When you do 2, the logs falling off the truck they tried real logs, but logs don't bounce, so they had to CGI, them but the whole car pile up was done for real with real cars and trucks. You got to see that one.

It’s wrong for people to criticize you about not recognizing or mentioning familiarity with actors/actresses. I tend to know more about the cast in films myself, yet I don’t blast reactors I watch based on their commentary regarding them. I know Devon Sawa, Ali Larter and Kerr Smith outside of FD. Agent Weine played by Daniel Roebuck, he was the Medevac Commanding Officer in We Were Soldiers which you previously reacted to. Agent Schreck played by Roger Guenveur Smith was Rudy in Malcolm X, which you use the “brother starving” meme from in your uploads. So I assume you’ve seen that at some point prior. I’m not going to break your balls over such things. It’s dumb. These people are way past the point of needing to touching grass. You don’t deserve such baseless nonsense leveled for your work.
All horror movies are designed to try and make you afraid of something, but this franchise makes you afraid of everything, and it does it so well. Also, can we all agree that William Bludworth is the best character?
"F**k you Hedwig" made me laugh so hard. You really can't stop at the first movie. The entire franchise is an experience. The second movie's opening scene is absolutely epic and iconic in the true meaning of the word. That scene will never be forgotten as it has traumatized an entire generation. You have to watch the whole franchise even if the 4th movie is terrible, the 5th movie made up for it in a big way.
The log scene has left an everlasting impression on me. I was 8 years old when FD2 came out and I’m about to be 28. I still avoid being next to, behind and beside any 18 wheeler, especially one carrying logs. Thank god I rode every roller coaster I could ride early on, cause now I don’t even mess wit roller coasters lmao.
@@donnyouttheway4091 I don’t drive but I know what you mean about roller coasters. I’ve never been a roller coaster since watching the third final destination. Course I never been a fan of most roller coasters because they go up and look at the loop and that makes me sick.
Tony Todd's mortician character is never confirmed to be death or not. A very heavily speculated character, some theorize he is Death giving false hope to the victims, and others say he may be a guardian angel genuinely trying to beat death but is always one step behind.
Sadly though, the producers have already confirmed that the Mortician, also named William Bludworth, is not Death himself. What I think is that Bludworth is either an ally/agent of Death (perhaps giving survivors fake ways to cheat death in exchange for his life to be spared) or he is one of, if not THE, only person who has ever cheated death for so many years and has gotten away with it. All in all, he’s not Death, but he certainly has a layer of mystery to his motives.
What makes Mell’s video perfect is when he inserts himself in the movie and it actually feels like he’s in the movie. Never stop doing that! Yes do all the films, the best ones are the first and second one!!!
The franchise is definitely worth continuing. In the following sequels (except 4), the deaths become more creative and over-the-top. Excellent reaction as always!
@@TheKyrix82 I find some of the deaths to be entertaining, but I thought the movie was weakened by the flat acting, lackluster CGI and a script that didn't bring much originality to the franchise. Though no disrespect anybody that enjoys it.
@@TheKyrix82 I mean it's enjoyable in a "it's so bad that it's fun to watch kind of way" but objectively it's weaker than the rest of the movies in pretty much every aspect. It has weak characters, the weakest premonition, the worst acting, and terrible CGI due to them making it for 3D. We don't connect with almost any of the characters. We just see them die. All the movies are a bit cheesy, but the 4th one is a whole new level. It just has a completely different vibe than the rest of the franchise.

I hope you choose to watch the rest, their really fun, even if they'll mess up your ability to relax during mundane events lol.
I think the saddest thing about these movies is that no matter how much they fight throughout it even if they survive the movie death will still end up getting them later. No one can outrun Death forever. By the way the 2nd one is my favorite.
Who said it needed to be horror? 🤷🏾♂️ these are more dark comedy thrillers imo. I wish there was a genuine way cus then it would feel like there was an actual goal instead of just watching death play with its food XD

Btw the song that keeps playing in this film is by John Denver, who died in a plane crash. Also the movie is based off a planned episode for X-Files that ended up getting canned but then turned into this movie, hence the whole detectives being present in this movie and the suspicious activity of Alex. Also that episode (and this movie's) plane crash is based off a real crash, TWA 800 which blew up over New York back in the 90s due to faulty wiring, killing everyone onboard. Some of the footage from the search and rescue team on the water is shown in this movie as part of the "searching" shown on the TV.
Hey Mell I don't know if it was said in the comments before me, but one of the brilliant ideas of the film is that each death is in reality announced, by little "easter eggs" if we can saying it like this: Todd dies by hanging. I loved this movie! It totally shook me the first time I saw it and still like it for that. It was the first time I had seen a horror/thriller without a real monster and the idea of Death being the bad guy was great and the tension created by not knowing when or how it would strike in scenes. @@dwaterson21 lol I do know what happens in 5 & it’s definitely a 👍💯. I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t seen it. I just feel like as the series went on, the desk got more gruesome and gory for me.
fun fact (which i just learned a few months ago) Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst were originally the top picks for the two main leads (this movie came out 2 years before Spider-Man), but they both passed it up, and some people say it was most likely to have the chance to star in Raimi's movie (which they thankfully did)
Really hope you do the whole series Mello! It's such a fun watch, and the last film is fantastic! Also, rather than a remake, I'd like to see a prequal starring Tony Todd's character, William Bludworth. That man's the biggest mystery of the series, and we've yet to understand who he is, or why he knows so much about "Death".
Todd: rope, neck, choke, dead. Terry: Bus, splat, dead. Valerie: stabbed in the neck with glass, stumbles around bleeding out, gets caught in shrapnel from an explosion, gets stabbed through the chest, while she's dying a chair falls over and rams the knife deeper, and then the building explodes. Billy: Metal shrapnel, chop, dead. Oh, by the way; Valerie was played by the wife of one of the writers. (=
Always loved this series. Horror but the villain is the universe creating Rube Goldberg devices to murder you lol. That's f'n genius. You should just marathon these.
Tony Todd’s part was always my favorite, even before I knew about candyman. What an actor…second favorite was the explosion in the airport…the silence the the glass imploding 💯 nice effect
These movies are so much fun. All of the creative ways people get dispatched is part of what makes them so entertaining. 3 is my favourite, but they’re all really good imo.
Everytime Clear tells the story of her dad my immediate response is "Well that's a nother version of 'my dad when to go buy cigarettes and never came back' story".
"F*ck you, Hedwig" took me all the way. HILARIOUS! You should definitely continue the franchise. It is really solid, with the exception of 4. The opening of 2 caused trauma for a generation and 3 probably did as well. As far as my favorite, it's 2.
So I think there was a fan theory or a theory overall that the morgue guy is actually death because he was involved in other Final Destination movies. Also he is a favorite scary movie actor best known for playing the Candy Man
The song that’s always playing in the background is by John Denver who died in a plane crash. Love all your videos! Definitely check out the rest of the sequels!!! They’re a wild ride!!
Please do the whole series!!!! Be traumatized about everything like us. One of us. One of us! Lol, great reaction. It’s a pretty good franchise. And yes, I believe the 6th one is in production. Maybe?
In reference to her calling him “baby” at the end. There’s 2 deleted scenes. One was where they actually end up hooking up on the beach and then the other Clear finds out that she’s pregnant.
Fun fact y’all: during a test screen audience, after the part where she got hit by a bus they initially added the scene of Alex on the couch since audiences couldn’t calm down after that sudden death!
The guy playing guitar at the end is really a significant little thing. If you notice before the deaths John Denver is always playing. The guy is also playing John Denver
This was way too entertaining! Love when you edit yourself into the movie LMAO. The entire saga is really fun to watch, although most people agree that the 4th one is not on the same level as the others, 5th one makes up for it!
My headcannon for this franchise is that this takes place in a world where safety guidelines are optional because tons of these can be easily prevented
Not me getting addicted to MellVerse on YT lol. OH IMMA ABOUT TO GET DEEP INTO FINAL DESTINATION. I LOVE his horror reaction videos. Not only do I appreciate his hilarious take on the films (and also his serious ones!), but I've noticed things "re-watching" with him that I never did before. Like in Carrie, when she kills her mother by telekinetically throwing knives at her, I knew they were mimicking Christ on the cross, but I never realized they were in the exact pattern as the Christ statue she had in the closet her mother locked her in... Mell pointed that out to me and I've seen that movie like 5 times lol. And during his reaction of Final Destination, I realized the teacher's door has a glass pane in the design of a downward sword and she gets stabbed by a falling kitchen knife. AND John Denver's "Rocky Mountain High" is playing and the lyrics they seem to focus on are, "But the string's already broken and he doesn't really care... It keeps changing fast and it don't last for long..." referencing Tod's death via string in the shower and foreshadowing the imminent deaths of the others that survived the plane crash. NOT ONLY THAT YALL... but Tony Todd is essentially "death" in the movie and Tod is the first to die of the friends that survived that plane crash... BUT WAIT... THERE'S MORE!!! "Todde" is the Celtic word for fox and foxes are in some cultures related to death. Nature journal columnist George Ellison stated, "Red foxes are the basis of several superstitions... If an individual who was setting off on a journey should startle a fox that looked back and barked, it was a sign that a relative or neighbor would soon die. Furthermore, a fox howling near one’s house was a sure warning of impending illness by one of the humans residing therein.” From reddit, "Celtic: Foxes were perceived by the Celts quite frequently as associated with the Otherworld and death, as well as wisdom." So, not only is the mortician (Tony Todd) death, but he's an omen of death to come, much like foxes in Celtic culture. And what would make death look back and "bark" like its victims cheating death... Idk why I delved so deep, probably because I'm a fuckin' SCREAM QUEEN, horror is by far my favorite genre. But here I am, and here you are, reading it lmfao.
I went to Spain during a class trip as a senior in high school. It was wild! I got caught sneaking out at night and said something disrespectful to the teacher. She smacked me in the face. I ended up not getting in trouble for sneaking out, and she didn't get in trouble for slapping me.
I always enjoyed this one. Some of the sequels are okay but I love how they connect them. I love how this movie used the death omens and upon rewatch you notice a lot of them. Like here, when they look down through the crack when boarding the plane, the car below has '666' on it. The sign at the end when it falls looks like '180' the same as the number on the plane, and the sign on the door of the plane 'sortie' means 'exit' which eludes to the character's end. I love how they're scattered throughout the movie.
2 and 3 are my favorite. I remember one of them you could decide what the characters do and ultimately change the type of death they get. It was insane for the time when it came out.
*spoilers for people that cares* It was 3 but you only could of saved one person and I’m pretty sure he went to jail 💀 (but a fun experience nonetheless)
Tony Todd character in Final Destination 1, 2, and 5 I always had this feeling that he's really death in human form especially since he has so much knowledge about death and how to beat it
Part 2 I think is my favorite one. Pretty much all are great in terms of entertainment. You can leave story and acting at the door, it's all about the anxiety leading up to the creative deaths. You'll never look at certain things the same after watching these movies. Everything's a death waiting to happen. A particular death in part 2 still has a chokehold on people.
I like this series, not every single movie, but just the premise.. it's just like my nightmares. I know something horrible is going to happen to me, but in the end I can't prevent it, I'm helpless, powerless, useless.
Fun fact my sister and I watched this movie for the first time the night before she left on a school trip to France …. Probably not the best idea we had 😅😂
This was one of my favorite concepts of any franchise in the 2000s. Death itself as the protagonist had me very curious. The actors they casted in this early film, the twists and turns, who was gonna survive or have the craziest death. From Tony Todd casted as the pallbearer to the original score by the late, great Shirley Walker was indeed awesome. Ever since this first installment, a popular saying has come out of the culture about real, potentially dangerous situations occurring: "THAT'S SOME FINAL DESTINATION-TYPE S***!!!!". If we think bad things are going to happen and they don't, these are the words that you'll usually hear and still hear today. I've only seen the first 3 films and not 4-6. There are 2 different series of literature (novels & comics) and i read the comic series, Final Destination:Spring Break from 2007. One true thing to take away from this is that fate is unavoidable and you just gotta learn to accept it. That is always the realest to deal with.
Loved your reaction!! Hilarious. This and the Conjuring Franchise are my favorite horror film series. Other Horror movies I like are Ghost Ship, The Unborn, Mirrors, Stay Alive... Also some other films you should watch, Poseidon (2006), Hostage (Bruce Willis), August Rush, Before I Fall, The Abyss, Ransom (Mel Gibson), Hacksaw Ridge (Directed by Mel Gibson). All very different films but really great stories, great direction, as well as casts. Please give them a try :) Thanks for the good vibes and the laughs Mellow! I love watching your reactions, they're great. It always feels like we're really right there with you watching these films for the first time lol. @@dwaterson21 lol I do know what happens in 5 & it’s definitely a 👍💯. I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t seen it. I just feel like as the series went on, the desk got more gruesome and gory for me.
3 is the best
#2 is the best!!
Him being bothered by not having blinds or his bags being left on the plane. 😂 exactly why Mellow is the best
when i was a teen, it was the plane blowing up in the distance while they argued
that SHOOK me.
fun fact (which i just learned a few months ago)
Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst were originally the top picks for the two main leads (this movie came out 2 years before Spider-Man), but they both passed it up, and some people say it was most likely to have the chance to star in Raimi's movie (which they thankfully did)
I think they would have been great in this!
Yeah one thing to remember in this movies is that death is a bitsh, and it hates it when they mess with the order. Death is present all the time
Always loved this series. Horror but the villain is the universe creating Rube Goldberg devices to murder you lol. That's f'n genius. You should just marathon these.
The thing about Carter is that he's ALWAYS down for a fight
After all these years, Todd's death is still the worst for me
The way you're edited into the shots, top notch.
Tony Todd’s part was always my favorite, even before I knew about candyman. What an actor…second favorite was the explosion in the airport…the silence the the glass imploding 💯 nice effect
*plane explodes*
Mell: Damnnn my bags bro.
Never change man.😂 This movie still makes me nervous about flying sometimes.
Lol! Mell is hilarious!
This is the only movie that ever scared me. Made me very aware of my surroundings. Had me watching out for everything. It shows u anything can happen.
These movies are so much fun. All of the creative ways people get dispatched is part of what makes them so entertaining. 3 is my favourite, but they’re all really good imo.
I was 10 when this came out. This movie terrified me. Takes me back though. Back when Kerr smith was that bad boy heartthrob we were crushing on. 😂
Final Destination 2 will definitely make you be more cautious driving. A worthwhile sequel for sure
Never woulda thought Mello hadn't seen Final Destination
He said this movie is wild but he’s about to find out it’s mild compared to the sequel 😂
Also he is a favorite scary movie actor best known for playing the Candy Man
I like whenever he edits himself into movies his mic comes with him as well
The song that’s always playing in the background is by John Denver who died in a plane crash.
Maybe?
I've noticed in a few videos but your channel is so good for reactions just in general. You get emotionally invested and I appreciate that
Love all final destination movies. Really makes you fear Death and respect it.
25:02 IT LITERALLY IS A REGULAR DAY FOR THEM AT THIS POINT! 😭😭😭😭😭 i would be acting the same way
In reference to her calling him “baby” at the end. There’s 2 deleted scenes. One was where they actually end up hooking up on the beach and then the other Clear finds out that she’s pregnant.
That edit of you on the plane was awesome!😊
I always felt bad for Todd. That was a terrible way to die, so close to surviving yet so far away.
Mello in the winow seat😂love it.
Personally I love all the Final Destination movies (except 4 🙄 but the kills were cool). Awesome reaction Mello I hope you continue the franchise 😂
Fun fact y’all: during a test screen audience, after the part where she got hit by a bus they initially added the scene of Alex on the couch since audiences couldn’t calm down after that sudden death!
Please carry on with this series, your reactions are on point and I’d loooove to see your reaction to the rest of the franchise! ❤
I dont know what you changed, but the resolution of the vid is great! keep up the great content, love your reactions.
9:30 Dang Mello! You need a thunder buddy or something?
The guy playing guitar at the end is really a significant little thing. If you notice before the deaths John Denver is always playing. The guy is also playing John Denver
I hope you continue with the series, it's such a great franchise to react to!
I also love when you're edited into scenes, it makes me laugh too hard 😂
Great series. Definitely watch 2 & 3 at least.
Happy Halloween! 🎃🐈⬛👻🦇💀🕸🕷🧡🖤
I would also recommend the last one.
You definitely need to make a franchise of these damn near all of them good asf
"There's just something missing"
*inserts self into the table LOL
This was way too entertaining! Love when you edit yourself into the movie LMAO. The entire saga is really fun to watch, although most people agree that the 4th one is not on the same level as the others, 5th one makes up for it!
I’ve always wondered why tf does the mortician dude know so much..He just has to have a bigger role in this whole thing lol
"Let's go take a shit"...lmao the 2nd one bangs too
My headcannon for this franchise is that this takes place in a world where safety guidelines are optional because tons of these can be easily prevented
17:18 LOL!
That bathroom scene always gets me. I bet that puddle was like, "Come on! Slip on me!"
I see you holding in your laugh at 5:28 buddy you ain't slick 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I caught that to hahaha!
“Ain’t nobody wanna talk to that girl she drinkin a glass of milk” LMAO
Final Destination 2 is arguably the best in the series. I look forward to you watching the sequels.
Bro definitely got confused with James Wong thinking it was James Wan lmao
Watch Final Destination 2 with the log truck. Psychologically impacted an entire generation.
I would love for you to watch parts 2 and 3, suffer through 4 and really enjoy 5 - just like it was back then 😁
2 and 3 are my favorite. I remember one of them you could decide what the characters do and ultimately change the type of death they get. It was insane for the time when it came out.
*spoilers for people that cares* It was 3 but you only could of saved one person and I’m pretty sure he went to jail 💀 (but a fun experience nonetheless)
@@Kevkoilwhat are yall talking about
Tony Todd character in Final Destination 1, 2, and 5 I always had this feeling that he's really death in human form especially since he has so much knowledge about death and how to beat it
Part 2 I think is my favorite one. Pretty much all are great in terms of entertainment. You can leave story and acting at the door, it's all about the anxiety leading up to the creative deaths. You'll never look at certain things the same after watching these movies. Everything's a death waiting to happen. A particular death in part 2 still has a chokehold on people.
Mello you had me dying at 4:15 💀
Keep going
Mell looked ready to expire throughout this movie
I like this series, not every single movie, but just the premise.. it's just like my nightmares. I know something horrible is going to happen to me, but in the end I can't prevent it, I'm helpless, powerless, useless.
My favorite is FD3. But I will admit the deaths get increasingly more absurd as they movies go on
Fun fact my sister and I watched this movie for the first time the night before she left on a school trip to France …. Probably not the best idea we had 😅😂
I watched this with my mom the night before we had a flight to Italy she freaked out after that plane scene “why would you pick this movie?!?!” 😅😂
Ever since this first installment, a popular saying has come out of the culture about real, potentially dangerous situations occurring:
"THAT'S SOME FINAL DESTINATION-TYPE S***!!!!".
3:32 I'm such a dumb ass..."there's a guy that looks just like you in the scene" 🥴
I think it's great how in the moment you are and you always seem into it, wanting to give it an honest chance. P.S That blue sweater is fire dude! Great color on you. 🤘
The movies get more insane as they go. The entire series is a fun watch.
5:10 rewinded 3 times, so funny 😂
One of the best series in horror/thriller. Never gets old. The 2nd one is my favorite.
Furthest field trip my school took was to a campsite a town over to build igloos in the winter. Not kidding, outdoor survival class.
