So glad PPC is kinda back. It was the best mag out there for ages, wish u all the luck in the world with growing it on the RUclipss
Audacity is good for messing with audio, lots of little addons and tweaks so you can get rid of the horrible peaks and noise.
At 5:20 the auto generated subtitles say '[Music]' when the engine is cranking over, and then '[Applause]' when it fires. AI is a petrolhead!
We appreciate AI slightly more now 🤣
I adore the ludicrousness of the 108 as a racecar...just so cool. Same as the XJC Broadspeed with the wooden dash still in place.
without the music this would've been good
Great to see that the madness continues, it'll help inspire me to get my 4.2 Jag engined mk1 Capri back on the road sooner rather than later 😊
Yessss do it - summer is coming!
A bit more information would be good + a shot of the interior? Is it running an auto box and what's with the dark lenses on the upper most of the stacked headlights? Enjoyed the video, keep going. :)
We missed a few things! Sorry about that. Glad you enjoyed. Next episode out tonight 😃
Brilliant delighted to see ppc back really excited to see what's coming
Best of luck with this launch guys. Respect to the Red Pig homage but i also quite liked it as Will had it in black.
Good to see ppc back. Looking forward to the wierd and wonderful creation you guys unearth.
Great video, sound is all over the place mind but not a biggy ;).
Great to see the cars evolution from old age beige to gangster black, and now race car red. A fine job done by all.
Very surprised the road filming was where I'm staying now!
Great to see PPC back. Loved the Merc in the mag back in the day. Looking forward to new stuff to come.
Great video, despite the wind! Thanks guys! 🙂
I just remembered where I seen this Merc recently....😂😂 At the Practical Classics and Restoration Show, never realised this belonged to Will. Great to learn the history of this merc and it's latest incarnation.
Another great video.
Delightfully shambolic, excellent and keep it up. Glad you're back
Beautiful machine. Great idea for a project. Got me thinking of the possibilities actually.😊
The story, music and setting is brilliant. Constructive criticism is on the sound quality and the wind noise, just took away from it. Maybe link things more also, feature cars are great but it needs to get us thinking too.... imagine your idea of a race car for the road, we have all thought of that. Great job guys!
Always liked the look of these mercs nice tribute.
Fantastic video, thanks.
Nice one. Great se see a car with so much personal history for you Will, and the evolution of the car after you.
good to see PPC is back
PanzerPig! I remember this car from when Will bought it, always wondered what happened to it. PPC magazine used to be available here in SA, but I guess it just got too expensive to import. There's another rep running at Swartkops racetrack outside Johannesburg. Thanks for the update!
Glad you enjoyed. We had to shut down the mag a couple of years ago due to it no longer being financially viable. However, this is our revival - hopefully it goes well!
Well done guys keep the good work up 👍🏻
Brilliant … I even like the intro tune too 🎶 👌
I love this car...always wanted to do this
Brilliant - more like this please
Glad you enjoyed. More coming 😁
That's so cool.
Such a sweet sweet car ❤
First off, long time fan of your magazine! Ever since the issue with the "track Rolls". (Pretty hard publication to find, on this side of the pond, btw.) Anyway, one of these "pigs" is on our list of things to build, here at dorkspeed garage. If you are ever in Cleveland Ohio, we'll give y'all a shop tour!
Cheers Timothy - glad to have you along. Hopefully we can "break America" before too long and then warrant a trip over to Mopar land (and other things too!). Hope you enjoy everything else we have to offer 👌
woohoo ppc!
I love that you are producing the videos and please keep featuring old staff cars but please for the love of god drop the shit music. Should have had some in car and a few more details about the build but this is a bloody brilliant start.👍
Actually the average annual rainfall in Johannesburg is nearly 800 mm.
The reason cars don't rust quickly is because it is 600 km from the sea, so no salt on the roads or in the air. And most of the rain is from thunderstorms which will drop 30 mm in less than hour during summer, the rest of the time it is pretty much dry.
Nevertheless cars do rust their way into the scrapyard, so this one must have lived a sheltered life.

Need a 3 rd hand in there talking folks - it’s good though
Is there any chance of doing some PPC tshirts? The simple black one with just a logo on the front. Mine fell to bits over many years of abuse and my friend lost his and was gutted.
Oh, we will absolutely do that. Hopefully sooner rather than later 😁
I get the distinct impression that your man there likes Mercs......
Footage of the real one on my channel Mark’s Italian Garage.
Alfa Romeo and the Mille Miglia part 5 . Well I think it’s the real one but perhaps you can tell me if it is ? It’s such a cool looking thing well done !
Nice car. Needs more engine noise, less music though
Race Cars back then had that "Leaning Look" because the Car Body was Twisting under the Torque from the Engine and Drivetrain..... Todays Racers run Stiffer Set ups to Eliminate Roll and put the Power to the Track...
Definitely an improvement over the first video. Get some mics and take onboard a bunch of the feedback in the comments and things are only going to get better.
Glad you enjoyed. Yeah, audio is an issue still - we've got some decent mics now so hopefully things will improve dramatically from our next shoot onwards!

I enjoyed that more than I should admit , in Public.Gotta go have a lie-down, now ......
Sound crew went sick?
Yeahhh, the sound went a bit pear shaped unfortunately. Working on it!
@@ppcmagazine great content though really enjoyed it. Takes me back to the PPC mag days
Was looking forward to hearing the engine sound of this beast, sadly someone decided to overdub the most generic rock in the world over it and effectively drown it out. 1/5 Mercedes stars.
Oh I remember this old girl, stick a v8 in it please tell me some loon has restored the toasted capri 😮
We wish! Poor thing was too far gone unfortunately
Wishful thinking indeed, Will did you ever get the garage to cover cost I remember a whole issue ?
That really don’t look right at moment. Think it’s tyres, nowhere near fat enough
I think the original ones were almost as wide as they were tall 😁
That is one of the most beautiful ugly things I’ve seem
love a porco rosso, but a pity the paint job is crap. A pity the owner didn’t spend some more time and effort making this better
That's the point of ppc. Practical, home made performance
The paint doesn't add anything, it would be nice.....but absolutely not necessary
True but he could have spent a bit more time on it as it just would look nicer. Good build though 😁. My brother has heaps of these W108s from rusted out spare cars to a half reasonable 3.5V8 (actually he has 3 of these, but the other two are a project and spares car).
It’s a temporary paint job while Mark gets the graphics spot on. It will get a proper paint job soon.
