Finally, that’s because Goku added his power and Vegeta fired a distraction shot. Goku and Vegeta obliterated Cell multiple times before this fight, but does that make them stronger? No.
The visuals and everything is so amazing and well done! I especially love the super saiyan hair in this. It's more than just blonde, it looks golden too!

After all he's been through, I'm pretty sure Gohan's more than earned the right to live a relatively peaceful, happy life with Videl and Pan. ❤ And it's not like he's never going to fight again. He's still going to help when he feels like he's needed. 😊 And besides, l personally think it's better if his father Goku was the hero, fighting to get stronger and going off to save the world instead of him.
Grinding? He's lvl 50 with gohan in beginning here. I was 54. Didn't grind at all. The occasional chichi cooking exp boost helps. But i didn't use it much in this and android saga cause chichi was gone for most of it. Gohan just skyrocketed weirdly enough without it. Piccolo was my highest at 48 at the end of Android saga while gohan was 45 and goku 46 and gohan still went to 52 when i got full control of him while he didn't get much screentime while goku leveled up slower even though he got more. So yeah i don't think this guy grinded that much.
Playing this game is like seeing the anime and Playing budokai tenkaichi 3 at the same time, The developers did a great work, I felt was about to scream like a child when he did his powerfull kamehameha, it was wonderfull. :D

As much as I love this game and they pretty much nailed everything in these fights from top to bottom. At the same time there are a lot of moments where they missed some of the most important details. It's funny cause you don't want to come off like a nerd but in this scene particular. I just wish they would've kept the part when Gohan walked with the Kamehameha. That part was so monumental. That was the moment when Gohan stepped into that stratosphere of what he really was all along. Out of everyone who had use the Kamehameha up to that point, even the great Goku had never shown that type of feat. Every martial arts like movie has that moment when the main character finally learns what shows they're the one. Hence, Neo's moment when he finally sees the code of the Matrix and is able to slow down the bullets just by sticking out his hand.
Exactly how I felt when they skipped Vegeta's Final Flash and Ultra Super Saiyan Trunks fights. I get it, limited budget but the Cell Saga doesn't give me a full taste of nostalgia since they missed these moments that helped make the fights better.

I'd love a video game where it follows the original timeline where everyone dies and trunks is too late to help gohan. And other timelines explained. New dialogue, new music, new memories, and some adapted material.
I know right? A bit of a shame, I would of loved to see what Gohan would of been like as an adult, who he would of married and what his life would of been. But Toriyama was smart to end DBZ here before here and that was for the better. Gohan’s development into the main character is fully compete, Goku isn’t brought back because the author randomly decides that Gohan wasn’t fit to be the main character dispite all of Z proving that wrong. And the value of Ssj1 and Ssj2 aren’t completely ruined by some new Long haired trasfromtion that after one hit or miss arc will forever be useless. Oh, and thank god to kids don’t just turn ssj1 with no effort at all.

We can see at the 18:15 mark that there actually is an in-game model for Gohan in his base form post-HTC. It also appears earlier in this chapter right before Gohan fights Goku for the second time and again right after.Not sure why it's not playable during the Interlude after the Cell Games. Gohan reverts to his base form immediately after defeating Cell, and he's still in his base form when Trunks returns to the future, just like in the anime and manga. But when we take control of Gohan again, he's back in his Super Saiyan form, and with this weird explanation that he wanted his body to get used to it a bit more...
Actually half breed saiyans are in fact stronger than full pledge saiyan. The problem is that because of gohan's human gene is the reason why he never gets the true potential he deserve. Unlike full pledge siayans like goku and vegeta who are battle hungry and always wants to train and fight that's why they were able to catch up and gain new transformation because of their love for battle.

Jazz, Funk etc. that he choose for the Budokai games fit Dragonball Z SOO will. He even had Tower Of Power an old school band from the 70's do the music/work together (I assume) for Budokai 2! Awesome.
