In an instant the fate of a little one changes and all they knew & their young eager minds that was safe and good is no more. Confidence in themselves is shattered and the road back requires solid mental and physical help right away, the work is a heavy load but success in removing the shame they now live with, gaining back their lives, loving themselves again and gaining confidence in their capabilities and talents, looking forward to their journey and what lies ahead is everything. It's funny someone commented here that they miss him. That's exactly what I feel whenever I think his name or hear his voice. He was mine. He had a space he held for a connection just for me. I was in the same room with him and I sat as he talked, played and sang while I listened. And smiled. His simply being in the world exactly who he was gave me an unexplainable peace and a simple appreciation for my life with him in it. He never set his eyes on my face but he knew me I could tell. He was me. But God his voice. It will warm me and bring tears for as long as I live and as long as I live every time I hear it I will think...I miss him...he was part of me...I miss him.
