    Ihsahn is the man that brought to the world the sophisticated black metal music by the band called emperor, since 2006 he has a solo career, i think he has great ideas in his solo albums like the crazy sax solos from the album from 2010, the album is called after, this song is fantastic, thanks ihsahn.

    Is a delicate thing
    The tension preceding
    The bow and the string
    It's just how you phrase it
    It's not what you mean
    The art of precision
    Will keep your cuts clean
    Until the day
    You're faced with a beast
    That no one can tame
    Until the day
    You're caught in a storm
    Of what you became

    Blood on the ground
    Washing away with the rain
    The rain
    Away with the rain

    Is a balancing act

    Believe and deny
    All truth is simple
    Is that not doubly a lie?

      I'm a fan stuck in all their older original classics. I'd rather hear brutally heavy over clean vocals/riffs any day but this is still an awesome song. I feel its age when you finally get paid and have families why sweat it but maybe this is the stuff they enjoy these days.

    • @PopLucian90
      @PopLucian90 4 года назад +4

      @@albanodirosa Still, I would point out that none of them are going in a 'heavier' direction. More progressive, more melodic, yeah - but heavier? Doesn't seem like it to me.
      Even Lindemann goes in a different direction - but still not as heavy as Rammstein. Mastodon, while preserving their main idea and sound, write much more melodic songs. Leprous, which used to incorporate growls on Tall Puppy Syndrome - but now they're the definition of clean and polished.
      I'm actually trying to raise the issue that none of them developed in a heavier direction. I mean, Devin throws those blast beats heavier than ever on lullabies, but overall speaking, it's not 'heavier'. For fresh heavy stuff, you'd need to listen to newer bands. I'm thinking Dark Fortress, Alkaloid, Jinjer - yeah, I know, European examples.

    • @albanodirosa
      @albanodirosa 4 года назад

      @@PopLucian90 well most of those bands started writing heavy music so they usually explore unknown territory (be it progressive/melodic/etc), while Mastodon for example is a completely different band if you compare Leviathan to latest releases, Ihsahn released Telemark last year and is quite heavy. But I agree if you want to hear something heavy and fresh you should look into newer bands

      @@gst9325 Ha ha. That is some great advice that the internet and cancel culture as a whole could take a look at. I like that I'm challenged in this way by this artist. It's true what you say. What's even more, the internet articles for public figures tend to highlight only controversial or bad things about people, so I really have nothing to shape my view of an artist than their current music (reflecting their current personality) and very tiny snippets of whatever public information is available.
      If people only knew me based on the bad or controversial stuff I'd ever done in my younger days, I would really feel cheated. You make a great point!
