Excellent review! I like that monopod! I have a collapsible selfie stick with a tripod attachment that screws on to the bottom, but with that connect it is quite long to store in pack while running. I generally just use the tripod attachment for that reason. This Telesin one looks great because it has both pieces and is small! Awesome!
Very cool, the rapid deployment tripod will make me feel like I am annoying my friends less than when I have to set up the tripod on the GoPro made 3-way + tripod. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome, it is certainly a time saver for sure. If you get one let me know how it works out. One note, I just watched your Picacho Peak video and I would say the Telesin would struggle in terrain like that as a tripod.
@@TrailSage ha yeah for that hike the primary mount was the chesty, which I don't usually need for very long periods. The tripod will probably work out great on a lot of dirt approaches though, I'll keep you posted!
@@TrailSage Ha, of course only a few hours after buying the Telesin, I saw that GoPro came out with the 3-way 2.0 (gopro.com/en/us/shop/mounts-accessories/3-way-2.0/AFAEM-002.html) Not as rapid as the Telesin for tripod, but much faster than previous 3-way. And maybe a little more stable than the Telesin? Also, I like the 3-way arm so that I can be sure the selfie stick isn't in the shot.
This is essential bit of kit Sage especially for people like us. I have something very similar. Thanks for sharing the review of yours Sage. The fall at the end was very comedic 🤣 great video as always bro keep it up! 😎🤘🏻
Adding this to my MTBing gear. I currently take a gorilla tripod mostly for hanging from tree. It’s replaced annually ask the legs tend to break after frequent bending. Thanks for the review.
I still use a gorilla pod from time to time too, but this monopod is def my go-to. Fits in my hydration pack nicely making it ideal for MTBing. Thanks for watching brotha.
New to your channel. Just wanted to share that your videos are top level, very professional and high quality. I’m now a new subscriber. Happy Holidays. Walter
Excellent review. Succinct, yet thorough. I just opened my monopod today and since I often like to control the GoPro from my iPhone, the phone holder attachment is perfect. 90 cm also seems just right. Any longer and you have a fishing rod.
Sage - thanks for another super gear review. You cover everything and all I had to do was click on the Amazon link! Upgrading from my GoPro shorty stick. And thanks for another beautifully shot and edited video, always learning when I watch your stuff. I did stay to the end, glad the tree didn't get hurt lol! 😂
Great review, very slick. A bit jealous of some of those gadgets!! Also, didn’t realised you like the road bike too... very true about those 3 essentials . I am looking at the insta go 2 now, as I hate running with heavy gear...
Thx James. After 20+ years in media you tend to accumulate gear, lol. I ride and run the road for training to save my body from the trails. I was just looking at the Insta Go 2 as well, still on the fence about it. The quality is not quite as good as the GoPro, but man does it look convenient.
Great tool, I took something like this but I can't wait to get the Karma Grip from goPro that's out of stock for some time. Nice review and I love your videos, you're making great content! 👏
Great videos! Just found your channel from your Coventry Woods course preview. As someone just getting a GoPro, these videos are great. *** What chest Mount do you use and what bike Mount do you use? Thanks!
Hey Tim, that's awesome! I just followed you back on Strava. I use the GoPro chest mount for POV shots. As for a bike mount, I use the SmallRig Clamp (I did a video on that as well). Thanks for watching brotha.
I love that intro bro! So weird how you just came out with this video and I was gonna send you a DM on Instagram on what kind of tripod/selfie stick do you use for your GO PRO. I actually picked up almost a similar selfie stick/monopod on Amazon myself recently and I've never really used the clockwise locking method, thank goodness you came out with this video. LOL. Definitely gonna take your advice on wrapping the handle with some tape for extra grip. So I plan on riding my bike a lot this year, I think I've seen in some of your videos, you have the monopod attached to the bike? I plan to do the same. Thanks for another awesome review and tips.
Let me know what you picked up and how you like it Marvin. As for how to mount a GoPro to a bike I use an articulating arm or chesty mount. I try and review the other mounts later this year.
Thank you for watching. I use athletic tape on the handle and legs to keep it from slipping when my hands get sweaty. Here is a link to it: amzn.to/3yZ8Xho
@@TrailSage Thanks, I watch your video two times, nice movements and explanation, one more query which will be best carbon fibre or aluminium based telesion monopod?
me too, That telesin is my all time favourite...I call it "all in one GoPro tripod".
Yes, it is the best! Thank you for watching
Last clip is so true, the number of times a workout or a run is interrupted to get “that” shot is ridiculous.....
Ha! So true! Thanks for watching to the very end.
Great video Sage, love to see the behind the scenes and all the cool gadgets! And the things you do for a video 😂 Engaging review. Thanks 👍!
Thx man. I appreciate the feedback.
Nice product. I just purchased my first piece of equipment. Thanks for the review!
Awesome Toby. I think it will be perfect for your hikes. Let me know what you think when you get it.
Thanks for the review and for the tape tip! Already ordered!
Awesome! Glad it helped. Thanks for watching and commenting.
This is great, the perfect gadget I need! Thanks, Sage!
Right on Gill, it’s been a game changer for me. There should be a link in the description to my Amazon affiliate link.

Your videos are really well filmed! I love the production value
Thanks Suzie, you are much too kind. This tool has made production a lot better.

I've a very similar Smatree pole, I do take a smaller stick sometimes but most of the time I'll be using the one that looks like yours Sage 👍🏃
Ah yes, they look similar Martin. I think head and tripod work a little different but the basic concept is the same. Good stuff.

@@barundas7365 Wonderful, thank you! I only own the aluminum monopod that I featured in the video so I can't tell you which is better, sorry.
do you still recommend this monopod or is there new one you're using?
Absolutely! If they are still making them, they are 100% worth it. I currently have two that use on every ride or run.
It's waterproof....? Thank you...
Hi Leandro, it's all aluminum so you should be ok. Hope that helps.
I broke my tripod leg, where can I get a replacement for it
I would reach out to Telesin and see if they will replace it for you. telesinstore.com/pages/contact-us
Is it weak?
Yes it is weak
Can I use this underwater?
Hmmm, good question. The poles and legs are aluminum, but there might be washers and bolts that could rust.
Just don’t like the twist and lock.
I can appreciate that Tom, although I'm not sure what other mechanism could be used in it's place. The twist lock has worked and held up great for me.

@@shadevelt Yes, you twist to unlock the segments. Try watching the video again and look at how I extend the pole.
Some said it feels cheap
Well I can’t speak for other people, but I feel like if punches way above its class. For the price you can’t lose.
