to recap: no bats were harmed in the making of this vlog; the stairs won; the weather continues being uncooperative; the approach of Fall is relentless; I added two new words to my vocabulary: Resflor and bin-run seeds. It's a relief seeing unwell beings turn happier/hungry/happy again: the Shades of Recovery. Hope Mark feels better soon/the second and third day after, seems like you to feel it the worst, in my experience. TY, Sandi, for the education. Best AG class Ever!
You are one of the hardest working people I have ever seen. With that effort comes stress, doubt, success and pride in what you are doing. Thank you for making these videos.
I think Sandi is TRIPLETS. 😊 She's just fooling us. ... Your Husband is so lucky to have you!!! You just said , I am, "Thankful." The attitude is incredible and GOD is outpouring on you and your LAMBS. I'm so Blessed watching and learning about Sheep. Thanks Sandi for your Service. You really deserve that Award... and many others.. 🌻
I have just fallen in love with YOU and your animal family as well as your human family!!! Thank you for putting up with ALL the RUclips crap just to share your life with us!! XOXO 😘
It never ceases to amaze me all of the different skills and jobs needed to do what you do on your farm to be successful. It’s incredible how hard you work each day from a physical, emotional and mental point of view.
I don’t want to hear you doubting yourself ever again!! Ewe are AMAZING!!! You play so many roles on y’all farm!! And, ewe do a GREAT job with all of them!!! Sheep Farmer, Farmers wife, mom, teacher, entertainer, vet ….on & on @ on!!! Ewe are AMAZING!! Keep on being EWE💞💞💞💞💞
Boy.... that Karissa is sure a peach of an employee. Especially at her age, already knowing how to go that EXTRA mile. Which looks as if shes continually does! Seriously ..... what a super amazing young woman. And EMPLOYEE!!!
Sandi, I have been binge watching your channel and I am not a farmer, and I'm what you call an indoor gal. However just seeing your little lambs and mommas give me the warm and fuzzies. If I have a bad day I know exactly what will make me smile. You work so hard and I wanted you to know I really appreciate you!! I'm an advocate for mental health and you dear lady ROCK!! ❤️
Couple of things: does momma ewe have milk?? Big huge congrats on filming, editing, and publishing your 500th vlog!!! So so sorry about Mark’s fall, prayers for him feeling better as soon as possible.
I am so in love with you and your family. Your videos are the best. You so such compassion for these babies. Thank you for doing everything humanly possible for recovery effort. Also, thank you for making the hard decision to put them down when all else fails and not letting them suffer. Your awesome sweetie.
Well, vlog 500 certainly decided to be an eventful one! Water leaks are probably more common in winter because water expands into ice while everything else contracts, a recipe for problems. I've dealt with my fair share of barn water problems... glad you got a very manageable one!
Sandi, everyone else thinks it's easy and wants your life. 😆 You, your family and everyone work so hard. This video is so informative and influential. I am quite happy you share your world with the rest of us. 🙋♀️🤗🐶
Hi Sandi & Family. Thank God those 2 babies are feeling so much better now. I pray for Mark to heal fast & feel much better. Falling on stairs is so painful. I've done it. Years ago.
Oh Sandy, you are the best. I love your Videos and I love you. I have daughters and sons your age. I watch you work so hard and my heart goes out to you. You are right, those little lambs can look perfect and bingo, it is down. I raised goats until I had a heart attack and my kids sold my goats cause the doctor said no stress. Broke my heart ❤. Stay safe and healthy, please. Love you all
Sandi’s sister asking about hoof trimming. Me thinking….doesn’t she watch all of Sandi’s videos and should know this stuff already? Lol sisters, gotta lov’em. I hope Mark feels better and good on you Sandi for the two lamb saves! Way to go! And can we say enough good things about Carissa? I think not. She’s amazing!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hope that Mark feels better soon or he may need to see a doctor. Glad the lambs are doing better. Glad that the kids could help over the weekend. Have a good Thanksgiving.
What !?!! Do you mean to tell me that me being on this side of the camera doesn’t make me the expert like you have been doing this professionally for years? Well duh! I’m always impressed at what measures you are able to do Sandi. God bless you and your family. You are a compassionate and loving human being.♥️🌹♥️🌹🇺🇸
He must really be hurting. At the end as he is walking towards the camera in the drive he was really twisted and shoulder drooped down on one side. I sure hope he feels better soon. God bless.
I fell March 20th and broke my 9th rib left side. Also same fall I broke my vertebrae, a linear break. I'd had back surgery years ago for plates and screws to help straighten my lower back. I am a nurse and EMT all my adult life, working night shift in a 50 bed skilled nursing home. Only one cna to help. So much lifting, etc. My point is I understand what Mark is going through. I'm still on pain killers and muscle relaxer. The verdict was to take it easy and build up tolerance, no surgery. It seems like forever healing but it will continue to improve. I'd carpet and pad those stairs and make sure to keep handrails installed. Never give up. It's been 4 months and I am much better but it will heal, and you will have a robust appreciation of safety and hiring help till the inflammation eases up. Love your videos. I help people live and die peacefully, you are inspiration for your followers more than you'll ever know.
Wow and yay to 500😊❤❤👏👏🎉🎆🎉, i personally have seen at least all of them from fall 2019 and keep going back to find the rest. Just saw number 1 recently ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ awww hope Mark is ok and feels better. Your an awesome multitasking wonder woman😊❤💪
Hi, if in doubt with tubing pop a little burst of air through the tube with a syringe while listening to the stomach with a stethoscope. I know Mark wants to tough it out but he really needs to be checked over. Bruised kidneys hurt but probably ok as long as he isn’t peeing pink!
My own other half got a brutal thumping his own last year on the farm his own personal mare who has her own *special issues* finally gave us a LIVE foal...he was so excited that he stopped thinking and just hopped into her stall to see if it was a him or a her, and mama objected, reacted out of instinct, began booting him, he's caught between her backside and the stone barnwall, she got him twice in the ribs before he could grasp the side of her stall wall and somersault himself over, out, and into the next stall(thankfully housing a very aged and understanding mare who, other than being startled at his sudden landing beside her, didn't react at all...) took him to emergency and they x-rayed him from top to toe, finding a lacerated spleen,2 bruised kidneys, a concussion, bruised tailbone, amongst other things so he had a 3 day hospital holiday that he did NOT enjoy, nor agree with. They told him and me(*I know him*) to take it easy-no heavy lifting...I asked them to do the wise thing and keep him for another 2 days, he avidly taught that he'd be fine at home..(of course!) They said they had no grounds to do so, I told them that there was no way he'd take anything "easy"... the best I got was a Dr. asking me to report to him if that other half did NOT take it easy, and and Dr. called, would Mr. come back in for a checkup? He said he would. Dr. Said if he found ribs or anything else worse, or not as improved as he thought they should be, he'd admit the Mr., like it or not, but in reality, home and normal movement, within reason(no heaving bales around, nor wrestling protective mamas(equine or bovine) WAS better than laying in a hospital bed, would keep fluid from collecting in his lungs...(🙄 *so I got told!* of course the other half and the teenage brat thought it was funny that *I* was being called an overprotective worrywart!"🤪 of course I had my own words thrown back at me...very very quickly! We'd no sooner pulled into the yard than I noticed our milk cow out in the paddock...an a black lump on the grass had her attention...bounced out of the truck door, headed for the fence..." Dolly calved!"...didn't think once, let alone twice...parted Dolly on my way by, patted calf on head, grabbed hind leg, lifted for a look, helped calf up, aimed for barn, running alongside steadying as she tottered along, Dolly mooing encouragement as she followed, only a bit worried, but not concerned at all, so it seemed, got them in the barn, daughter walks around the other entrance to the front of me, "boy are you gonna GET IT"😉I'm honestly puzzled, what have I done to "get it" *for?*
@@cryingbroken8824 I started getting pre-mature osteoporosis at 29. By that time I was divorced and had 100% custody of our little one. By 34 I was starting to have fractures. More ribs than anything. But parenting can't be put on hold. I toughed it out many times. As a result, my kid is a tough one! Not mean type tough. She's just following my example! I wish she wouldn't and would stay in bed when she needs to, but I do get that she thinks that mom's don't do that! However, she could have called on her in-laws sometimes. I didn't have that option. Wow! 500 vlogs. I forget which I saw first, but I went back and watched them all in order. I’m so glad you chose to number them. In these times of isolation, you and yours are such a welcome part of my day. God bless.
You Sandi are beyond price. Your care, love and fierce fighting for all your family, animals and fields are inprirational. ♡ Sad for Mark hope he heals up right and fast. ♡
Congratulations on your wonderful 500 . I really appreciate all your videos Sandi I’m always praying for you when it comes to lambing season cause I’m very sentimental about loosing a life. You have a wonderful family and Mark is a super good husband along with your children. Carissa is always looking mighty good working with you and praise the lord bless you and your family.😇🙏🤟🏻✌🏻❤️🥰🤗
Glad the lambs recovered quickly. The water leak scared me watching you work on it so closely to electrical cords. (hearing fans running) Hope Mark feels better soon. Love what you do.
Sorry about the fall Mark! Been there, done that🤪 Congratulations on Vlog 500!! Be careful about those bats... guano, rabies...😬 You can try smoking them out, I think. So glad the babies are up and feeling better. They are so sweet 🐑❤️❤️ Carissa, you are an 😇 💕 What a wonderful work ethic. Your folks must be so proud of you😄
So there's proof that prayer and love can heal! So happy to see those 2 babies up and running around. We all need to pray for Mark❣️🙏🙏 Bruised or cracked ribs are very painful. Hope he starts feeling better soon.
Congratulations on your 500 video ! I love that u number ur video it makes it so much easier to follow and go back to where u have just stop watching since I binge watch ur video ! I really enjoy and find peace and relaxation especially watching the lambs ! Thanks for sharing ur life with us !
I raised Cashmere goats, and I had a whether who's horns were perfectly shaped that he could get his head through the fence but couldn't get it back. We would use a saws all to cut one wire of the rigid fencing and bend it back after releasing him. We then taped a bit of broomstick to his horns so he couldn't fit through the fence for awhile.
Ya I've seen I'ma Survivor Sanctuary put a stick or pool noodle onto their horns if they like to get they heads stuck. They call it the stick of shame. Lol
Yeah, I wish we'd thought of using g pool noodles. But also fiber goats need their horns "free" because it's how they cool themselves when they're in fleece
Sandi….you are a power house , I really admire you and your work ethic and compassion towards your flock…truly a God sent shepherdess…..I really hope Mark realizes what he has in you!
Wow! 500 videos! Holy moly that is a lot of editing, frustration and time. I love you for it though because I for one can't miss a single one! Bravo on getting the lambies upright! You are such a strong woman, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I know you don't thinks so sometimes, but you are!
Congratulations Sandi!!! 500 videos!!! So sorry that Mark got hurt. I pray that he feels better soon. My husband had his left hip replaced yesterday so he knows about the pain. Good job saving those 2 lambs! Thank you so much for all of the laughter that you bring into my family’s lives. We really enjoy your videos. Hugs!!!
Congratulations on 500. I absolutely rank you as my favorite Family on YT. Continued success and joy wished for you all. Thank God for Carissa as well such a big contributor to your workforce.
Nothing about anything you do seems easy! You always do everything you can and I love your channel. Every time watch your videos makes me want to come help lol
HOLY CRAP!!!! 500 vlogs!! 🎉🥳🤩CONGRATULATIONS!🤩🥳🎉 Absolutely love watching your every day activities and what farmers of all kinds have to deal with! You keep the world going and we appreciate you and the effort and time it takes for your operation! It’s incredible!
sandi you are WAY to hard on yourself. your family seams to love and RESPECT one another . When you need help they try to come and help andkarisa is a real champ. must have had a good teacher
Congratulations on reaching such a huge milestone as 500 VLOGS!!!! What a huge achievement!!!! I've been following you for a long time, and have never been bored by any of your videos!! Thanks for taking that leap and creating the channel!!! This was another great vlog today! My days are complete with Sandi and her Sheep!! I'm one of Sandi's Sheeple!!
Praying for Mark healing & strenght. You know as he was walking up to you at the end of the video he's walking just like the Duke( John Wayne) very smooth. I'm so glad lambs are doing well. Bless you all💞👼🙏
I like that you pray for your lambs, (per your vet's instructions!) Those bags of seed look like they'd take a toll on a women's spine, as women don't have the natural upper body strength that men do. But I love that you and Mark back each other up.
I love how you keep it real and show what farmers go through! It stacks up! Sometimes you have multiple machines down, a leak, sick animals and a hurt husband!! Sometimes you lose appendages (not saying that you have). But this is truly a day in a life of a farmer! Love it and love that you guys keep on going!
Well .y husband did almost same wound last fall.. old-school versus young ones football game..we believe 2 ribs fractured or really bruised so we did a home wrap a knee or whatever wrap as tight as u can round the sore ribs an it helped so much for him to still work an not be crying all day.. hope it helps get well soon nothing worse then the ribs ...no sneezing ,coughing an watch bumps
Congratulations #500. I tell you those sheep and holes. They just have to try to get through. So glad the two babies are ok. Hope Mark is feeling better soon.
Sandi your live for your animal and family is outstanding. You do everything you can for your lambs and helping Mark in the field. Keep up the great job, leave the bats alone. Don't need to get hurt for them.
Sandi!!! This is Vlog 500 and I didn’t hear you once say anything about that huge achievement!!!! Congrats on the two little lambs!! They’re precious and I can’t wait to see their progress!! I’ll definitely be watching on Instagram for updates because just like you, I have NO patience!! 💗💗💗
Love the video. I love watching your yours and Cammy’s blog. You just have to love those sheep and their little lambies. Hope hubby feels better soon. ❣️❣️
Congrats Sandi on 500 Vlogs🎉I’ve become addicted to your videos! The operation you and Mark have isn’t some small time deal, and yet you are prepared for everything from soup to nuts there! Looking forward to the next 500!
Omg I’m sorry but I laughed my butt off when that sheep made you fall on yours. And congrats on your 500th video keep up the great work. Have a very blessed day Miss Sandi
Seconding this. Falls down stairs are no joke and need to be checked. Spinal and back area injuries that don’t heal properly, even if it’s muscular and not vertebrae, can come back to haunt you in nasty painful ways later.
Agreed. A chiropractor is needed. When he's walking towards the camera at the end of this vlog, you can see his left shoulder is lower than his right so he definitely needs an adjustment.
Thou art now christened “the head wedge” rescuer….granted it was sheep water but hey, it was close to hand. (Or eye! Lol) I’m so in awe of the way you can swing from one hat to another. Champion stuff 🏆🥇
You all rock. 🌟🌟🌟🌟👍👍👍👍 I am glad to actually see all the hard work that farming and animal husbandry is about. Thank you for working so hard, but please be careful, even in off time. So glad you were able to save the lambs. Lucy makes me laugh 😂 😂 😂 😂 when she up and shows up were you least expect it. Like in the gator seat. Your kids and Clarissa are awesome. So lucky you have them. Take care, look forward to seeing another video soon. Makes my day when you post one.
Good Job with the lambs! Have Mark watch for dark urine. That indicates bruising. Blood in urine indicates rupture. If neither it is just "Oh crap I'm getting old". Prayers for you and yours.
I live vicariously through you Ms. Sandi, thank you. I hope Mark gets back to normal soon. I really probably shouldn’t say this but I think your more physically active than Mark, you work harder, sorry Mark. Ms. Sandi is wrestling sheep, trimming hoofs, weighing lambs, getting knocked on her butt, lifting feed bags just to name SOME of the things Ms. Sandi does. Not hard planting crops, just saying.🌺💚🙃
Another great video!!! So glad the 2 babies made a full recovery!!! I sure hope Mark got looked at. Bruised kidneys are not good things to have!!! You both need to be careful...Love all those babies!!! Stay safe out there!!! 😍🤗🥰❤

Glad the lambs recovered quickly. The water leak scared me watching you work on it so closely to electrical cords. (hearing fans running) Hope Mark feels better soon. Love what you do.
⚡️
Clever ! 🐑

Good job saving those 2 lambs! Thank you so much for all of the laughter that you bring into my family’s lives. We really enjoy your videos. Hugs!!!

Nothing about anything you do seems easy! You always do everything you can and I love your channel. Every time watch your videos makes me want to come help lol
Hi Miss sunshine

Good luck I think you do absolutely fabulous with these lambs.
Bless you all💞👼🙏
This is the first time I have seen your sister in the sheep 🐑 barn. Welcome!!!!
Poor Mark. Fractured ribs are sore. Hope he feels better soon. Congratulations to you Sandi on your 500th vlog. I have loved every minute.
I like that you pray for your lambs, (per your vet's instructions!)
Those bags of seed look like they'd take a toll on a women's spine, as women don't have the natural upper body strength that men do.
Congrats on number 500! Hope Mark feels better soon. Y'all are amazing!
Leaks, Falls and Tumbles! Never a dull moment at Shepherd Creek Farms. 🚜🚜
Loved the end of the video you always make me smile your videos are so funny thank you Sandi for sharing your life story with the world #🤍
Sandi your live for your animal and family is outstanding.
Happy 500th and I love watching your videos glad the lambs are ok!
500 vlogs! Congratulations and Thank You, Sandi! 🥳
Be still my heart, that baby @ 8:15 is adorable!! 🥰🐑🐏
Love love love! Wish I could post pics of our Harvest down in Iowa! We are hitting 250-300 bushel an acre this year. Absolutely insane yields!
I should specify that is corn and we’re hitting 80+ in soy beans
That fall was classic!!! Love it and I'm sure Carissa was just cracking up
Perfect timing
Congratulations on your 500th video!
Omg I’m sorry but I laughed my butt off when that sheep made you fall on yours. And congrats on your 500th video keep up the great work. Have a very blessed day Miss Sandi
At least the hay to fall onto, instead of wooden stairs.... I hope he feels better soon!
Prayers for Mark. Hope he feels better. Wow what a fall u had too.
500 vlogs! Congratulations!!!! I love watching you and your wonderful family. Keep going - your work is fantastic. 💖💖
How amazing! 500 is a HUGE milestone and you should be so so proud!
My goodness woman you can do everything. You are so amazing!!!!
Great video. Congrats on 500 and hope Mark feels better soon.
Yay ! Been watching for number 500 !
Mark needs to see a doctor, his spine is so out of alignment. Praying he will feel better soon.
As they say" when it rains....it pours" ,never a dull moment on the farm.. but you are still able to smile.....I hope things go more smoothly for you!
Hi Mary
How are you doing today?
Oh my gosh! Prayers work! Love ya Sandy. You are the best you you can be.
Thou art now christened “the head wedge” rescuer….granted it was sheep water but hey, it was close to hand. (Or eye! Lol) I’m so in awe of the way you can swing from one hat to another. Champion stuff 🏆🥇
I LOVE YOUR CHANNELL. KEEP POSTING THEM. THANK YOU
I'm sorry but the part sandi fell when she helped the ewe lamb out from the gate was so funny, i laughed but i am sorry sandi, love you
Ouch! Your highs and lows are extreme! Glad things turn out well in the end. Congrats on videos keep up great work!
So glad you were so observant.
I love watching your videos! Congratulations on 500 vlogs! I have learned so much watching you! Keep up the good work!
Actually, I’ve been watching Mark & Sandi for over 2 years. They both work hard & compliment each other in amazing ways!
We don’t get to see much of the machinery repairs and building that mark does around the farm much at all
Having watched my husband do machinery work around the farm, I cannot agree. Farmers work their tails off.
Another great video!!! So glad the 2 babies made a full recovery!!! I sure hope Mark got looked at. Bruised kidneys are not good things to have!!! You both need to be careful...Love all those babies!!! Stay safe out there!!! 😍🤗🥰❤
Congratulations on getting to vlog #500. I always enjoy watching what antics the sheep and your family get up to.
