    Hi thanks for sharing this video, I am curious about something as you're using vinyl, it looks slippery, so what's to keep the key fob together, I mean from the upper area where there is no sharp prongs going thru that one side, couldn't it start to slip its way out, if I was doing this with vinyl or nearly any type of material, I believe that I would first add a bit of glue into that inner upper area, where the hardware goes or maybe use a small piece of double-sided tape in the area & also on that outer area on the side where there's no prongs to secure it. I just found this video on a person making vinyl key fobs, she offers some very helpful info, so check this out, ruclips.net/video/4J7dydMBGYs/видео.html

      So the htv is heat pressed onto the wrong side of the faux leather and then the thickness of the faux leather does not budge at the ends under the prongs. It is a really tight joining and it will not shift. No glue or tape necessary. I made these years ago and they’ve held up well. I still use one of them for my car keys every day and it still look brand new.

    Hello, great tutorial! What is the size of the finished blanket?

    • @CraftwithBethany
      @CraftwithBethany Месяц назад

      Size will vary greatly by how big for small you make your loops. And over time it will stretch out some. I recommend getting the width you want with your first chain and then keep adding length until you are happy with the size. This large blanket covers my queen been.

    Projector patterns instead of paper?!? That’s so stinkin’ awesome! 🤯

  • @trudylmiller

    I’m 95% self-taught, but I’d LOVE to learn to make my garments look more professional. (I’ve never had complaints about anything I’ve ever made. “Real” seamstresses and sewists are often shocked by how good my seams look and how well my garments look even on the inside. I just would like to feel more like I know what I’m doing.) Any tips or resources I could benefit from? I’m almost 44. I started learning to sew when I was a kid. My dad always needed his dress pants shortened a bit and my mom got tired of altering them so she taught me how to hem by hand, and also how to sew on a button. I still hem by hand, and my stitches are nearly invisible. I only started using a machine about 20 years ago. Mom tried to teach me how to sew clothes and how to use patterns when I was a teenager, but I “would never need to know how to do that old fogey stuff” so I never let her teach me. Thank God for RUclips! It’s saved my hide more than once! 😂

    I have a question about your digital machine. Do you like it? Any tips or tricks you’d pass along? I just got the HD6800c. I’ve had computerized machines before, but this one is a bit different. I think I’m just apprehensive because it’s different than my old brother machines. (I just needed something heavy duty because I tend to sew a LOT when I’m sewing, and it has worn out my other machines. So I traded up, I hope.)

      I would look up the standard size of a queen comforter to when you start your blanket keep measuring your first chain until it’s the width of a queen comforter then start adding rows measuring as you go until it’s the length of a queen comforter.

    • @CraftwithBethany
