Want to attract greater happiness, health, success, wealth and love into your life? Then this interview with self-love expert and Silicon Valley entrepreneur Kamal Ravikant author of the runaway bestseller Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It, is for you!
Kamal wasn’t always a self-help expert. He was a successful tech start-up expert until the last company he started completely blew up. He lost friends, investors, his savings, his health, determination, and everything he had. Depressed and dejected, he holed himself up in bed in a dark room, saying “feeling depressed was on my better days”.
But then one day, he couldn’t take it anymore, and crawled to his journal, where he made a sacred vow with himself. That vow would transform his life, and the lives of countless others.
His life rebounded, his health took off, relationships improved, and even his finances dramatically turned around.
Then he wrote a book on it which became an overnight sensation!
In this inspiring interview you’ll learn about his sacred vow, how me made it, kept it, and his secret to transforming your life.
You’ll leave with the tools you need to make each moment magical and with a beaming ear-to-ear smile!
    Key Topics:
-- how to change your life from the inside-out
-- how commitment is the fastest way to building self-confidence
-- how sometimes a lack of resources leads to the best innovation
-- how humans are still animals and how you can use this to your advantage
-- when your life isn't going well, ask yourself, "Who am I being?"
-- how sometimes Kamal still gets lazy, falls, gets back up again
-- how special people started appearing in his life
-- why things don't always work out the way Kamal wants
-- why Kamal only does things that he cares about
-- why Kamal doesn’t believe in “fake it till you make it”
-- the answer Kamal got when he asked a monk the secret to inner peace
-- the root cause of why you suffer
-- what it means for you to say “yes” to life
-- how Kamal was terrified of publishing his first book and how you can overcome fear
-- how the world responds when you share your truth
-- how the people you surround yourself affect your personal development
-- how Kamal honed his writing skills by spending time with Hemmingway
-- why it’s important to allow yourself to feel painful emotions
-- the best contribution you can make to the world
-- how to uncover the best version of yourself
-- what it means to live your truth and how
-- an important lesson about suffering Kamal learned at 18 in the army
-- why you shouldn’t be seduced by instant success
    Top 3 Pieces of Advice:
realize the power of commitment to yourself, to who you want to be...
surround yourself by people who are the best at whatever it is you want to master…
know that if another human being can do something, so can you...

Great interview, both Michael and Kamal. I just read Kamal's novel - nonstop because it was such good storytelling and so simply told. He has studied his Hemingway - he cuts to the bone with his narrative style, no extra words. And then I also just picked up the ebook version of Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It - and wanting to know why I waited so long. And then it turned out to be the perfect time for me, because I had just recently hit bottom. And the book and the idea for it is the magic Kamal promises it will be. So touched by this interview and how Michael handled it, how Kamal responded from the heart. Thank you, both of you.

Many of the methods and techniques I've tried have failed. But I was surprised to learn that this one did make my toothache go away after reading and following the book. What a shocker!

I heard this video before and loved it. I got the book at the library and started reading it yesterday. Today I loved the book so much I went to Amazon and bought the book. It is such a GOOD book. I love Kamal's ideas and so easy to apply. Thank you ever so much Kamal and to Michael for having him on your show.

Wow, "If I was depressed, it was a good day." That's a low, low. I love your inspirational story. "If you're a value to good people, people want you around." I based my entire multi-million dollar sales career on that premise. Excellent teaching point. - Holly

sinceilostmytooth yes and no. You have to switch it up in your routine. If you're thinking about doing something for self-care or writing in the journal then by all means do the self-care thing whatever that is for you..

Love is from the inside out. In my head I love myself 100 per cent but when I muscle tested loving myself from the heart it only came up to 10% from the heart. I have work to do -Energy work and Spiritual work to do. Commitment to myself. Thanks for addressing this.

I'd rather read a book by someone that knows and shows why it works, Dr. Joe Dispenza. I can't tell what this person is really saying. Am I the only one? And yes, I heard him say "you can fake it 'til you make it:" Eckhart Tolle is very good at explaining most of this too. I can't watch anymore because he doesn't finish his thoughts or sentences most of the time.

True love gives you the ultimate fulfillment. But what is true love? "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." The Son Jesus Christ overcame death by his eternal spirit!

I just read that part in the book and Kamal said say it out loud or if you can't at least whisper it. He didn't really mention saying it to yourself. I guess there is no other option when you are in a company of people. How's your life been? Did you actually get down to practicing the instructions from the book? I'm close to finishing reading it. Can't wait to dive in and test it out. I guess the best thing one can say to him-/herself is "I love you".

I think maybe he'd heard of Louise Hay.....or Science of Mind.....or even the game of Life by Florence Scovel- Scinn written in 1925...he's basically re writing what others before him have already written...nothing different...just making a shed load of money out of it....not meaning to be cynical or anything...

    • @Far7anR
      @Far7anR 5 лет назад +5

He originally was and still is an entrepreneur. His books are all ridiculously cheap - I don't think he is in it for the money. If you read about him and how he began writing, you will see that he only started publishing at the behest of others. And I am pretty sure Louise Hay or Florence Scovel Shinn didn't just invent things out of thin air, anyways. This stuff has been around for generations upon generations.

@@lorelaigilmore813 I bought the Kindle ebook for $2.99, and it was still that way when I last checked. However, I noticed that the ebook has been pulled from Amazon, and that a newer edition of the book is coming out in January 2020.
I think the prices just jumped recently because, without the ebook - which I think was the main way this rather short book was purchased - the "demand" has risen according to Amazon algorithms. All the used books and paperback books are now the only way to get it, and the book being as popular as it is, Amazon algorithm are taking advantage. We will see what happens after the newer edition is published.
The newer edition seems to be around $13.00 to preorder, so either that is just another algorithm thing, or there have been substantial changes and additions to the original text (which was really short, so this is a real possibility) or finally, he just decided to up the price.
If the latter is the case, so be it. For years it was cheaper than a burger, and even at $13.00 it is still cheaper than new, fresh publications from Louise Hay or Wayne Dyer or Abraham Hicks or whatever. $13.00 is fair for a book.
