I always feel weird and bashful trying to sell my resin crafts. I usually give things away as gifts but feel odd about trying to sell items. Does anyone else have this problem & if so how have you overcome it?

I'm the same. Been making resin items since 2020 and I have hardly sold any 🙈🙈🙈

Pop your art on the local Facebook marketplace. I did last year at this time with a few examples.. I put a couple pieces that had names & personal pics (with permission) and I had calls within the day!! A nice gentleman said ‘Omgoodness I have been looking for you for a long time. I need a couple cups for my brothers & I at a football game!!’ He told me the team colors & sent me some photos. I made a design in Cricut design space and explained to him that it would be wrapped around, glittered etc.. sent him the actual computer screenshot lol It was so scary until we started texting/talking & then I realized I knew my stuff. So do you! Do it soon bc Christmas is the best time to get some people in. Valentines is another good thing. If your items aren’t ready, do that last step or two & post them! I say that bc I’m always leaving the last thing for ‘someday’ ..we’ve prob all got lots of nearly done projects we can sell. And as another thought.. I did not have fancy bags or bows. I used what I had bc they’re going to re wrap it up anyways. All that can be done later, if ever 😂😂 ~~Post your art. There’s always haters.. but some people love handmade art!

Yes but I feel like it's not good enough n have no clue what to charge or im afraid no one will buy my stuff. Everyone tells me I should sell my creations n the try to encourage me but I still don't. Idk, but you are not alone. Lol
Oh and I make everything along with resin also. It gets really expensive n I jus give it away. Smh

I've been making resin and wood pieces for years and I was running out of room to store them, I finally just did a market with them and sold bugger all but went back the next week anyway and sold a few items and so then back the next week and sold even more and now I have a few people wanting personalized items, you just gotta put yourself out there and try.

I feel the same way about selling my resin items but I had my niece ask me to make her something and I did. She loved it so much that she payed me extra and who is going to say no to extra cash. Lol 😆 I had made some earrings and necklace and my other niece bought them, when I said for you 30 dollars and she said heck no and gave me 60.

You know what would be a nice add-on sale? Custom made matching coasters. They would only take you a few minutes to make, and would be a very high perceived value item.

That table came out gorgeous Steve and the black edge and legs really set it off, once you added the resin it just came to life! Being one of a kind definitely makes it worth the price tag. Personally I thought it was worth more than you sold it for. It's really stunning! God bless you Steve and all those you love and I hope you have a great weekend!

Turned out great! I covered a wire spool table with diecut paper (the edges look like lace) and used resin to cover and it took a lot of patience... and resin (i didnt want to fill the gap between the boards on top so you could still see them through the resin and it took so much resin to fill them in). I love seeing what you make!

That table is gorgeous! Congratulations on getting another commission for more! 👍 Mmmm, you know what might look cool on those tables? Some gorgeous, iridescent black coasters with gold and/or silver flakes placed sort of like what you've got there. First layer super thin clear just to hold the flakes in the pattern you put down, then a yummy black background! 😊

I am wanting to cover a table top with olive shells in a herringbone pattern and have been researching the right resin for months. The shells are about 1/2 inch deep, so since you had a good experience with this resin, I will make sure it can handle that depth and give it a try. I don't plan on leaving much of a gap between shells, so I think it will work?? Thanks for doing all the experimenting for me again Steve!

I am so not ready to go there. 🤪 I had thought maybe I could make it less intimidating and start with doll house resin tables but really... does anyone even use dollhouses anymore... ? - Heidi

At what point would move away from the tabletop resin to a deep pour? I am preparing to do a table top with some small pieces that I have poured using leftovers and have been collecting. I am going to set them in the bottom and pour clear over them but I am not sure if it's too deep for a regular table top resin and would require deep pour instead. Or should I do deep pour up to near the top and finish with the table top? It's my first big project and I want to get it right.
