You are so very welcome!! And thank you so much for the kind words and feedback! I’m glad your project turned out great!! I do more quick tutorials and tips over on my Instagram too! @craftwithbethany
Nice tutorial but I would put the clip directly onto the larger ring that's attached to the key fob. That little jump ring won't last, especially if you add keys and such...
I have no clue as I’ve had that ruler for ages. You can probably find a similar one in the ruler section of a fabric store. I use it most for cutting fabric.
Ouuu I hate seeing people placing the safety of their home/car/safe/office (basically, every key is important) in the hands of a tiny little jump ring lol. I think it is WAY safer and better to add the key ring directly on the fob, and then the swivel hook directly on the key ring if you find use for it. Anything else is risky business! Beautiful tutorial as always.
Hi thanks for sharing this video, I am curious about something as you're using vinyl, it looks slippery, so what's to keep the key fob together, I mean from the upper area where there is no sharp prongs going thru that one side, couldn't it start to slip its way out, if I was doing this with vinyl or nearly any type of material, I believe that I would first add a bit of glue into that inner upper area, where the hardware goes or maybe use a small piece of double-sided tape in the area & also on that outer area on the side where there's no prongs to secure it. I just found this video on a person making vinyl key fobs, she offers some very helpful info, so check this out, ruclips.net/video/4J7dydMBGYs/видео.html
So the htv is heat pressed onto the wrong side of the faux leather and then the thickness of the faux leather does not budge at the ends under the prongs. It is a really tight joining and it will not shift. No glue or tape necessary. I made these years ago and they’ve held up well. I still use one of them for my car keys every day and it still look brand new.
To close the jump rings easier you should use the flat nose pliers
Love the honeycomb print faux, I pretty much love anything bee related as I call my daughter honey bee as a nickname hehe so cute!!
It’s one of my favs and it glitters too!!
This lady is awesome at explaining this project.. First one I done came out beautiful. Thank you so much Bethany for a fantastic tutorial.

Could you put the entire sheet of faux leather to the htv and iron it, and then cut it into strips?
Absolutely! Especially if you are wanting to make a bunch of the same color combo. Great idea!
We are so super excited to be partnering with you! What an adorable craft with your box!

Do you think I could just press the HTV to the Faux Leather first before cutting into strips?
Absolutely!! Great idea if you plan to make a lot of the same design!
Could you customize the outside of the faux leather with a name using htv?
Absolutely. Do that first.
I love this idea. Can you tell me what you would charge for these?
I don’t sell my crafts. I teach others how to make them for themselves through my tutorials.
Can you use the textured faux leather and are you using a smooth faux leather?
Where did u purchase ur ruler that u used to cut ur faux leather strips?
I have no clue as I’ve had that ruler for ages. You can probably find a similar one in the ruler section of a fabric store. I use it most for cutting fabric.
What is the thickness of the faux leather?
do you have to put the HTV on the back of the leather??
Nope totally optional but a fun way to jazz it up!
Супер, умница.
