I really don't get why just changing the folder name of the MIUI ROM for your phone made this difference, but for me it did. 30 minutes ago I was desperate for 2 days, then right after writing the first comment, it just worked. so fricking weird. Power + Volume down I didnt try the instructions in the video. What fixed it for me was holding down power and volume down buttons But im going to like ur video anyway bc it seems uve helped a lot of people. thank you

A few additional issues and solutions I ran into myself: 1) I I tried to flash a wrong folder once and afterwards the phone would reset on every fastboot command from my PC, even when reopening the Mi Flash tool or restarting my PC. I proceeded to install Mi Flash on another computer and try to refresh it there and it magically worked. Whether I needed to reinstall Mi Flash or it was the other computer that did the trick I'm not sure. 2) While Rick says to download the latest Chinese developer version, Rick installed the normal Chinese version in the video. I've tried both this version, the latest stable ROM and the latest developer ROM. The latest china developer ROM fastboot (9.6.20) is the correct one. The stable ROM had broken wifi and didn't allow me to access the bootloader. xiaomifirmware.com/roms/download-official-miui-roms-for-xiaomi-mi-8-se/ 3) After downloading that fastboot rom, there's a TAR file INSIDE of a Tar.gz file. You need to extract the Tar file to somewhere. Then RENAME that Tar file and put .zip at the end instead of .tar. It will give some "this can corrupt files" blabla just press yet. Now you can open the zip file and THEN drag that folder inside of it into separate folder. Then select that folder as for the Mi Flash tool (don't forget to set it to clean all and NOT clean all and lock)

I did this to my new poco F3 that has fastboot stuck, then the third time flash it after errors, the phone boot to Miui. The weird thing is the flash stated as incomplete, not success. But the phone boot and working just fine now. Any idea why?

I would go almost the oldest. My way of thinking there would a higher chance a old Chinese rom combined with a newer twrp recovery Should give you Less chance of bricking the phone + the recovery should install

Hi, got the samt problem today. I downloaded the latest CHina developers Rom from the source as described. Thing is, there is no flash_all.bat file in the download! They only show boot.img and some .dat and.dat.br files. Nothing more. what should I do? Using 7zip to unzip. Thanks

if i had a vendor / dealer rom on my Mi8SE i would first attempt to unlock the bootloader, if that is successful i would need install TWRP + Custom rom If all that failed, i would follow the video we are commenting on and do a full Wipe and fresh

I am so proud of myself that I almost cried! I decided to investigate a little more about the commands, because I though to myself "if my computer is able to execute commands, maybe I'm able to trick the fastboot", so I erased all partitions (one by one) and installed all possible images (also one by one) through ADB commands and it actually worked!! Now I'm just having issues with TWRP, because no matter what version I flash, as soon as I wipe all partitions I get stuck again in fastboot loop (which I'm able to fix with the method I mentioned above)
@@ultimatexlr-8 so basically you download a chinese rom from the website, extract the file and flash every image (boot, cache, dust, recovery, all of them) manually using minimal tools app on a computer, that way you'll get it working

you might have to go down the path of EDL flashing Which will involve opening the phone up and connecting two pins together, then flashing via software

You should be able to just change language in the settings of the Xiaomi

you will need to do an EDL flash , the back cover of the phone needs to be taken off and two pin points pushed in

There is a high chance this wont help you, or you have another issue. I just wanted to roll back from the 12.1.4 which ruined my phone, to the 12.0.5 which worked well. And I got stuck on fastboot and couldn't do anything. Then I tried the 12.0.9, which still the proximity sensor and auto brightness don't work, but now I'm scared to try to go even further to 12.0.5 :P

got the samt problem today. I downloaded the latest CHina developers Rom from the source as described. Thing is, there is no flash_all.bat file in the download! They only show boot.img and some .dat and.dat.br files. Nothing more. what should I do? Using 7zip to unzip. Thanks
Can you put up the file name ?
Did you make sure the one you grabbed had "fastboot" in its name not recovery

@@AlceRiders by the sounds of it you will need to do an EDL Flash, which will involve opening up the phone and pushing 2 test points

So unless you are wanting to put on a custom rom, there is not much point unlocking

The problem I have now is Miflash also cannot see my device. It only can be seen at fastboot sceen. Tried Xiaomi flash tools v2, it also didn't see my device too...so piss-off when trying Miui Pro rom!!!

if i had a vendor / dealer rom on my Mi8SE
i would first attempt to unlock the bootloader, if that is successful
i would need install TWRP + Custom rom
If all that failed, i would follow the video we are commenting on and do a full Wipe and fresh

@@leozx2314 it will require opening up the phone and pushing a couple metal pads on the mainboard while plugging in power to get it to EDL mode
I am so proud of myself that I almost cried! I decided to investigate a little more about the commands, because I though to myself "if my computer is able to execute commands, maybe I'm able to trick the fastboot", so I erased all partitions (one by one) and installed all possible images (also one by one) through ADB commands and it actually worked!! Now I'm just having issues with TWRP, because no matter what version I flash, as soon as I wipe all partitions I get stuck again in fastboot loop (which I'm able to fix with the method I mentioned above)
@@ultimatexlr-8 so basically you download a chinese rom from the website, extract the file and flash every image (boot, cache, dust, recovery, all of them) manually using minimal tools app on a computer, that way you'll get it working

you might have to go down the path of EDL flashing
Which will involve opening the phone up and connecting two pins together, then flashing via software
