Glib and trite but take it or leave it. For me, I have never had anxiety but my twin has his whole life and still struggles. Nutrition obviously and sleep are the two pillars of health and you will never take care of others better than how well you can care for yourself--if you think you can god bless you. You want to stop having anxiety, then give your body what it evolved to have, the daily experience of real training, and the nightly experience of real rest. You have anxiety, that is fine, have anxiety there isnt much you can do about it without addressing those two things in my mind, take advice from others on how to actually see physical, mental and spiritual daily progress, and how to rest and recover everynight, but above all you must be open and curiouse to seek a unique path to such things in a way that you can actually honestly say to yourself that what you are doing feels right and is of a perfect intensity that learning is optemized FOR YOU. You alone decide what is working or not, and if you really want to be at peace and actually relax and be free from anxiety, you must learn how to train (all parts of you) and rest and recover maximally--again, according to you. Auto regulation is king some say in the lifting world, take it one day at a time. And my personal emphasis on this, and this is actually the hardest thing for people with anxiety to do from what I see, and without real training and rest is impossible, and is what some religous scriptures mean when they say you must be as a child to enter into heaven (while on earth), YOU MUST BE SEPERATE FROM YOUR THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS, BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT THEM EXACTLY, YOU JUST EXPERIENCE THEM--LET YOURSELF FORGET AND FORGIVE FREELY--CHILDREN KNOW THIS NATURALLY.
I very much hear and understand what Dr. Doty is saying as I work in adult education where I see everyday how the way you see yourself has real physical change and outcomes. The way of the mind is an enormous powerhouse for every human on this planet. But I also have to say even though I can’t prove the spiritual things that have happened to me but I can see their presence. This could be discounted as randomness but when you do the math on probability you find the level of randomness defies the maths particularly once you get to middle age it somehow increases. So the universe I feel is a whole intelligence of its own but I also feel we have all that intelligence inside us. I say feel because as strange and spooky and unexplainable as this sounds I actually feel it like a biological feeling. It has been this feeling I think has opened my brain up to think out a problem in a way I was never able to do when younger. Is this wisdom? Maybe but as much as I feel I am the author of my own wisdom I feel like it was also revealed unto me by the universe. That makes me feel connected. I used to feel lonely and isolated from a young age but I don’t feel that now that I recognise my life is part of revealings to me. The universe has intelligence and mystery I can’t really fathom but I feel privileged to be a part of it despite the sadnesses that have happened. I can’t explain why feelings exist but the feeling of being connected to the universe even though I can’t explain how that happens is like something that feels solid or makes you feel grounded more rational and does feed positivity. But there is a lot of sense in what the Doctor says but for me I have found there is an even bigger and brighter picture out there too. I defiantly think we are all designed to access that part too.

Thank you both , I have been fascinated by interviews of Dr. Doty , and have ordered his books and reading them, while I 100% agree with you Dr. Doty, it just came to mind that the argument of "in order to manifest your intentions, it has to serve humanity for it to work ", how does one explains those who commit serial acts of evil , imagine the types of evils, though their intentions has nothing to do with humanity or service to it, why are many of such evil minded individuals are "successful" in manifesting their intentions? thanks for your response
I lived in former USSR under socialistic regime and I can assure people who have tendency not to like capitalism, capitalism 70% better. I came to America when I was 40 in 1992. I can tell that America was and still is for me the best thing that happen to me in my life. I am terrify that with the tendency to replace capitalistic system with socialism in a future I had to live under socialistic regime again.
I find that going to the beach and finding a very calm cove, then floating on my back for around 45 minutes, rests the nervous system, especially if the water is a bit cool.
Great conversation! I had a similar child hood, a healing journey that has been unfolding for over 30 years! I am moving towards sharing my journey in hope of possibly helping someone else. Thankyou !💗
Incredible and profound interview, especially enjoyed Dr dissecting 'common' spiritual and religious indoctrinations of our times. Great critical question to Dr @ 1:13:59, and his dispelling the false narratives of 'manifesting' many of us are likely tired of. And Dr's final words that he leaves us with, meant to guide us to our purpose on earth; to truly contribute ourselves to others during our time here.
Here I am again 😌 . I am very glad to hear that the young woman who has graduated from medical school is going to a psychiatrist. She has so much to bring that will stretch beyond the DSM and support many people to be more than a diagnostician and a diagnosis. 🌱
Loved, “Into the Magic Shop.” I will be looking to buy your book. It is so good to hear compassion, understanding, practicality. And knowing if I don’t quite make the cut, it’s ok.
This is my first exposure to this gentleman, so I’m basing my comment on solely this interview. I find it ironic and sad that he has evolved regarding his purpose and what’s important in this life, emotionally beyond where I am, but he is blind to his spiritual nature. I believe that he is a spirit having a human experience and is missing so much of the point of this life and awareness of our interconnectedness. We each still have time to live and learn. 😊 I can appreciate how he is helping others!
This was just absolutely wonderful much appreciated. A lot of it I kind of known but the presentation of the things that I didn’t connect that clearly are so wonderful. Thank you so much.
Great interview. Enjoyed it very much. A lot of Truths that can help many find ways to achieve their niche in life. Learnt a lot from your perspective. Thank you for a great show.
@swagsurfer03 Whether you "believe" or not, you're right. Our minds perceive reality the way we think it is. To know this, one must go beyond the mind to awareness.
Very interesting words by James Doty. Thank you for making this interview happen. Whats with your complacent smile ? The contrast with your host is massive. I guess you d benefit from keeping it cool.
Dude you did not have to hammer the guy with the alcohol question right off the bat. Should have built it up naturally with discussion around his childhood. Seems very inconsiderate.
I agree completely with you on that. This isn’t a therapy session..it’s an interview. To throw such an intrusive question at the beginning was uncalled for.
The "guy" is a grown up man with what seems the required emotional balance and sharp intellect to express any inconvenience that would be presented to him... We appreciate your concerns but clearly here they are not relevant.
the manifesting thing for me anyway, seems to swing on the hinges, of what we think about we bring about…. the thoughts we have are energetic and since apparently this world exists as it does, because of energy waves and frequencies, it makes sense to this current understanding i have of it, then personal realities truly do depend on the frequencies our thoughts emit… coming to this point of self awareness is the tricky part; especially when our starts are skewed by trauma, abuse, neglect and our own personal makeup like being a Highly Sensitive and/or ADHD or autistic… that makes things extra exceptionally tricky… this is a great discussion …. the constant stress is definitely unnatural and certainly skews our natural abilities to express nurture, joy, connections and community…
Wonderful hearing the interview with one of my favorite dear friends, the lovely Jams Doty. Thank you for sharing this wisdom, we are very appreciative of this teaching and we look forward to other inspirational projects! Nomi 💖🙏
just a bit of constructive criticism, the wobbly screen change is really annoying and distracting, it should be a cut we hardly notice. Good video though.
Wonderful interview! Thank you. And thank you for letting your guest speak to without interruption. I learned a lot and felt a little hope. I didn't agree with everything this doctor shared but i think he had good intentions.
I agree mostly on what the doctor said. But the doctor is speaking from a very materialistic, left brained, Western worldview. Poopooing the transcendent, leave his teaching/viewpoint incomplete. Yes, God of religion is childish, but God, as the Infinite Intelligence, more complete, in my opinion.
We are God, only God can create , we are creating our lives daily. We are God disguising ourselves as humans to show us all the path we need to follow to teach us all how to find bliss, we find bliss when we awaken. God is creating his own suffering to help all those parts of himself who are lost in their illusionary selves (being human) that it's time for us all we need to awaken! ( We = God) put ourselves to sleep to live within this human illusionary world = (the dream the suffering), to show everyone who they truly are and awakening is coming back to God to our true selves , ( suffer little children to come unto me ) We are God's little children ( his creation) it's all God creating everything including us! AMEN ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think free will is more complicated than that. While I believe that we choose all of our experiences prior to incarnation, I believe we also choose an infinite number of choice points in our lives (including choosing to operate out of a re-action from our wounded subconscious mind, or make a conscious response). So, while all choice points may have been predetermined by us, we have free will to choose the outcome in each one.
What I would do differently: I would not assume that listeners have read the guest's book. This way, I would avoid creating a partial picture. The continuous reference to unknown facts created frustration for me, just like being presented with some pieces of a puzzle.
Just get clear on what you want and how you feel. Live that truth in every moment ruthlessly if you have to. Let people paint you as a villain if that’s what it takes. Just dismiss anything and anyone else’s opinion of that. Do you unapologetically. Put focus on what you want enough and you’ll find a way. Most importantly, do not ever quit whatever you do. Break down if you need to but always recommit. Focus on your wins, life always fluctuates. You may interpret that as ”selfish gen z new wave western psuedo-spiritual indoctrination” but if you do, ask yourself if you’d rather live YOUR life or other people’s? You have 24h in a day, how do you want to spend that day? And the rest of your life. What do you want to focus on. This is what has worked for me.
I have had a number of premonitory dreams that came true shortly afterwards that proved to me something is out there communicating with us. There was no way I could have known these events would happen and yet they did.
Must disagree with the esteemed and well respected Dr. Doty. The Universe does care and for some reason the Universe knew that he needed a Ruth in his life and that he would make the most of what she taught and so it was. I have experienced too many times that, it wasn't synchronicity, that the Universe has given just what I needed. Not what I most wanted, but always what I needed.
The laws of nature does Not care about the welfare of humans. However, the designer, implementer, and sustainer of Life and the laws of nature...cares about the welfare of humans.
@MD-bu3xc I agree with you. Present science is too orthodox having its own superstitions what most of the scientists & doctors think .They are in matrix ,may divine is wise enough to give insight who is capable to understand wisdom (and is pure enough on many lifetimes kind ,compassionate acts purifying karmic layers) Only those great scientists like Tesla , Oppenheimer have been able to go beyond and have become spiritual .So is the true with steve Jobs , mark zukerberg , richard alpert (Ram dass Harvard professor) have had glimpse of this. Universe must be intelligent there is no way. Unfortunately present objective science due to its inherent limitations cannot grasp it so they deny it.
God in the most simple of terms definitely seems to have care and mercy on us hence we are happily living and breathing practically unconsciously more then 50% of my time , I can't speak for everyone else but ysB glad to have this video as an outlet, thank you
Thank you both. My experience: Feeling is healing ~ Connecting with 'The Creator ( an entity which I can't see feel , or touch ), and the belief - One for all, and all for one.
It was so lovely hearing about your teacher, I want my life to be remembered as someone who loved to serve & show compassion to all!! I am 86 & still love to help other’s!! God has richly blessed me in my life, I gave up life to Jesus when I was 47. 🔥❤️🔥
The last time I saw the Dalai Lama, he tried to tongue kiss a little child live on stage in front of the whole world. His team tried to explain it away. Dr JD, I hope you can find it in your heart to shed some tears for that little child and the many others…
Enlighten Beings are living in "present moment, " which means there's no past or future, not unlike our first seven years of life. This is very liberating and playful. It's not an excuse, but an explanation.
What you are saying about the Dalai Lama. This is shocking and needs further attention. Tibertan Buddhism is a mixed bag. Look at what Tibet was likes where the Spiritual Leaders led. Serfdom. And also look at Songyal Rinpoche he is a srx predator. The tibetan Buddhist movement is full of problems. Luke the Catholic Church and Christian Fundamentalist.
The distrust that comes from being decieved or bullied online...is causing emotional distress especially in the young. Be sure to relate to others in real life - above screenlife...& minimise watching neg material online. We need to truly experience our 3D reality- & not get sucked into imagination.
I find it difficult that the good doctor doesn't subscribe to a higher power. His explanation of god in tribal sense is a bit shallow in my view. God, in the religious sense, is also very childish. But god, as the transcendent, is experiential. God/nature/Emptiness exists in my experience Very good interview. .
Your experience is your experience and consequently how you interpret your experiences is true for you. And others do the same. So believe as you choose to. NO ONE KNOWS YET IF EVER WHAT MAY FOLLOWS BIOLOGICAL DEATH.
Way off on the roots of spirituality since he seems to conflate religion to power and hierarchy. Better to think of the four functions of myth by Joseph Campbell to see why myths/religions are endemic in humans. It’s fashionable to dismiss religion, and it has many faults, but there are beautiful concepts that don’t need to be tossed out so glibly. Spirituality is in religions. Trading religious practices for non hierarchical one doesn’t mean the older traditions are useless. I too am spiritual and have multiple practices and a traditional association, and do t find them in opposition. His thoughts on traditional religion are way too general. Otherwise, a decent conversation.
Thank you for this information was very helpful. Although, his statement that “the universe doesn’t care about you” and his reference to higher powers, although may have some truth to them, the attitude that he is promoting and the way he states his views as fact is really just the same coping mechanism that religion uses to express the unknown. I would really like to inspire Dr. Doty to express a more honest view that is that we don’t really know either way… I mean, from my perspective, just the fact that we care is evidence enough that the universe cares because we are part of that same life force. Thank you for this program and I thank Dr. Doty for his insights..
What he means is that the universe doesn't care how you live your life, if you're happy or not, "successful" or not "a good person" or not, ect... Does things are meaningless when it comes to the grandious of the universe. We spend so much energy thinking about those things when in reality those things are trivial.
@@kalprao I understand, from what I know life itself has no inherent meaning and we are the ones that give meaning to life. Yet, because we give meaning to life and our ancestors have built on that meaning is still proof enough that there are forces at play that do care for our wellbeing. so I still don't think his statement is in full truth. Thank you so much for your viewpoint. Be well.
I really don’t like the concept of manifestation. We are constantly manifesting, as the doctor says, but it’s not something we do consciously, and most of what we manifest are not things/situations we realize we need. We might manifest something that seems, on the surface, to be absolutely terrible, but it’s something we need for reasons we may not currently understand and may never be able to understand. I do know that the more we try to control, i.e., “manifest” in the context the host is using, the worse off we are. The more we want something, the less likely we are to get it. And certainly, when we are focused on “manifesting” the things our patriarchal, capitalist society tells us will make us happy, we cannot possibly become content and fulfilled. Humans need very little in the way of material things. We need food, water and, in some cases, shelter. More than any of those things though, we need connection. And the more stuff we have, the more elusive connection becomes. So while you’re spending your energy trying to “manifest” a nice car, a big house, and lots of money, you’re actually pushing away that which you need even more than air, water and food.
On RUclips a documentary movie so worth seeing about the life of DR JACK PREGER. He is still alive, the documentary leaves out loads. Shy man. Wouldn’t have been into the making of it. But it is so much totally and everything to do with compassion in action.

This is my 1st video of yours & I LOVE THIS INTERVIEW. THUS, KEEP UP YOUR GREAT WORK, BROTHER 👍🏽🤞🕉☮️😊
Yes it seems that capitalism is being replaced right now world wide with socialism for sure
💯 capitalism does promote creativity. If you work towards something you can make progress.
Deep breathing and body scanning I have found are the best ways for me to activate my parasympathetic nervous system.
Thankyou !💗
As a first time viewer, this is the most enjoyable first view of a show, ever. Thank you.🙏
Highly recomended listening. Very simple and mellow potent!
Quality interview skills!! Wisdom and humility of the speaker speak loudly Do pass this on. It is transformational AND without Any 'Woo'
Thank you!!
Exactly.
I will look for this book.. it would be great if written for children…Approx age 10-11+. Perhaps it is appropriate (?)♥️
Intellectual analysis of the universe is making this fine man a novice of life.
It’s his journey- this is great information for others on their journey.
I would love to hear what he has to say about all of this in about 10 years.
What does that even mean?
You have a beautiful heart Dr Doty 🙏🏽
What a kind human being and great physician is Dr. Doty. He 's vibration is incredible high! On the contrary this RUclipsr better get a job ...
I can appreciate how he is helping others!
ACE’s. Your great brains are a great help.
What a great interview and exactly what I needed to hear today. Thank you!
Excellent interview on both sides. Such a common issue hiding in plain sight.
Wow Dr Doty did not say one thing that my experience doesn’t tell mi is true. Thank you, Light Watkins for this guest and your style of interview.
Mr Watkins, you have been a perfect host, I have really enjoyed this podcast 😊
Great discussion. Unlike the others, I didn’t mind your first question for Dr. Doty. Very thought provoking. Thanks!
This was just absolutely wonderful much appreciated. A lot of it I kind of known but the presentation of the things that I didn’t connect that clearly are so wonderful. Thank you so much.
Love James Doty and have watched many of his interviews. Great questions on this one that make it quite different from others, thank you.
Great interview!!!
How very grateful to hear this wonderful talk. Thanks yo both if you for this!
Great interview. Enjoyed it very much. A lot of Truths that can help many find ways to achieve their niche in life. Learnt a lot from your perspective. Thank you for a great show.
Really interesting. Very much appreciated the humanity of this dr. Many thanks.
You sir are an excellent interviewer... First time listening... I'll def b back
The universe doesn't care? We are the universe.
You are so wise. The doctor is very profound, but the materialistic approach alone can not explain everything. We are the universe in a finite form.
No we aren’t
@swagsurfer03 Whether you "believe" or not, you're right. Our minds perceive reality the way we think it is. To know this, one must go beyond the mind to awareness.
I think he’s saying we’re a product of childhood there is no deity to protect children from adults.
I love your interview style. Please invite Dr Joe Dispenza🙏🏾
Thank you so much for the interview! I love The Magic Shop! So happy to find your channel!
He wasn’t a sifter of information. He dealt with every one of
Very interesting words by James Doty. Thank you for making this interview happen. Whats with your complacent smile ? The contrast with your host is massive. I guess you d benefit from keeping it cool.
Thank you kindly for this interview.
Thank you for a very realistic refreshing interview. Especially for the Alphabet of the ♡ Blessed journey to all
Great interview 😊
AMAZING ! Thank you for this content !
@@helencavanagh8119 exactly!
Self Guru...it matters not ❤
AGREE, VERY OFF PUTTING RIGHT OFF THE BAT, THE HOST IS SUPPOSED TO BE KIND
The "guy" is a grown up man with what seems the required emotional balance and sharp intellect to express any inconvenience that would be presented to him... We appreciate your concerns but clearly here they are not relevant.
Thank you. That was absolutely wonderful.....
This is the most important conversation of our time.
Excellent interview! Very inspiring. Thank you.
Thank you again Dr Doty. :)
Hmmm, very good one. Really liked it. It connects many dots. Now its time to practice 😀
I enjoyed listening to you. Thanks
Loved this interview! Thank you!!!
Loved this, thank you ❤
the manifesting thing for me anyway, seems to swing on the hinges, of what we think about we bring about…. the thoughts we have are energetic and since apparently this world exists as it does, because of energy waves and frequencies, it makes sense to this current understanding i have of it, then personal realities truly do depend on the frequencies our thoughts emit… coming to this point of self awareness is the tricky part; especially when our starts are skewed by trauma, abuse, neglect and our own personal makeup like being a Highly Sensitive and/or ADHD or autistic… that makes things extra exceptionally tricky… this is a great discussion …. the constant stress is definitely unnatural and certainly skews our natural abilities to express nurture, joy, connections and community…
Wow what a beautiful soul
Thanks for sharing
Wonderful hearing the interview with one of my favorite dear friends, the lovely Jams Doty. Thank you for sharing this wisdom, we are very appreciative of this teaching and we look forward to other inspirational projects!
Nomi 💖🙏
just a bit of constructive criticism, the wobbly screen change is really annoying and distracting, it should be a cut we hardly notice. Good video though.
I dislike very much that wobbly screen as well...disturbing/annoying
@@eniddeleon8421 yes very annoying
Wonderful interview! Thank you. And thank you for letting your guest speak to without interruption. I learned a lot and felt a little hope. I didn't agree with everything this doctor shared but i think he had good intentions.
I agree mostly on what the doctor said. But the doctor is speaking from a very materialistic, left brained, Western worldview.
Poopooing the transcendent, leave his teaching/viewpoint incomplete. Yes, God of religion is childish, but God, as the Infinite Intelligence, more complete, in my opinion.
Information good. Especially from about 40:00 I will listen to again and again. 🙏Thank you. Wishing all here well.
So sorry I found the replies so much more interesting. So many enlighteneed people.
Impresionante! Superb! Thank you. Best wishes.
So very true.
Loved this talk
That was magnificent. I will listen again.
Very enjoyable
Beautiful person, wonderful interview, but the universe does care.
I have had a number of premonitory dreams that came true shortly afterwards that proved to me something is out there communicating with us. There was no way I could have known these events would happen and yet they did.
Perfect.
Thank you
Must disagree with the esteemed and well respected Dr.
@MD-bu3xc
I agree with you.
Present science is too orthodox having its own superstitions what most of the scientists & doctors think .They are in matrix ,may divine is wise enough to give insight who is capable to understand wisdom (and is pure enough on many lifetimes kind ,compassionate acts purifying karmic layers)
Only those great scientists like Tesla , Oppenheimer have been able to go beyond and have become spiritual .So is the true with steve Jobs , mark zukerberg , richard alpert (Ram dass Harvard professor) have had glimpse of this.
Universe must be intelligent there is no way. Unfortunately present objective science due to its inherent limitations cannot grasp it so they deny it.
I haven't
God in the most simple of terms definitely seems to have care and mercy on us hence we are happily living and breathing practically unconsciously more then 50% of my time , I can't speak for everyone else but ysB glad to have this video as an outlet, thank you
What about wars where innocent people suffer so much?
Abstain is best ….it was rude to ask , yes but it did worked…. Is because he is willing to share !
Thank you both. My experience: Feeling is healing ~ Connecting with 'The Creator ( an entity which I can't see feel , or touch ), and the belief - One for all, and all for one.
My teacher picked up every phone call every email every thing❤ he didn’t know my last name , profession nothing. His life was service
It was so lovely hearing about your teacher, I want my life to be remembered as someone who loved to serve & show compassion to all!! I am 86 & still love to help other’s!! God has richly blessed me in my life, I gave up life to Jesus when I was 47. 🔥❤️🔥
Thank you Very interesting
Great book!! I have it!!
Very interesting!
The last time I saw the Dalai Lama, he tried to tongue kiss a little child live on stage in front of the whole world. His team tried to explain it away. Dr JD, I hope you can find it in your heart to shed some tears for that little child and the many others…
What ??????
Can you elaborate on that !?!???
Enlighten Beings are living in "present moment, " which means there's no past or future, not unlike our first seven years of life. This is very liberating and playful. It's not an excuse, but an explanation.
Thank you for pointing that out.
God/nature/Emptiness exists in my experience
Very good interview.
Thank youu
I heard this story before during a mindfulness audio book regarding the magician lady and, ironically, I just found that person who told the story. ❤❤
Doty to express a more honest view that is that we don’t really know either way…
I mean, from my perspective, just the fact that we care is evidence enough that the universe cares because we are part of that same life force.
Dogmatiism isn't just the domain of religion, unfortunately. 😢
Be well.
This is a really awesome stuff. But has anyone seen the movie up? ❤️❤️
Thank you! ❤🤟🇪🇨
Curious if the Dr avoids news media of all the suffering in the world..
I want to ask Dr. Doty if he has been in touch with woman who helped him when he was twelve.
That was the Divine Grace of The Universe (which he doesn't believe in)working through that lady to "foward assist " him.
What about Love?
🎉 happy to be a new subscriber
Well, that's the end of that !
