Great buddy ❤️ excellent explanation for the new comers 👍 1 question I am on latest evoX so in future updates of evoX should i need to clean flash the rom everytime or dirty flash will work in future evoX updates ??
When you're updating manually, boot into recovery. Flash latest vendor/firmware, Flash latest EvoX Update zip file or rom file, flash fcrypt disaber if decrypted and then reboot. No need to wipe anything.
Yes it was quite a journey. Forgot to hit record in OBS once had to redo the whole shooting couple of times. If this helps you guys of course it would be totally worth it😍
Very helpful guide, probably the most complete one out there. But I have some questions left. 1. Do we need to flash the latest firmware if my k20 pro is on the latest build for the custom rom ? 2. What is the difference between the fastboot firmware and the vendor + firmware zip ? 3. Do we need to flash Fcrypt disabler for Evolution X or can we skip it. Someone told me I do not need Fcrypt disabler if my phone is encrypted. Thanks for your replies
If you wish to keep the storage decrypted then YES you have to flash the dfe everytime you flash/update your rom. Otherwise if you wanna go encrypted way then you don't need it.
Great video i came from your latest video on miui12.5, but i have doubt why you flashed firmware file before evo x rom. please reply. and what firmware means is it different from stock rom??
Because EvoX needs latest miui firmware to run. You can think of it like a base for a structure. Without the base the structure won't stand or work properly. Hence we need the latest base(firmware) in order to have the latest structure(EvoX build) get it?

So glad to hear from you. Thank you for the appreciation❤️
And also give detail info about cache/ dalvik cache, vendor, system etc which is required for wipe whenever installing custom rom.
I did that in this video: ruclips.net/video/1zMKdZS727o/видео.html
@@KTNTECH please give review of legion os as that rom became official and heard good things about that legion and derpfest as told previously
Hello sorry if I still disturb you I have the Redmi K20 Pro premium 12/512 in bootloop.Which Fastboot firmware do you recommend to use? Thanks Franco
First I need to know what did you do that the device got into bootloop
All the download link for ADB fastboot on that XDA post is dead. I cant download any of them.
Hey, so why u didn't wiped any dalvic or cache? Actually i had doubt on wiping those could you please explain!
Because I formatted data and rebooted recovery once. That does it all.
If you're just switching roms then wipe cache, dalvik, system , vendor, data.
Flash firmware, rom, fcrypt disabler. Reboot
@@KTNTECH i have the same doubt.,, why asking because, I've this weird storage issue.
My system storage shows 21 GB while others have 12GB, 14GB and even 11GB.. why is this? I checked system_updates folder and all ota folders in recovery.. i couldn't find anything.. and funny is my Files storage shows minus 1.2 GB.. any idea?
@@MultiCj007 I saw someone posted on the telegram group of raphael evo x that clean flash with format data, wiping: system, cache, dalvik, data minimizes system storage to 14gb
@@icvel this youtube guy already did that in his earlier vdo.. latest flashing guide video doesn't have it. Yes, i flashed like that.. and am at 14GB now.

Hi buddy
I saw there are a few versions of ROM in the Xiaomi official website.
1. Can I flash Mi 9T Pro ROM on a K20 Pro?
2. Does the K20 Pro India version support Google services?
Thank you in advance!
Send me a link or something of the rom. I will tell you if you can flash it on K20 pro or not. It depends
You're best ever bro
I Have a firmware update file (size 100 M) , and firmware file (size 800 M ) . Now what will be the sequence of my file installation ?
Now you should go with that 100mb one.
So inorder to flash Quartz 4 extended from latest Evo X with 12.0.2 Indian firmware (which I'm currently on), I can just wipe the caches, system, data and then flash the PA rom right ? And then if I need to flash Evo X from PA, it's the same right ? Do I need to flash the vendor each time ?
As PA Quartz is based on OSS vendor so you can switch from EvoX to PA Quartz without flashing vendor/firmware. But when you switch from PA Quartz to EvoX you have to flash firmware/vendor first.
@@KTNTECH thanks bro
Awesome, thank you!
I have installed evo x rom for k20 pro months ago but now Im facing a problem, the updates are not installing in the device it just takes me to the orange fox recovery and then nothing happen. Im on 4.3 evo x bulied right now
Any solution??
Does your recovery ask password? I would recommend formatting data once and doing. Clean flash
I am facing a problem in evolution X
Wan I plug in earphone no call sound come
My earphone is realme buds 2
Any fix available please help only 1 problem I'm having
Currently I'm using evolution X 4.4 because this version is more stable for gaming 0% lag
The last time I move to custom rom was when I was on miui 11.0.4 so if I ever have to go back to miui I have to flash 11.0.4 with the miflash tool?
Nope. You can flash any miui version as of that day whichever is latest at the time of flashing.
@@KTNTECH It shows mismatch error
which is better ...... evolution x or pixel experience.....and is the process same for pixel experience
Yes process is same. What's better is upto you. If you like less customisation go with pixel experience. Otherwise go with EvolutionX

Sir as I flash custom ROM after flashing Miui vendor file, after that if I want to change ROM then what is flash Mui's vendor or current custom rom vendor
Flash miui vendor everytime before flashing rom
Sir i want to change the rom (cyberpunk oxyzen os but it has saprate the system file and the vender file what can i do to flash it safly with any boot loop or brick help me plz
For those you don't need to flash any seperate vendor I think.
You just need to wipe cache, dalvik, system, data and vendor before flashing.
But I won't quite recommend using those as primary there could be a lot of issues by flashing them or later
a custom rom has personal vender Inside the zip file??
So what about the miui vendor file
if i am on latest miui stock rom and want to flash corvus os latest rom then do i have to flash miui vendor? another question is why did you flash miui vendor?
Hey, i was following your guide for my K20 (Davinci), and my phone was getting stuck in a bootloop. I downloaded all files specifically for Davinci, except for the Fcrypt file, since I was not able to find anything specific for davinci. So I then tried to flash firmware and the ROM, and avoided the fcrypt file, and it seems to work for me. Can you help me find the fcrypt file for Davinci?

Bro do you have a recommendation for custom rom k20pro that passed safetynet?(googe pay & banking app works,)
After I brought my K20 Pro Premium last December, I already applied for unlocking my bootloader from the first day. After that I flashed Evolution X. I was a fan on MIUI but when I tried the stock android custom rom which is Evolution X, I never go back to MIUI ever again. But I did tried using MIUI 12 but after 10 mins of using I got tired of using and flash to Evo X again. HAHAHA
Haha this happens to me everytime I switched to miui lol
Same here bro. I bought the phone very early and I've started using custom ROMs as soon as there were stable enough ones(pretty early). I've tried MIUI 12 but they messed up the settings UI. Too much non-uniformity.
I've switched back to EVO X in a day.
Brother please make a complete guide on how to Switch to Evolution X Rom from MIUI on phone itself if we don't have a Laptop/PC! Big Fan! :)
After flashing from mi flash tool without lock how we can update to miui 12? Steps plz
You'll be getting updates eventually. Just didn't appear right away that's it
@@KTNTECH so after getting update in updater app I have to update manually or it automatically update because bootloader is unlock
You can download and install update through updater. No manual process needed.
After fastboot flashing miui you can normally get updates and install them as you used to do with out of the box miui
@@KTNTECH oh ok thanks

Suppose I'm on android 10 On my RN6Pro and I want to go back to miui11 based on android 9, should I follow same process? And what about Anti roll back
You see I'll be moving to older android version
You may end up with broken sensors due toh Android 10>9 but fastboot flashing should not be a huge issue. It should work.
@@KTNTECH it won't brick my phone right? Due to Anti roll back
Can't i flash the miui recovery rom through orange fox recovery so that my recovery stays there just like redmi note 3 like you've flashed miui fastboot rom through mi tool, after reverting it to miui from custom rom you have to flash custom recovery again if you wanna flash custom rom again? And one more thing i have to flash firmware every time i flash a new custom rom or miui rom?
it says error 7 with three possible reasons 1. Wrong device.
2.Wrong Firmware.
3.Corrupt zip
