I grew up with this dude and we hung out alot in middle school. He was obsessed with rollercoasters, so I'm happy he was doing what he was passionate about.
He'll be blamed for the fall and claim he didn't follow safety rules while climbing it. they have to save their own butts or it could cost them a lot of money. I bet there aren't any cameras where he was climbing so it will be easy to blame him
Do the workers not wear a harness when climbing the rides for safety checks? That's as bad as a tight rope walker without a net to fall in. Terrible. I used to love these places and there wasn't a ride I wouldn't try. I'm so relieved nothing failed when I was present, for everyone's sake. I stopped riding when I was pregnant with my daughter, about 20 years ago. My friends and then husband wanted us to ride the drop ride, the kind the 14 yo just fell from. This was at six flags of Texas. I kept making a huge negative reaction about that one. "What if doesn't stop and crashes into the ground?"! I refused and I guess that made them forget it. 3 months later, I found out I was in my first 4 weeks of pregnancy there and I wondered if that ride was enough to cause a miscarriage. So glad I never got on it.
From the video i see that the seats are very small so if somebody passes out on the ride they might fall to their death due to the lack of safety measures preventing people from falling out
The sky flyer has been here much longer than the free fall so of course they wouldn’t take down a 400+ ft tall ride just to replace it with another ride that’s a bit taller. A swing tower at that
I don't know if anybody saw what I saw in this video but at the end of the ride a gentleman and a black T-shirt was yelling get me out get me out. Before the operator can even push that yellow button which I take it releases everyone from their chairs that one guy with that black T-shirt managed to lift up his harness prior to that button being pushed so how is that even possible for him to get out unless it wasn't secured for everyone else!
right?? because at the other sling shot ride in Orlando, which is owned by the same company as icon park, two people almost died last year I think it was? but thankfully that accident turned out ok. two accidental deaths and a near death, all of which seem to be caused by the rides being designed badly/cheap management. smh I really agree they should at least shut down for a year or two and replace all the thrill rides with new ones from a more trustworthy manufacturer

If this is true, I’m so sorry :( this park seems very unsafe
@@arinewstoday3477 it really is first the wheel that got stuck, the swing and now the free fall drop death
Reporter : some random lady , could you give us an interview about this.
Right? They couldn't find witness or a coworker or something?
It's not uncommon to get some random persons perspective..
That is horrible. God bless that poor man, and his family. What happened to his life line. Get a good lawyer.

A 14 year old felled of a ride at this same park
Different ride same park tho
O yea true I was just saying it in general
why is this random woman being interviewed who has nothing to do with it?
From the video i see that the seats are very small so if somebody passes out on the ride they might fall to their death due to the lack of safety measures preventing people from falling out
How ironic to see this comment after the latest tragedy
@@more6326 Completely different ride
Not possible
Why was worker not using safety lanyard? Why was ladder not enveloped to prevent large falls?
So did the worker die on this ride then they replace it with free fall that killed that sweet 14yr old boy?
The swing ride is still there, sadly. The 14 year old died on the free fall that opened in December:(

Oh hell no. I’m not ever getting on a crazy ride like that.
It’s just a swing ride...?
Yeah me either that's nuts
He wasn’t on the ride
My point is that if the trained safety inspector dies checking it out then no I don’t want anything to do with it
Not worth the risk people die on rides more than ever before from heights
Ok how many times must History repeat its self before they do something about the safety conditions
The ride wasn’t even operating. He was performing maintenance on it.
wasnt a ride issue
It wasn't the rides fault. You guys sound ignorant af
It just happened again

I didnt notice that. I'll have to go back and look.
Are you talking about the drop tower?…..
what
Poor baby
R.I.P Jacob
Why wouldn’t he wear a harness though
RIDES ARE DANGEROUS
A couple deaths in a year now there
21 year olds are like teenagers. they think they are supermen
I'll be 50 this year..I still think AND feel like Superman!
Ur not funny he died because he fell im litterally at a hotel where he fell at
No he didn't think he was superman, he was doing a job he was told to do..pay attention Patrick
that's why I don't go on these stupid rides
That’s stupid. The ride wasn’t even operating. He was performing maintenance on it.
Someone didn't pay attention during the video
Atp close the park down

@@stinky59 lol no, the whole park doesn’t need to be closed. Just take these rides down. It’s mainly a shopping plaza anyways.
omg I just went on it yesterday
GOD IS GOOD AMEN
400 ft ride ? That's super dangerous .
It is not at all dangerous. Why would you say that?
GP
i went on it when it first opened
Omg this happened on my boyfriends birthday
That's a pretty messed up birthday with from you boyfriend
i bet he wasnt in his harness or not wearing it corretly
I don't know or think it was because of that
So sad.
But also, why are masks on these people so loose? 🤦🏽♀️
You worry about the mask more than the guy death . Wow
Black Angell Nope, both equally.
Same person John stine this is come bs
Almost got ejected from a roller coaster mid loop
No. That’s virtually impossible.
