne 1,2 and 3

You can gave camera control on the xbox with the right thumb stick if you select different controller type in the options menu

I was 17 when Manhunt came out. I loved it but it definitely left you feeling icky.
Like imagine 10 years earlier I’m playing games like Sonic, FIFA, Lion King, Earthworm Jim… then this.
Had nightmares sometimes I was being chased after playing Manhunt!

The Xbox 360 was the best console of its day by far! I remember Splinter Cell was way better than the PlayStation version.

That's a bug in the game There's actually a patch for the PC version Mostly these types of old games need patches to work on modern computers

Every Rockstar game from this era is way better on the Xbox except Manhunt. Only because it looks grittier on PS2 and I think it's better that way. But for GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, The Warriors, State of Emergency, Midnight Club 2 and especially Max Payne, the Xbox versions reign supreme. They practically look like remasters compared to the PS2 versions.
Now is playable on Xbox One and Series via back compat 💅🏻

OG Xbox always wins against PS2. One of the rare cases where the opposite is true is Silent Hill 2 and that’s just cause of fog and atmosphere otherwise Xbox would have been better cause of 480p support

You can change the controls in Xbox version to alternate layout and it'll handle just like the PC version with the camera always fixed behind the character

@@RookerVision also you can patch the xbe to push widescreen as well on the original xbox just the original xbox has to be modded and with a RAM upgrade can be run in 720p 16:9 you can also force 480p just like you would force widescreen
Here's hoping this game becomes backwards-compatible on current Xbox consoles at some point soon!

Grew up playing this classic. The original is definitely superior to #2. Its a shame a new game would not be possible today with all the sensitive people in today's time.

I had the same glitch with the fence on pc steam version and I got past it after a number of tries just to get stuck again after defeating the enemy in the court
If I buy the steam version will it be able to work without changing much stuff?
@@TheL1arL1ar I think it depends on the computer you have. If it’s one of the newest computers, any of these old games have issues running on these things. Max Payne 1, Max Payne 2, Spider-Man, GTA 3, GTA Vice City and whole number of others. Games like this weren’t meant to run on Windows 10 and other newer systems.
@@asianafghan131 Yeah I found out with max Payne 1…and condemned criminal origins suffer from audio issues normally on my windows 11 laptop. That being said I just started playing tomb raider anniversary, (a ps2 title originally) and it runs great, I’m shocked as well and it also reads the Xbox controller while supporting rumble.
Mod it with ermaccer's mod let's you run wide-screen with modern resolution and 60fps
There is one reason why we never got Manhunt 3 it’s because of all the controversial stuff in the two games and if they did a third game they would have to deal with the controversial stuff again and rockstar would not want that
