Whenever I felt like I didn’t want to be around anymore, I would play this version of Bob Dylan and it always brought a smile to my face. This year has been incredibly difficult for me, but it’s simple things that bring you happiness when you are in the dark. A friend. A lovely meal. Amazing music. Glad to be alive to hear great music
Good to hear an Irish Band cover a great song that "...was influenced of course by the Irish and Scottish ballads..."-Bob Dylan 1985, to Cameron Crowe (Rolling Stone Editor)
I never would have thought that PP&M version could have been improved upon. It almost feels like a sacrilidge to write this; but - Terrific Job & Improved version!!!!
he probably reads them to make sure he doesnt mess up on a recorded version, I just saw them last feb. and they performed this song for there encore, Love Dave King, and Love Bob Dylan, got Bobby tatted on my right arm, so that was a special treat hearing them perform this song. when i saw bob he didnt perform this although he did do, all along the watch tower, Like a rolling stone, lay lady lay, tweedle dee and tweedle dum and bunches of others.
They don't seem to have much fun recording this. One exception @ 2:34 . But he was probably fired after his selfish display of enjoyment. Still a great performance though, they took this timeless song to a new (for me at least) level.
You can never be sure nowadays. This looks like honestly produced, incidental studio footage. But did the beer bottle label just happen to be facing camera? Even if so, they just might be willing to give you royalties for that. ;-)
Wasn't quite prepared for this level of awesome.
nickyboy22071989 took the words right out of my brain!!! HOLY FUCK that was INSANELY AWESOME
I read your comment first and was still not ready
Me either!
I was excited, but not excited enough!
A version I never knew I needed. 👏👏👏. Yes, they are

From a huge Dylan fan, this is spectacular.
Patrick Clark Dylan is my favorite of all time and I also love flogging molly but I’m such a purist. But this was sincerely fucking awesome
I agree I love it
Incredible. What a perfect fit. Flogging Molly is the perfect band to cover this song.
I so glad RUclips doesn’t make me watch a commercial for each time I watch/listen to this, Over and over again. Awesome!
Love it! Finally a cover different from the others! Thumb up!!!
Ikr? Like I get that it's a classic, but creative liberty feels really dead when it comes to most covers of this song.
It takes real class to make a cover and give it your own twist. That's exactly what they've done. Coming from a Floggin molly and Bob Dylan fan!
one of the greatest tribute songs ever. it lends a sense of hope and joy to the old classic.
This just made me so happy, my favorite band covering my favorite song!
A great Nobel Prize for a great poet!
One of my favorite punk bands covering my favorite Bob Dylan song
Flogging Molly really know how to make a song theirs!!That's the best cover of this song!!!

OMG thats a great cover! Awesome.A good song without loose flogging molly style.
GREAT version!
I haven't got a clue about Bob but I do know he's a legend. So to hear so many compliments towards Dave really makes happy.
Love everything about Flogging Molly, Beautiful band :)
These guys are my heart! I love them all! More George is needed though…. BarbWireDolls
Great cover....I think what makes a great cover is putting your own twist on it and Flogging Molly did a great job
lol times are a-changin but this song never gets old
"And don't criticize
What you can't understand" - Bob Dylan
I just saw that and was about to post it!! Haha!! Even the irish cannot resist the most interesting man in the world!!
This song led to me discovering the band... Amazing.
somebody said somewhere when presented to this song: "my life is complete now"
i couldn't agree more

I love that the singer for one of my favorite bands looks like an actuary on his day off.
Damn - they own it -- one of Dylan's biggest fans
Awesome cover version
I love the way the Irish cover Dylan, LOVE THE IRISH!!
Epic!! Love it!!!

Magnificent cover ☘️❤️🌹🇮🇪🎶
👑KINGTASTIC!!👑
Parody a MUST!
In this day and age a punk version of this is severely appropriate.Love it!
Vice Squad did a punk cover of it in 81....
I never would have thought that PP&M version could have been improved upon. It almost feels like a sacrilidge to write this; but - Terrific Job & Improved version!!!!

I love this way more than I should….
Demo against 'The First One' in Woolwich, SE London, tonight covered by the BBC. This wonderful song as relevant asd ever!!
great tribute
There are tons of them if you know where to look. You're right though; King and Dylan are amazing.
My favorite track from the album.

araminta self It is !!
It sounds so amazing.

amazing rendition
Awesome rendition .. Erin go bragh !!
Really good
Wow that was good.
Perfection.
The Neve? It was very much part of the recording process! The audio signal path was the Neve to the Apogee Symphony I/O interfaces.
Wow awesome :")
only 5x,000 views? common people!!!
lets help flogging molly and bob dylan bump this shit up!!!
1,2,3 GO!!!
You just cant beat the Irish !!!! Great cover
The only desert to an Irishman is an empty glass... Great cover, surprised Dave needed a lyric sheet though.
They probably did it in a couple days only. A lot goes on in a studio before a band gets to a stage performance.
good point
Dave got me here. He likes the best music♥
awesome
I always heard it as a "one-two-three" count-in and I still do.
excellent
Still here October 2021 ❤👍
Awesome
Wow !
The times are definitely changing.
Congrats.
Never thought TTTAAC could be so rousing. ❤
So tight.
AWESOME
Yes...no one ever does that in session recordings. Those are just like public performances....
🔥🔥🔥
C'mon flogging molly make a new album
There are at least two left handers in this band. Didn't realize that.
Yeahh!
sweet!
What is the name of that little flute you always hear in celtic music? I love that damn thing.
Indeed , they are :)
They don't seem to have much fun recording this. One exception @ 2:34 . But he was probably fired after his selfish display of enjoyment.

Pure Irish folk
Missing a few "OY"s, but I love this!!!!
you're the best
Me too. Is dave thinking about doing a cover of this?
Even better than the Wanderers (with Stiv Bators from the Dead Boys) version!
I don't Usually like covers, but when i do, they're made by Flogging Molly
This guy knows.
Check out Dave's previous band Fastway if you get the chance.
I like tha face at 2:03 lol (and the song of course)
So in love with Nathan Maxwell
