Omg. Super cute. We camp a lot. I think I will make many squares with different colors of campers to make me a camper throw. To use out side my the fire. Thanks for sharing and have a bless day 💕❤️️💕
I love it! I grew up camping. Shortly after my husband and I got married (in 2007), we got a motor home we used a lot, until my health got bad. Great memories.
That would be cool! It would probably size down in half if you used a size 2.5 mm hook and sock weight (size 1) yarn! That would make it about 6 inches ... not a bad coaster size!
Lisa, I am actually quite comfortable in winter, even with 4 feet of snow outside. The snow, actually helps to insulate and keep the camper warm, along with propane and an electric heater. We keep the temp inside at around 67 and cover up with the blankets I made a few years back, so we do stay comfortable. 😉
This is awesome!!! I am going to add this to my list of things to crochet. Thanks for being such a great and fun teacher!!! I've said it before but you have a great camera. The detail in this video is amazing!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I was going to search for a vintage trailer pattern this morning and thought I would check to see if by any chance you would have a tutorial for one … low and behold … woo how!! You are the best!!
I also like the green camper trailer very much ., 👍the only difference I might do is I might make a chain for the doorway on the camper trailer and I'm going to sew it on I don't want my work showing on the back. Your crochet friend Sue 💕
I would've never guessed that either, not in my wildest dreams . but super cute !!! I'm trying to think of what color to make mine ? Maybe a tan thank you Jayda this calendar square blanket is a lot of fun anticipating what the next square will be . Have a great day ! your crochet friend Sue💕
I made it!!! And it’s adorable 😊 I just used size 10 crochet cotton and a size 7 hook. Would you mind if I share it on my RUclips channel and my blog? I would link your video and your Etsy page for the pattern!!
Hi Jayda, That is so Cute !! I Love it !! 🤗 I will definitely make one for my mom and myself 😍with different colors also !! Thanks for the video ! I Love your sweet & funny personality!! Plus your videos are so entertaining! All the props and fun extra graphics!! 👍
LOVE vintage :) I love this little camper in so many colour combos :) Lemon yellow and white, fire engine red and white, mint and white, baby blue and white....!
I love this camper square! Do you have a tent pattern? I would love to make a throw with campers and tents. If you don't have one, do you think you could come up with a tent pattern?
I think the Trailer is great almost finished putting on the door and door window lol haha it was so much fun.watching makes it looks so easy but yu do a good job explaining things and I like that would love to show you but dont now how to post pic. on your sight Happy Stitchen haha
Omg, what did u get me into now?. I’m working on 6 of these granny squares! I’m making a blanket or throw with those granny squares. I enjoy your views!. 😀😳
I made one! Just finished it! I’m sending it to my sister for her birthday in a couple days. I also crocheted a back to put on it and some little chains that she could hang it with. How can I send you the pictures so you can see it? Thanks for doing this she loves campers! Her whole decorating theme is campers.
Hi Jacqueline, that sounds wonderful! You can share photos with us on Instagram, Twitter, Etsy and Pinterest (we're at Jayda InStitches in all 4 locations!) Just be sure to tag us so we are sure to see it :)
How cute!!!! Could you please please please do a cute little Jeep granny square? Like either a cute profile of a Jeep like this, or maybe the grill and round lights? I am in love with your cute granny squares!
Hi Jayda... do you have a suggestion for a plain square... I just want to switch out July for a plain one in Red , White and Blue. I want to make sure it will be the same size though. Any suggestions? Thank you!
Hi Rosanna, yes! You can work rows 1 through 9 all in the same colour before adding the border 😊 We have a written pattern for a plain square that matches these 12" Fancy Grannies in our Etsy shop too! If you want to check it out you can visit our shop here: www.etsy.com/ca/shop/JaydaInStitches
would it be possible, when making the wheel, to make the center circle, and instead of making two separate pieces, just continue with the second color instead of binding off? love your channel so much. I look forward to your videos every week. 💜💜💜💜
How bout a camp fire. That would be neat too. Little logs and flames. We camp alot too so I'm making this as a throw too, think I will add the sunshine one in it too.
I'm having a bit of trouble with getting the correct number of stitches on each side...I think I messed up on the corners on the actual trailer and now the count is off. I am determined to persevere... Thank goodness for the stop/start option (little embarrassing how often I use it)!
So creative!!! Only u Jayda, could come up with something like this lol Love it 😍 & now making a guess for the Sept square....an apple with a cute worm?? Cnt wait!! 😊👍🏻🤗🤗🤗
Hi Diane, that's a wool needle, I love it and it's really easy to thread up. You can find links on our website to purchase a set (the link is in the description box). When you get to jaydainstitches.com, click on the SHOP page and scroll through the items, we have a couple of sets showing there, one of them is coloured :)
My guesses for other months: September: fall leaf October: Halloween pumpkin November: turkey December: either a Christmas tree, presents, or a Christmas tree with presents under it.
Jayda InStitches I think September would be an apple for a teacher October will be a pumpkin and November will be a turkey and December a Christmas tree ,, just my thought,
Hello Jayda , thank you for the beautiful August trailer square, I had no idea what it would be and I'm super excited with what you have come up with. I have a question do you think if I make a solid color square like the March square and then add the trailer and wheel as an applique will that work I don't want anything to be visible on the backside of my blanket. I am excited to get started make my blanket squares so I look forward to hearing from you. I can't believe we have only four more months to go before we are finished making our calendar blankets. Thanks Jayda
Hi Deborah, someone else mentioned they didn't want the lines on the back of their square, so they're going to make the chain frame separately and then just sew that on. That might save you a little time (and yarn!) instead of making the whole thing an applique :)
Hello Jayda, I think that's a good idea to just make chain trim and attach it. I am making two blankets and that will save time and material. WIsh me well on this, now all I have to do is decide on the color of my vans. Oh my just so many decisions. lol
Hi Leeanne, welcome to the woolly world of crochet and thank you for watching! We sell patterns for many of the unique designs we create here on the show in our Etsy shop :)
Jayda InStitches--I love this square, and I'm completely impressed that you came up with an idea for August. I had nothing. :/ Thinking ahead to October, I hope you'll consider an arched black cat with yellow eyes. :)
LOVE it Jayda! any change in color suggestions? would like to change my trailer and background color because I"m trying to make my squares in different background colors but I"m not a camper LOL.. TIA xoxo
Thank you Carol; I am from the Midwest and folks here do a lot of camping and hunting; so, I thought the cornmeal would give it a woodsy or Summer Solstice look too. I post my squares on Instagram and follow Jayda there too; would love to see other's share their work too; xo
Hi Jayda! I decided on a pretty Jade with White but I couldn't find a darker grey like you have; so, I'm taking a Heather Grey and bringing in a small strand of Silver with for the outline on the trailer itself but I'm sticking with the Cornmeal background base. Hoping my imagination works LOL. I been giving Hearts to your IG posts. TYFS always xoxo
How do you know, or what determines, whether the turning chain counts as a stitch or not, thereby knowing whether or not you will work in to the first stitch?
Hi Katherine! It depends on the pattern/designer and the individual crocheter. I use turning chains as stitches rather than using "standing DCs" or "standing SC" for example, because I find chaining at the end of a row faster, thinner and easier to keep the tension correct. If the turning chains stand in for the stitch, then you skip using the first stitch of the row (what was the last stitch made in the previous row) because the chains count as the stitch, or stand in for it, in the place that the first stitch of the row would be made. If you chain and ALSO work a stitch into the same place, it will bulge out the side of the work. Turning chains are used to bring your work up to the right height as it's neighbour stitches too. So if you're using DC (which most of these squares use) then I usually use a chain 3, but if your tension is loose, you might find a ch-2 to be a better fit, either way, the turning chains still stand in for the DC st. I hope that helps!
This is absolutely the cutest motif so far.
* giggle * Thank you! I LOVE this one :)
I love this .your a fabulous teacher .Thank you

I'd love to downside this pattern to make some matching sets of coasters for the inside of our camper!! ❤️😁
That would be cool! It would probably size down in half if you used a size 2.5 mm hook and sock weight (size 1) yarn! That would make it about 6 inches ... not a bad coaster size!

lol. I live in a 24 foot travel trailer! I'm an old hippie. Even have crochet curtains.
Reta, mine is 34 foot and we live in ours out of necessity, after losing our house. So we, understand. Happy crocheting.
Reta Gorman cool!
super fun, jealous! although, maybe not in the dead of winter, tho :-)
Hi Reta! LOVE that!! Especially the curtains!!

I also like the green camper trailer very much ., 👍the only difference I might do is I might make a chain for the doorway on the camper trailer and I'm going to sew it on I don't want my work showing on the back. Your crochet friend Sue 💕
Hi Sue, you can totally do that :) Sewing on a chain will give one some more directional control too, especially if anyone is new to surface chaining!
Jayda InStitches thank you 👍
Jayda, I love love love your tutorials and I am especially loving this calendar blanket! Thank you!!!
Hi Cheryl! We're so glad you're enjoying it :) Thank you for watching!

OMG I did wonder if it would be a trailer! Jays it is AMAZING! well done and thank you for creating it x
Thank you Aimee! :)
would it be possible, when making the wheel, to make the center circle, and instead of making two separate pieces, just continue with the second color instead of binding off?
love your channel so much. I look forward to your videos every week. 💜💜💜💜
Hi Pattie, you can certainly try out your wheel idea, keep all your stitches single crochets and it shouldn't be too large :) Thank you for watching!
How bout a camp fire. That would be neat too. Little logs and flames. We camp alot too so I'm making this as a throw too, think I will add the sunshine one in it too.
HI Carolyn, Thank you for the suggestion! :)
I'm having a bit of trouble with getting the correct number of stitches on each side...I think I messed up on the corners on the actual trailer and now the count is off. I am determined to persevere... Thank goodness for the stop/start option (little embarrassing how often I use it)!
Hi Pam! That pause button is the best!! There aren't too many DIY videos that I can grasp all at once ;) Thank you for watching!
so neat
So creative!!! Only u Jayda, could come up with something like this lol

Hello Jayda ,
thank you for the beautiful August trailer square, I had no idea what it would be and I'm super excited with what you have come up with. Hello Jayda,
I think that's a good idea to just make chain trim and attach it. I am making two blankets and that will save time and material. WIsh me well on this, now all I have to do is decide on the color of my vans. Oh my just so many decisions. lol
awesome thanks
Hi Jayda. As a relatively new crocheter I love your channel & tutorials. Have you ever thought of selling kits for the items you make?
Hi Leeanne, welcome to the woolly world of crochet and thank you for watching! We sell patterns for many of the unique designs we create here on the show in our Etsy shop :)

I"m thinking a Sea Mint and Creme Camper and Cornmeal background hmmm LOL. XO
Cynthia, that sounds pretty. Like a camper on the beach or in the desert.
Thank you Carol; I am from the Midwest and folks here do a lot of camping and hunting; so, I thought the cornmeal would give it a woodsy or Summer Solstice look too. I post my squares on Instagram and follow Jayda there too; would love to see other's share their work too; xo

I got 73 stitches is that ok plz let me know

Is there a written pattern for this?
Hi Rhonda, yes, we have written copies available in our Etsy shop :) Thank you for watching!
@@JaydaInStitches Yes it does. Thanks so much. You guys are so wonderful and always the biggest help!! :)
By the way, I totally forgot to mention that I love that camper so much!
