- The Smoky Mountain National Park is a beautiful park, and we were able to experience much of its beauty, including a popular hike to Laurel Falls. It's approximately 1.3 miles and considered a moderate to easy hike. It can be accomplished in a few hours and is mostly paved. More information about Laurel Falls can be found at www.nps.gov/gr...
HOWEVER - before the big hike to the falls we experienced a bear outside our cabin! You'll have to watch more to find out!
I used a song on the second part of the video from David Hyde - copyright-free from RUclips Audio Library. Love his acoustic set on this and included his information below.

The video footage of the bear was taken by Videographer "Pixabay" and is given as free to use content "Creative Commons Images". I generally like all their footage and you can find some of his images and other videos on Pexels.com
Looks like a great vacation spot!
We love the hike to Laurel Falls. Done it several times. Thanks for taking me along. We have not been able to get there for 2 years now. Miss it 😊
We loved the area - it was worth getting out there and hiking. Thanks for following along Kendra!
Best and scariest experience in my life. Same place and a bear... that's adrenaline
I couldnt believe he opened the door to the gals vehicle! But she had food inside...so, I guess that's the lesson. They will do anything to get to that food! They're beautiful animals - gives you a whole new perspective! Thanks for watching!
Bears are attracted to Lithium batteries so I heard from a hunter
lol or just food in general. 😉 But apparently survivor man said something similar in an episode I guess? Something about the smell? Interesting.
You look like Adam Sandler. How nice to take your family on vacation.
First time I heard that one! Umm Thank you? LOL Traveling with family is a gift - you never get back the time. Thank you so much for watching!
If there is an easier trail in the Smokies...I have no clue what it is. That hike is as easy as they come and short to boot. Unless its changed...much of it is even asphalted trail.
For sure! Easy trail - perfect for the novice and the view closer to the falls was beautiful. The only thing I'd warn is some of the asphalt trail was broken up from wear and tear..just watch your step, but relatively easy. Thanks for the comment!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing this video as I will be hiking this area soon. What kind of camera do you use to film? Just subbed #51!!
Sorry Metro - for some reason my phone wasn't alerting me! Right now I'm only using a gopro! (Ahhhhh! I know) but looking to add a mirrorless camera - Canon or Sony. Tell me about your hike??? Please!
Country Pilgrim so worries my friend! I also use a GoPro Hero 8 and the stabilization has been awesome for the trail. Looking to get either the Sony A7 mark iii or Canon R on Black Friday. Will definitely share my experience once hiked/filmed.
@@MetroOnTheMove oooh! Nice I've been watching some reviews on the A7! Tip - which you probably already know! HA! I biffed it like 3 times in the smoky mts trying to get footage. Kids loved it! But, I hurt like a son of a buck the next day! eyes on the trail! (Videographer challenge) LOL!
@@midwestsmalltown always keep your eyes on the trail! That is one way to stub your toes and take a stumble. In Georgia, The Appalachian Trial is brutal and filled with stumps, rocks, roots and such. I have eaten it plenty of times not paying attention. Too funny! Cheers
Thanks for sharing. I have visited three times and have yet to enjoy a visit. Maybe I need to return?
Great Smoky National Park is a trick one. It can be very crowded- as the most visited National Park. Thanks for watching!
Hey love your channel new friend here thanks 😊🤝❤️
Thank you for the complment and following along. I appreciate it.
Yymmm it also has rounded ears which a grizzley or other wise called a brown bear has.
Those rascally round ears! See - this is why Midwesterners don't deal with bears that much! LOL! Thanks for watching and the info Lori!
Keeps those dangerous forest fires at bay? GAT GOT The worst of F Fires i ever seen.
Forest Fires - the one I drove through in Wyoming got my attention. Serious stuff!
Stop protecting them
Stop protecting what?
