- This song is from ELO's second to last album ZOOM. I took the song from the CD and widened the stereo sound field and expanded the dynamic range. I then remastered it for best possible sound without the in your face and muddy sound of the original. Please tell me what you think. i hope you enjoy this version and the video I created!

Jeff Lynne’s has been fantastic for years and now this song it’s magnificent.👌👌🗽
No one musically above.... period! - for 50 years!!!
50 years anniversary next year. LOOK at his concerts.... granparents dancing with gran-children! EPIC!
December 2022 and this song is so awesome. Long live Jeff Lynne's ELO!!!
My God, Jeff Lynne sure knows how to win a person's heart with his music. This is a talent that it underappreciated, this should have been rightfully a hit single.
ALWAYS make my eyes wet.
Songs like melting in the sun, twilight and many others are,to my own perspective the songs of a mystic, someone who wants to rise as high as possible emotionaly. .Woman in his songs can be seen as his soul or emotional side( Car gustav Jung).Stranger on a quiet street can the be translated in the mystical love experience of the unknown .The un -identified flying object (quiet...)that enters our life when where opened to the un-known and lifts us up !
One thing always remains constant and that is Jeff Lynne's amazing voice......he is the best around, even now!
now and then
I really enjoyed Zoom - I thought that the songs were very strong. I personally think it ranks close to other ELO albums of note. I like it much better than Discovery - the sound gets him back to Face the Music. State of Mind, A Long Time Gone, very strong.
Magic is the word for this beautiful song it’s different from what you normally hear but you cannot help love Jeff’s voice.🤟🤘🤟🤘👉🌹☘️🍀
Just a moment in paradise with Jeff's wonderful voice!!!!
Jeff leaves me no other options here: crying tears filled with melancholia.
A wonderful song from an album full of wonderful songs. Zoom is one of the best Jeff ever produced and I was always puzzled and astonished that it didn't result in several huge hits! Thanks for posting.....appreciate the subtle but effective work on the audio!
I'm really happy to have been able to be listening to the ELO albums when they originally came out, the first being Discovery from 1979. I think other listeners can agree that Jeff Lynne simply doesn't want filler tracks on his records, and that means that the first time listening experience is overwhelming to say the least. 'Zoom' has that same feel to it. I remember listening to track 1 (Alright) and thought it was solid, but then came 'Moments in Paradise' and blew my away. And that was just the start..
I am in paradise when I hear this kind of music!
Armchair Theatre, Zoom and Alone In The Universe are pretty much the same. Timeless! ;) One of our greatest songwriters, unfortunately not recognized often enough.
He is WIDELY recognized. Read a little.
Sadly people don't understand
It's brilliant! I love it! You know I life now in Asia. In Greece and Germany I was listening only to Thai music...now I'm listening only to ELO!
Yes ! The Sound is excellent !
Love this song. Never heard of it til NYC 91.1 played it last week. Thanks for the upload. Been constantly playing it.
One of my favorite tunes! 😘😎❤️
Wow. What a difference from the original. Its hard to get used to the distance of the vocals (vs the in-your-face vocals of the original), but I like it. I could not say which one I like more, however the instrumentation on this version sounds very clean & clear. Nice job. Do some more :)
Zoom was an underrated album.
But I think Jeff Lynne made a mistake by doing that album almost all by himself.
I would have sounded better for sure by doing a drummist, keyboard player, bass player adding to Jeff Lynne himself
However tho songs themselves were mainly good.
on this track, Ringo Starr is playing drums. He also played (and counted off) on Easy Money.
I thought that Zoom was stronger than Discovery (I used to call it Disco very). Yes, there is Midnight Blue, but some of the other songs are Disco-y. I love classic ELO, but I also thought that Zoom was exceptionally strong.
I used to love the 1979 Discovery album at the time it was released. Now it's just another disco album for me, except for the the songs 'Confusion' and 'Don't Bring me Down'. I think that latter track was made over the top by Jeff to end all disco tracks. That track has a very heavy sound, thanks to the guitars.. It's like Jeff is inventing a new genre, maybe heavy disco? Anyway, it proves Jeff can do and write almost anything.. I mean, what is left.. Opera maybe?
I just don't get why some people seem to believe that "disco" always implies inferior or bad music. That's silly and wrong.
Nice job on the mix, sounds fantastic !
Magic work! Thx so much!
"Moment in Paradise" y "Strange Magic" para mi son las canciones más inspiradas que muestran a Jeff Lynne completamente enamorado. Bueno, su musa era la rubia de al lado, hermosa y suertuda mujer. (Rosie Vela)
Beautiful!
Beatifull song I love it 🌹❣
One of my favorites! I do wonder though if Rosie' Mic was even turned on? I don't hear her.
Klasse !!!
Now I know I am not alone seeing the people who love his songs and ELO. Back then I didn’t have the Internet.
Ty pravdu govorish!
Kajetan Chrumps
Jeff is beyond belief god bless welcome to the new world
Awesome job, dude. Well done.
This is the favorite song of my uncle r.i.p, This amazing, and beutiful.
Jeff deserves more !
1:52😢👍
Great song out of time...on other planets this song was a huge hit & according to a certain Alien from Roswell, New Mexico..the album has sold over 2 hundred billion copies...Truth is Jeff Lynne is amazing & whomever may currently be the flavor of the month or year in popular music they would do well to study how well he crafts a song like this one..he's brilliant
Thanks, Elvis! You're totally right.
Well... Ima SuperPerson can say what he wants but i love this sound ! Whatever you do ...
I think Jeff Lynne should have shared instruments with other people. I don´t mean he was a bad drummer but a co operation makes always a better result.
I miss Bev Bevan´s drumming here.
The Best track from a very ordinary ELO album, although its arguably a Jeff Lynne solo album..a long way from the glory days of the original band..who apart from a guest appearence from Richie Tandy are not present here...the album is mainly played out by jeff lynne (instrumently) apart from guest appearences from Tandy, Lynnes drinking buddy Ringo starr and the odd wilbury..in fairness it sounds more wilburyesque than ELO...enough said...this is a great song though..heres to a proper reunion..
George Harrison in slide
The fact that this album didn't bring ELO and Jeff back to the forefront of popular music again said to me that we, as a society, have moved backwards artistically.
It last happened when the tribes of Europe destroyed the Roman Empire. We now live in an era of music that is like flat paintings. No depth. No color. No feeling.
I know there are other excellent bands out there, but when songs like this aren't recognized, we might have failed.
Amazing range .
+movejefflynnelo I LOVE this version better than the one on the CD. Thankyou for posting!! Such a wonderful song!!
Love this song for the first time 👍💕
good work....well done !
From 0.03 to 0.12, whatever is being said, I can only understand the words forever and ever....or that’s what it sounds like. Does anyone understand all of it?
This clearly is" the Jeff Lynne" posting upgrades of his songs from Zoom & seeing how he has always been a perfectionist it makes perfect sense ...Jeff the upgrades sound great, I love this song & Just for Love, & listening to you on YOU TUBE is my moment in paradise...
Z wdzięczności za łagodzenie trudnych dni w młodości i uszlachetnianie twórczych dni teraz, wezmę członków i fanów ELO do wiecznego raju
Speechles....
The song is good. Sorry, but the video does not match or synch.
the remastering is very good, its sounds superb! My congratulations to movejefflynnelo, good job
you are exactly right abo0ut moving backwards. we are doing in on a lot of fronts. half the country is a flock of sheep headed toward a cliff.
What is there not to love about this song? Another winner is Don't Say Goodbye off Armchair Theatre.
there is nothing better than the original...
Very nice tune ... your remaster is great .. no muddiness. I've never heard the composition till now ... but was an ELO fan in HSchool (1977) ... what year was this released?
Great song but underrated.
@trap0001
I think you are right. But because I am an avid ELO fan but not a perfect English speaker. Could you translate some vocoder voices in Out of the Blue.
There are a lot of them. Believe Me Now, Big Wheels, The Whale.
What do the vocoders in the background say ? Also other strange voices are available.
I never felt Zoom was anything worthwhile. It didn't have the emotional grip that Time or Secret Messages have or some of the fun and humour that Out of The Blue and Discovery have. I have to agree with trap0001@FinnMove, it would have been better if Jeff had just called it Armchair Theatre 2.
Lovely!
Great song. I dedicate this song to my Twin Georg . Some how writes songs that resonate to Georg and my situation.
🫠🌬🌫🌌🌠💫🙏💫
yes look at a hear the sirons
maybe we will hear more when Jeff Lynne
realises his new solo album !
Magic you know.
you are exactly right abo0ut moving backwards. we are doing in on a lot of fronts. half the country is a flock of sheep headed toward a cliff.
everything in your face and no reverb is a trademark of jeff´s sound,I really liked it,sounds great, fine job pal.thanks.
why dub the album version over the live version ???????
Did the original sound so bad? I never noticed :/
ReneeNme...i accept your apology...have a great day
Wow, that's a bit like re-writing someones book or making stereo mixes out of Beach Boys tunes. Extending the dynamic range didn't offer much to the charm of Jeff Lynn's work. He has a unique narrow field way to produce. Boo.
One of the last, of the best.
🎶✂️😎👍
He did though, Ringo Starr on at least 1 track as drummer (Easy Money if memory serves).
Ringo is the drummer of the studio version of this song.
Nice job! Thanks!
@ourmandan : 2005
So lovely.
no shit!!
Muy bueno.
@ourmandan ZOOM album 2001
In other words, you made it sound TERRIBLE.
My Senny HD-650's hate you right now.
Sorry, but there is nothing you can do to a CD quality digital to make it Audiophile quality. Just not. I have a PL-1000 Pioneer that, if it played this on Mastered Vinyl, would literally break your brain. This is just a digital "enhancement", and it sounds less real - not more. My advice is invest in some real analog equipment and hear what you've been missing. Start by throwing out the CDs. Or just use them in the car.
Great song, the film's out of sync though with the sound, too bad!
@FinnMove - I think passing Zoom off as an ELO album was the main gripe, certainly was mine. If he called it Armchair Theatre II by JHeff Lynne then I wouldn't have had a problem with it. But ELO, no sir.
