U forgot "discovering who u are"
Simply amazing
To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself❤
"go beyond hating yourself and also going beyond loving yourself" I guess this's deeply liberating!
The most liberating change about learning to love yourself was no longer seeking approval from others. As I embraced self-respect and self-love, I stopped worrying about others opinions and behaviours to gain their approval.
Yet you remain with your approval of yourself which in crisis can become an issue. According to Tolle and Buddhism there is another step beyond that.
I say payers of self love and forgiveness every morning. I was severely abused and shamed by my mother as a child. Since I started saying that I love myself unconditionally I am a kinder, more peaceful person. It’s not about self image, it’s just about love. I meditate daily as well. So loving yourself and being present are not mutually exclusive.

I am living without the need for any self/identity/image and I feel so light and free. A huge burden has lifted off me.
The trick is in maintaining that feeling. Our egos are always at work trying to stay at the front & center of distraction like total attention hogs.
@@D_Isness 🙌 👏 🙏 🤝 👍
Well put
This is the most liberating feeling ever I feel so blessed to have discovery it.
I've always been aware of the dichotomy of the (fear-fed) ego-self vs one's (love-led) Inner/Higher Self. So I've never derived my sense of self from my societal/occupational roles or relationship to others. A woman who returned from an NDE said that while she was "on the other side", she was no one's mother/daughter/wife/sister/boss/whatever. "I was just ME", she reported.
Well, such has been my conscious experience since childhood, hence my perpetual lightness of being, my freedom. I apply no labels to myself; I have never even called myself a "woman", haha, as I'm aware of the litany of assumptions/beliefs that attend the construction of womanhood.
I'm just enjoying this earthly journey in a biologically female vehicle of flesh-and-bone--I take good care of it but never identify with it. My strongest connection/bond has always been to my Inner (true) Self. All roads--paved in whatever manner of experience--lead Home to one's Self. I'm already Home.
When they said she was going crazy, she was awakening.
When they said that she was isolating, she was healing.
When they said she was acting funny, she was growing.
When they said that she had changed, she was evolving.
When they said she did not care anymore, she finally realized that her peace lives within.
And when she died they said rest in peace agreeing with her finally.
Hey, did you write this? It’s beautiful
Beautiful! Thank you!

Valuing and caring for yourself in a way that honors your worth and well being
99.9% of our happiness and unhappiness is a direct result of the stories we tell ourselves. The story of how wonderful or how terrible we are, is just that, a story. Being happy and enjoying this wonderful experience is so much easier and much much more honest without all the mind created horror stories and self delusional ego created stories we tell ourselves about ourselves and others. Without the story everything is just fine 99.9% of the time🙏🙏🙏🙏
How to remind ourselves this?
@@funkywarrior3906 Hi, I personally find the easiest way is to just say to myself " it's just a story" no more no less. I don't need to analyse, debate or reason with my mind why it's a story any more because I have long since accepted that all thoughts, opinions on, ideas and beliefs are produced by the mind and there for can't possibly be anything but a mind story. What is, is and can be experienced by all without thoughts (Sun and Moon) but absolutely everything and anything that is dependent on attention and belief for its existence can only ever possibly be a story, and that's all thoughts and thinking are, " just a story" in our minds 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Excellent explanation, thank you
@suits334 intelegence has absolutely nothing to do with me happiness 🙏🙏🙏🙏
❤ I have found that stepping into "presence" automatically opens up your capacity to fall in love with yourself. The more you entertain that state the more you are "loving yourself".

After a couple weeks studying hard with Louise Hay's book, I finally did the Mirror Work and everything changed. A beautiful,. expansive shift. After a few more years of letting that settle and integrate, I am so in love with myself. It takes time and courage but you can do it and no one deserves love more than you.
Love her work. So helpful.

The concept of “love” is subjective at best. Who knows what that word even means?
So true! We can love ourselves as a beautiful divine beings & not just ego. The dogs & cats are programmed with instincts & not evolved with reason like humans. May all beings be happy & free! :)

I love the message... Especially the beginning when you mentioned that animals don't have a conflict about who they are... They just are... Maybe we can learn from that. ☀️☀️
It is the self we identify with that is only a concept, that is unreal.
It is our false BELIEFS that we must let go.
I’m just not so sure that pets don’t have self-awareness. Like, dogs look ashamed when they do something “bad”, and cats almost look defiant. So it seems they do have self-awareness. They, too, seem to get anxious and depressed. Perhaps I’m missperceiving though.
Amen. That information would come natural if we lived with nature like we were designed to.
Unconsciousness has been the price we paid for evolving. Without it we would be roaming around like the cat and dog. It’s a double edged sword. We probably wouldn’t have survived our childhoods without repression. Healing yes but let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
@@Explorer129 I wonder if domestic pets absorb & then mirror the chronic emotional states of their owners?
The dog and cat analogy was astounding ! But you can apply this to any animal ; especially, to sloths , pandas, birds and insects.
And also to newborn babies who are less than 6 months old! Their pre-mind is consciousness itself ! It’s no wonder I feel this immense pull from babies . It isn’t the form that I’m attracted to,, but the consciousness that is in them .
This is a Powerful teaching!
Like you said before, "Just be, and enjoy being." -Eckhart Tolle
Or this one too, "All you really need to do is accept this moment fully. You are then at ease in the here and now and at ease with yourself." -Eckhart Tolle

You can love yourself (you actually become love itself) only when you first realize who you truly are, your higher self, and not your ego/mind/persona.
Those are the very things that make “loving “ oneself impossible.
So who is loving who then?
From my experience - We are love itself. We are love, naturally. Once we’re present / accepting / in flow / appreciating love naturally arises. Gratitude naturally arises, because we are that.
I love this way of seeing. The only time I tried psychedelics (golden teacher mushroom) the message I felt was also that, love is the only thing that's real. It's why we exist at all.

When you “love yourself”, who is loving who?
I watched this short video multiple times. It’s such a breath of fresh air and a weight off my shoulders knowing that I don’t need to love my self. It’s almost as exhausting trying to love yourself as it is hating yourself. But I don’t have to love myself. That’s an egoistic thought. An intermediate level of consciousness. Going above that level of consciousness is knowing there is no “myself” to love I am as I am. A presence. I am. No need to create this concept of identity. I am being.❤ thank you eckart for giving me this gift it’s more helpful then you could ever know……
So good ❤
Can you please explain like a grade one pupil.
@@tere0942 there is no “myself” that needs to be loved. There is just my self. A being. To love myself is like saying there is two of me. But there is just one. Myself, the consciousness. The awareness. No need to “love yourself “ because you are just a form of consciousness.

There is no need to love yourself or hate yourself,it is wasted energy to stop at this and it leads nowhere! Sensing the flow of energy that WE ARE this is vital!
It is to perceive the energy of which we are made, of which the universe is composed of.
WE are life! ❤️Is it not enough?!

Society urges us to be different, so that we’ll fit in to it. We end up feeling less than because we ARE different. And that makes people uncomfortable. Loving ourselves is portrayed as selfish, self-absorbed.
Loving ourselves is accepting ourselves and perhaps making changes that will benefit us.
"If you want to learn about not having a self image, watch your dog or your cat. They don't have an opinion about who they are. They are just who they are." Thanks Eckhart.
But people keep letting me know that im ugly, useless, not worthy to even be around, stupid, selfish etc. before people had an opinion about me I liked myself.
@@Emiliah1996 who says they're right?
@@Emiliah1996Those type of people are unconscious reacting through their egos. Their consciousness is at a different stage of evolution. Just increase being in the present and be an observer. I recommend watching Eckhart’s video on dealing with negative people❤️
How Can I Love Myself? Very simple, keep a blank page of nothing. Think about no one. Erase all the negative. Stay away from bs. And don't think about anyone. Do not bring their memories or any energy by thinking about them. Keep a blank sheet in your brain, to heal your mind from garbage. We are not perfect, somewhere in the periphery of your mind there might be some days a little of a mental construct, but it does not provide the basis for your sense of identity. You can think of your body as fat, thin but that is not who you are, you are the awareness of your presence.

He has such a good point that loving yourself isn’t the point. We have to go beyond beyond the self. Someone should send that video to Louise Hay
I understand and we can just be who we are as "am" . But in this life we will simply fade away if we are not dealing with the surface of things.
I agree I think we need both. Sometimes I focus on my self esteem, other times my self worth.
I absolutely want to experience the journey of truly loving myself, especially since I've spent so much time feeling disconnected and unhappy with who I am. For years, I carried around a sense of self-hatred, and now I realize that it's time to let that go and embrace who I am with kindness and compassion. But I also understand that being present-really living in the moment-is an essential part of self-love. It's about accepting myself as I am right now, without judgment or criticism. Embracing the present, with all its imperfections, is a powerful act of loving myself, too.
GO BEYOND HATING YOURSELF AND GO BEYOND LOVING YOURSELF

Eckhart Tolle and Gary Zukav (he is my favorite his voice is necessary) and Dolores Cannon and Louise Hay what 4 great ones. Mentors and Teachers of the Spirit. I wish more people become like them, I guess it takes time for others to realize these are the things we need to do.
"You are the presence, you are not the form that's a temporary expression of you but you are the underlying presense"
When I go into deep presence I am not a name, a body, or any earthly (programmed) identity. I am energy...frequency. SPIRIT...that is my TRUE identity born from love...all it takes is re-aligning with who you truly are because at the foundation of that is LOVE and you cannot help but to love yourself because you KNOW you are of divine source.
Also when you lose that egoic programmed self identity you learned from society (subconsciously) and become present with your true identity you enter the quantum field where all time and possibility exist, or in other words you blend with Source, or God and then you tap into the ultimate creative force of the universe and create your reality from a place of unity with God rather than from fear born out of programmed separation from God, which is why most fail at law of attraction work no matter how hard they try, you need to make this shift first. Namaste
I had 2 NDE's and saw that we are all pure unconditional Love. We learn that everything is a transaction, that we have to earn love and there are rewards and punishments. We learn to NOT be ourselves. In the NDE's, there was no "God" of any religion handing out rewards, punishments or judgements. I saw that I agreed to "this life" and the agreement was made out of pure Love. I was asked a question. If words were used, it would have been something like "Can you perceive everything, welcome everything in the same way you are being welcomed and held right now"? I saw that the challenge of this life was to remember who we ALL are and then live from there while embodied in this human experience.

I remember hearing this “love yourself” since the beginning of my path to Self-discovery and I always felt a bit strange about it. It didn’t seem plausible and now, after hearing Elkhart’s explanation, it makes sense to me now. Loving yourself means accepting yourself as you are just as you do in accepting others as they are. God loves us in this same way. It’s nice not feeling self critical or overly satisfied with one’s self. There is a constant contentment in each present moment.

Thank you Eckhart Tolle for this message about how to love myself again.
I think there is really good wisdom on self love and dealing with the personal aspect of life in psychology and personal development. There are many enlightened people in the personal development field who have a more sensible message that Eckhart Tolle. We are human and have emotions and processes that are well understood through psychology and personal development. Yes, working with your ego and the self that you are, a challenging but hugely rewarding practice. Learning to relate to others better can be improved through understanding your ego self. Having a broader perspective than just spiritualuality is crucial to being a better person.
Eckhart, thanks for the reminder.
Thank you, Eckhart. Peace and love. 🙏
How much I admire this man's mind!
I like how Eckhart Tolle explains going beyond loving and hating yourself. The chatter in my mind can be very negative at times and I can fall into a habit of identifying with it. Eckhart Tolle's teachings have helped me disconnect from that stream of thoughts and have helped reminded me of the importance of the present moment. The advice I always got when I identified with those thoughts was to learn to love myself, but that always felt impossible. Coming to a point beyond identifying with the thoughts...now I can see a way out of this mental construct, the ego identity. When people spoke of self love, I always felt trapped because I felt that I had to get to a point where that was the case for me.
Yes! To be free of the obligation to love myself makes it so much easier to feel open towards others!
We are not Animals, but humans made in Gods image which is a right view, of Love, self, and God, there is a true, balance of who we are, and who we are not.
The answer isn't to love yourself, it's to "be" yourself.

In the quiet spaces of your mind,
Where self-doubt may sometimes find,
A tender echo, soft and clear,
Whispers words you need to hear.
Love yourself, oh gentle soul,
In the mirror, make it whole.
For in your flaws and imperfections,
Lie the beauty of your reflections.
Embrace the scars that mark your skin,
Each a story, where you've been.
They tell of battles fought and won,
A testament to all you've done.
In every laugh, in every tear,
In every triumph, in every fear,
Find the strength to stand tall,
In the embrace of your own call.
Cherish the depths within your heart,
Where dreams ignite and passions start.
For in loving yourself, you'll come to see,
The boundless possibility.
So dance beneath the starlit sky,
With arms outstretched, let your spirit fly.
For you are worthy, you are enough,
A masterpiece of love's sweet stuff.
In the tapestry of life's grand scheme,
You're a thread, a radiant beam.
So hold yourself with gentle care,
And know that love is always there.
Love yourself, oh cherished friend,
For in that love, you'll find no end.
In every breath, in every hue,
Love yourself, for you are you.

A segment from 'Saved by the Light of the Buddha Within'...
My new understandings of what many call 'God -The Holy Spirit' - resulting from some of the extraordinary ongoing after-effects relating to my NDE...
Myoho-Renge-Kyo represents the identity of what some scientists are now referring to as the unified field of consciousnesses. In other words, it’s the essence of all existence and non-existence - the ultimate creative force behind planets, stars, nebulae, people, animals, trees, fish, birds, and all phenomena, manifest or latent. All matter and intelligence are simply waves or ripples manifesting to and from this core source. Consciousness (enlightenment) is itself the actual creator of everything that exists now, ever existed in the past, or will exist in the future - right down to the minutest particles of dust - each being an individual ripple or wave.
The big difference between chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo and most other conventional prayers is that instead of depending on a ‘middleman’ to connect us to our state of inner enlightenment, we’re able to do it ourselves. That’s because chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo allows us to tap directly into our enlightened state by way of this self-produced sound vibration. ‘Who or What Is God?’ If we compare the concept of God being a separate entity that is forever watching down on us, to the teachings of Nichiren, it makes more sense to me that the true omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence of what most people perceive to be God, is the fantastic state of enlightenment that exists within each of us. Some say that God is an entity that’s beyond physical matter - I think that the vast amount of information continuously being conveyed via electromagnetic waves in today’s world gives us proof of how an invisible state of God could indeed exist.
For example, it’s now widely known that specific data relayed by way of electromagnetic waves has the potential to help bring about extraordinary and powerful effects - including an instant global awareness of something or a mass emotional reaction. It’s also common knowledge that these invisible waves can easily be used to detonate a bomb or to enable NASA to control the movements of a robot as far away as the Moon or Mars - none of which is possible without a receiver to decode the information that’s being transmitted. Without the receiver, the data would remain impotent. In a very similar way, we need to have our own ‘receiver’ switched on so that we can activate a clear and precise understanding of our own life, all other life and what everything else in existence is.
Chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo each day helps us to achieve this because it allows us to reach the core of our enlightenment and keep it switched on. That’s because Myoho-Renge-Kyo represents the identity of what scientists now refer to as the unified field of consciousnesses. To break it down - Myoho represents the Law of manifestation and latency (Nature) and consists of two alternating states. For example, the state of Myo is where everything in life that’s not obvious to us exists - including our stored memories when we’re not thinking about them - our hidden potential and inner emotions whenever they’re dormant - our desires, our fears, our wisdom, happiness, karma - and more importantly, our enlightenment.
The other state, ho, is where everything in Life exists whenever it becomes evident to us, such as when a thought pops up from within our memory - whenever we experience or express our emotions - or whenever a good or bad cause manifests as an effect from our karma. When anything becomes apparent, it merely means that it’s come out of the state of Myo (dormancy/latency) and into a state of ho (manifestation). It’s the difference between consciousness and unconsciousness, being awake or asleep, or knowing and not knowing.
The second law - Renge - Ren meaning cause and ge meaning effect, governs and controls the functions of Myoho - these two laws of Myoho and Renge, not only function together simultaneously but also underlies all spiritual and physical existence.
The final and third part of the tri-combination - Kyo, is the Law that allows Myoho to integrate with Renge - or vice versa. It’s the great, invisible thread of energy that fuses and connects all Life and matter - as well as the past, present and future. It’s also sometimes termed the Universal Law of Communication - perhaps it could even be compared with the string theory that many scientists now suspect exists.
Just as the cells in our body, our thoughts, feelings and everything else is continually fluctuating within us - all that exists in the world around us and beyond is also in a constant state of flux - constantly controlled by these three fundamental laws. In fact, more things are going back and forth between the two states of Myo and ho in a single moment than it would ever be possible to calculate or describe. And it doesn’t matter how big or small, famous or trivial anything or anyone may appear to be, everything that’s ever existed in the past, exists now or will exist in the future, exists only because of the workings of the Laws ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’ - the basis of the four fundamental forces, and if they didn’t function, neither we nor anything else could go on existing. That’s because all forms of existence, including the seasons, day, night, birth, death and so on, are moving forward in an ongoing flow of continuation - rhythmically reverting back and forth between the two fundamental states of Myo and ho in absolute accordance with Renge - and by way of Kyo. Even stars are dying and being reborn under the workings of what the combination ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’ represents. Nam, or Namu - which mean the same thing, are vibrational passwords or keys that allow us to reach deep into our life and fuse with or become one with ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’.
On a more personal level, nothing ever happens by chance or coincidence, it’s the causes that we’ve made in our past, or are presently making, that determine how these laws function uniquely in each of our lives - as well as the environment from moment to moment. By facing east, in harmony with the direction that the Earth is spinning, and chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo for a minimum of, let’s say, ten minutes daily to start with, any of us can experience actual proof of its positive effects in our lives - even if it only makes us feel good on the inside, there will be a definite positive effect. That’s because we’re able to pierce through the thickest layers of our karma and activate our inherent Buddha Nature (our enlightened state). By so doing, we’re then able to bring forth the wisdom and good fortune that we need to challenge, overcome and change our adverse circumstances - turn them into positive ones - or manifest and gain even greater fulfilment in our daily lives from our accumulated good karma. This also allows us to bring forth the wisdom that can free us from the ignorance and stupidity that’s preventing us from accepting and being proud of the person that we indeed are - regardless of our race, colour, gender or sexuality. We’re also able to see and understand our circumstances and the environment far more clearly, as well as attract and connect with any needed external beneficial forces and situations. As I’ve already mentioned, everything is subject to the law of Cause and Effect - the ‘actual-proof-strength’ resulting from chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo always depends on our determination, sincerity and dedication.
For example, the levels of difference could be compared to making a sound on a piano, creating a melody, producing a great song, and so on. Something else that’s very important to always respect and acknowledge is that the Law (or if you prefer God) is in everyone and everything.
NB: There are frightening and disturbing sounds, and there are tranquil and relaxing sounds. It’s the emotional result of any noise or sound that can trigger off a mood or even instantly change one. When chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo each day, we are producing a sound vibration that’s the password to our true inner-self - this soon becomes apparent when you start reassessing your views on various things - such as your fears and desires etc. The best way to get the desired result when chanting is not to view things conventionally - rather than reaching out to an external source, we need to reach into our own lives and bring our needs and desires to fruition from within - including the good fortune and strength to achieve any help that we may need. Chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo also reaches out externally and draws us towards, or draws towards us, what we need to make us happy from our environment. For example, it helps us to be in the right place at the right time - to make better choices and decisions and so forth. We need to think of it as a seed within us that we’re watering and bringing sunshine to for it to grow, blossom and bring forth fruit or flowers. It’s also important to understand that everything we need in life, including the answer to every question and the potential to achieve every dream, already exists within us.
Gratitude ❤
Most of us are and have a weak sense of self ,i think the things you think or thoughts or a lacking of intelligence compounds it by the lack of verbal self ,and trauma plays a huge part even in the unconscious some trauma is blind to the conscious mind,ie in the informative years.4months to 36months
Great reminders here!
Eckhart, thank you so much for this video on how to love yourself. I once heard somewhere that a goldfish has a memory/attention span of 10 seconds. Oh how I wish I was a goldfish 🙏🏽❤️🥰
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 thank you so much eckhart
One part is be who you are another part is not being triggered by others think who you are.
Exactly, he doesn’t mention this
I had trouble my entire life loving myself now i feel the chance to love myself because God gave me the chance to do do with bringing me into the spiritual world through religion and angels. 29 years of suffering in mental prison in my life. And I had a spiritual awakening eg dark night of the soul and kundalini awakening and I think God wants to free me with His love out of mental shackles.
Self reflecting deflecting ..I think as mine as a temple what I allow in for learning all the time.
Wow! Yes!
