- Here's a quick tutorial on how to unbrick/unroot your Xiaomi Android device stuck on fastboot. Sometimes your Xiaomi device can get stuck on fastboot like it did several times for me on my Xiaomi Mi 9 while installing a custom ROM. If you happen to flash the wrong stuff, this can easily happen but no worries, there's an easy fix. This works for all Xiaomi smartphones. I was using a GCam tool and the tool auto-locked my bootloader and now I'm stuck with the system destroyed message and I cant access TWRP and cant flash this stock img file with the flashtool. what can I do?

Hey! Your tutorials are always the best. I broke my Mi 10's screen and had to go back to my Redmi 4 Prime. I tried to root it but ended up getting stuck on the Fastboot screen. I made a mistake of looking at other tutorials then I remembered you! Followed each step carefully and...VOILA! Redmi 4 Prime is back in business! Thanks!!
Just a tip. Make sure that you put the extracted tar file on your desktop. The lesser the folder the Mi FLash tool is going to go through, the better, otherwise, you'll encounter problems flashing the original ROM.
Good to hear! I made this tutorial so it can work for any xiaomi phone.
You need to have unlocked bootloader to flash... I never wanted to do that, cuz I didn't expect such crash message after trying to downgrade. If I would done it earlier I have to use a lot of patches for gpay and services like that (didn't want to do this because of chance of being bricked)... So now I end up with brick with locked bootloader, lucky me.

I had a water damaged of my Poco F3, it suddenly acted weird, then its dead. Later i tried to switch on, it goes directly to the fastboot screen, and nothing can be done it will always goes to that screen. I disassembled the phone, and found water at the bottom speaker, I clean it and dry it for two days. Btw my phone unlocked and used PixelPlus Rom at that time. Then still no luck after ive tried everything i can found in the net. Then i tried your method, and have to like three times before I could flash my phone. The weird things is that the mi flash tools shows error, the flash is not completed, " not catch checkpoint," But this time the phone boot to the Rom. Im so glad and thanks a lot to you man!
The only things that confused me is how can water damaged makes my phone goes to fastboot screen? As my phone already unlocked, using twrp and custom Rom and this factor makes my phone weird after water damaged?
And then " not catch checkpoint," the flash is not done: this is the message i got but the phone booted normally later. Dont get me wrong im deeply grateful but it just weird.

Hi Max, i have a problem with my mi9. I tried to flash it and chose the clean and lock option. But the rom I chose didn't work, now the phone is in fastboot mode and I can't flash it, because, I think the lock has been removed. What I can do?
Thanks dude it really helped my fuck up of deleting system on twrp. For those that have an issue with MiFlash saying "cannot find flash script", just create an empty folder named "log". Then the install button for the driver will work. Follow the rest of the video to get it working.
Also it seems you can unlock the phone using the MiUnlock program even if you are stuck in fastboot. The program seems to be able to detect and tell me the phone was already unlocked before

I was up all night trying to figure out how to bring back my Mi 9 back to life -
Did every step in this tutorial, but nothing good happened. Then I randomly tried re-flashing using the good old Mi Assistant (on PC) and Recovery Mode (on the phone), IT WORKS!!! And it only took me like... 10 minutes (only for the flashing part). And you guys can download the recovery ROMs from Xiaomi's official website. Goodluck!
If for some reason you already installed ADB drivers but your phone is not being detected on miflash then open the miflash folder and create a new folder named "log" then refresh miflash and your device should appear on the list

When I flashed a ROM to happen to do I forget to change the "'close ..." for "clear all". Since that time I can't to flash Rom, I can't to flash or run TWRP and Magisk.

if your MI FLASH TOOL don't see your phone just create new folder on Mi flash tool folder and name it "LOG" then install drivers again, they should install done and mi flash toll start seeing your phone after refresh him

Hi, I have a redmi 5 plus china version flashed with pixel experience caf rom, can I flash a global rom directly on the device or do i have to go back to the Chinese version and flash the global rom?

You did explained that the .tar file needs to be extract once more so it could appear when you copy the path and paste it to Mi flash tool. That was awesome. Great tutorial, I went all the way to the end, however after flashing my device ang getting a success result with an elapse time of 0 seconds, the phone still on the fastboot screen and when I unplug the phone an try to boot it again it will remain on logo screen with no further action just as before flashing the firmware.

Mine is Redmi note 7. The screen shows The System has been destroyed. Vol+ and power button combine doesn't work. Vol - and power button takes it to fastboot. The phone bootloader is in locked state. I don't remember the MI account credentials. What should I do

Is there a way to flash without unlocking bootloader? Like restoring the rom. Something happened to my Not 7 and cant get past the boot logo.

mine finishes in couple of seconds when I use the flashtool and choose keep data and files. When I run the bst file on its own its says locked bootloader, and to unlock it I need to wipe everything which I dont want. I am still sesrching for a way to rewcue the data and unbrick my phone which is stuck in bootloop. Offering 30€ to anyone who can solve my problem

this doesn't work if you have no way of unlocking bootloader(in case you didn't bind your phone while it was still working)
doesn't work. the phone bootloader is locked. and the miaccount wants the confirmation code to send by sms to number which i no longer have. and no email was ever added to miacc.
